101108 JYJ JaeJoong Tattoos Memories of DBSK on Flesh

Dong Bang Shin Ki's trio, JaeJoong, Yoochun and Junsu, have formed their new unit JYJ after leaving ex-agency SMEntertainment, keeping minimal contact with the two members Yunho and Changmin who stayed behind. JYJ was reluctant to discuss about their past in Dong Bang Shin Ki as JaeJoong said, "Can we talk about this year? This year has been great."
In actual fact, he has a tattoo of "TVfXQ SOUL (DBSK soul)" on his back, and it is nearly impossible for him to rid of the shadow of DBSK.

Last night, the trio held their first showcase in Taiwan under the name "JYJ" in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre, attracting more than 5000 people. After going through the legal dispute due to the termination of their contracts, the trio now has stronger friendship with each other. Before the interview yesterday, JaeJoong revealed a new tattoo saying "MICKY JUNSU" on his lower back. Yoochun also tattooed JaeJoong and Junsu's name on his chest, but both did not include names of Yunho and Changmin.

JaeJoong and Yoochun's Soul Mate Tattoo
After the trio filed for the lawsuit to terminate their contract, the group "Dong Bang Shin Ki", which the members debuted under 7 years ago, ceased. When asked about the happiest and saddest event that happened since debut, JaeJoong paused and asked, "Can we talk about this year?" Apparent that he does not want to bring up the past, he casually commented that the happiest moment was when they first received their new album.
Yoochun and JaeJoong, who both likes tattooing, tattooed the name "TVfXQ" on their backs. Afterwards, both added on "Soul" and "Mate", which makes up "TVfXQ Soul Mate". It seems like it is extremely difficult for them to forget their past.
Yesterday, before they left Taiwan in afternoon, 600 fans, who were at the airport to send them off, shouted, "Don't go!" the moment they saw the trio.

4 JYJ's 'Most' List, 2 of which is JaeJoong

One who has most tattos: A total of 9/JaeJoong
One who can drink (alcohol) the least: Get drunk easily, have mostly never paid the bill before/Junsu
One who is the laziest in bed: The latest to wake up, tend to have morning temper/ Yoochun
One who has the sharpest tongue: even he admits to it/JaeJoong

Reason Why JYJ Photo session was canceled for SG VIP's

I think their reason is quite lame.. lol.. they said it was due to wardrobe difficulties in Bangkok which caused them to cancel the photo session in Bangkok which made them decide to cancel it in Singapore too.. what does cancelling the photo session in Bangkok have to do with the session in Sg?? *_* with regards to the wardrobe issue, I think C-Jes probably wanted JYJ to have a different outfit during the photo session? But actually we really don't mind if JYJ were to just wear their showcase outfits for the photo session..haha. and since C-Jes decided to include the photo session initially, i think they should have already prepared the outfits beforehand.. maybe they changed their minds about having the photo session and just used the wardrobe issue as an excuse?

SM Town Live is coming to Taiwan in 2011

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gi9hpn7mo8q&feature=player_embedded

On the November 8th, MTV Taiwan’s Top Entertainment show covered SHINee‘s recent visit to Taiwan.
Among some of the things shown was an announcement saying that SM Town will be making a stop in Taiwan next year!
The show talks about how SHINee went out for Taiwanese food and they love bubble tea and noodles before their first fan meeting. Although one of the members had to sit and sing because of a foot injury, the presence of so many fans made the boys very emotional.
The show mentions how the fans were being really creative in trying to draw their attention and some were even wearing Korean clothes.
Of course, they also covered how Jonghyun cried during the meeting and the Korean media has said that it was because of the pressure he’s under but MTV Taiwan believes it was because of the warmth of the fans. All five said they want to come to Taiwan next year.

“In April of next year, the whole family will come, including Super Junior, Girls Generation, of course SHINee.” [MTV Taiwan]

If One Can Travel Back In Time

An author posted a creative question in a blog regarding to the messages for DBSK if she can travel back to 2005. Here is the question:

I am time traveling back to 2005. Anyone needs my help to pass your messages to DBSK?

Below are some of the replies from readers:

Please tell them,
even though they are struggling now in Japan, please hold on, because they are going to make it some day...

Tell them to take good care of themselves
and to drive safely
Rest more and don't be worn out, because there are lots of people who concern about them.

Can I go with you?
If can't, please help me to tell them the recent lottery result
and ask them to buy lottery
Cause there will be no more suffering if they have enough money

Please tell Kim Junsu, Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin that all their dreams are coming true...
Please tell them, there is nothing more precious than the moment when five of them being together
Tell them that you are from the future, explain the current situation to them, and then ask them whether they are still willing to choose that path...
And if they do... please tell them, we will always love them no matter what.
The only thing I regret the most is that I didn't accompany them through out year 2004 & 2005...

Please tell Shim Changmin, to avoid crowded areas in the airport on 2nd of September.
Please tell Jung Yunho, never take the drinks from a stranger on 12.10.2006, and be careful not to sprain his leg
Please tell Kim Jaejoong to drive safely, and regardless of his name is Han Jaejoong or Kim Jaejoong, people who love him will always stand by him.
Please tell Park Yoochun that it's alright to cry in MKMF, but please remember to hold his hands when you are telling him this. And, if he really likes someone, he can go after her.
Please tell Kim Junsu to take care of his health at the end of year 2006, and be careful not to injure his leg during rehearsal in 2009 because my heart aches seeing him on a wheelchair. Tell him that even when he is old and not popular anymore, there will always be a group of people who craves to listen to his songs, watch him cracking oyaji gag, and admiring his smiles.
Please tell Dong Bang Shin Ki, that they are going to be successful in Japan, they are going to make it to Budokan and Kohaku Uta Gassen Music Festival.
If any heartbreaking thing ever happens, just hold on to their dreams......

If the day, just like the one in 2009, ever arrives, you don’t need to become matured over night, because you still have us.
You are the present to us from God, you won't be alone.
If that day really comes, please tell them not to be afraid, and continue walking down the path that they have chosen.

Please tell them that it's alright to have mistakes in dance moves, and have voice cracked when belting the high notes....
The most important thing is their health.

Please help me to tell Yunho never ever take that drinks in 2006... and don't forget his meal
Tell Jaejoong not to over practicing his dance till end up with bone fracture
Tell Yoochun to treat his asthma as soon as possible
Tell Junsu not to force himself to sing if he is not feeling well
Tell Changmin that we are proud of him, and never say things like 'it is better without me' again

Help me tell Dong Bang Shin Ki
not to push themselves too hard when practicing
because of their desire to present a perfect stage for us, cassiopeias
We only want to see all of them in the pink of health.

And... the last but not least,
please remember to tell them that,
5 years from now,
there will be a group of people who are waiting for five of them to come home one day...

JaeChunSu Fanaccount in NYC

I'm a pretty boring person. I don't really talk to other people about my idols. I buy their CDs and all the fan goods but I'd never share with other people. I don't want people asking why I like so and so. Even when I first became a fan of DBSk, I'd critisize Jaejoong's dancing and Yunho's singing, but since JYJ formed their new unit, I've completely changed. I want to be able to see as much of them as possible whilst they're still in the spotlight. I want to go to their concerts and let the world know how much I love them.

November 9th 10:50pm

I found out Facebook and Twitter that they were having dinner at some restaurant in Manhattan and so I abandoned the work I was doing, grabbed my purse and ran out the door. 25USD and 20 minutes later, I found out - to my disappointment- that they'd already left. Nearby, I saw a Korean fan. I walked over to speak to her only to be joined by another fan awhile later. We ran over to the boys' hotel and sat in the lobby, listening to a group of staff discussing matters regarding the performance venues. My newly acquired friend asked the members of staff about the boys' schedules (of course, I can't disclose that here) and then we continued to wait...

The whole time we were wondering whether or not the boys had already returned to the hotel or if they'd come down at all. Then the impossible happened… a man walked through the door, and he looked strangely like Yoochun… As a got a closer look, I realized that it really was him! He's so thin… and his hair… His small frame was nothing like I'd imagined… And then, another miracle… Yoochun's manager walked over to where we were sitting, sat down and waved Yoochun over to talk to him. Yoochun sat facing us with an inquiring expression on his face. I was too shocked for words and so I said 'OH MY GOD, IS THAT MICKY? HE'S SO TINY' (Thanks for clarifying)

And that wasn't even it, because after I said that Yoochun continued to stare at me with an uncomfortable expression on his face. We held gazes for 3-4 seconds, him standing less than 2 metres away from me. I was completely frozen the whole time, thinking back, it was a real shame that I didn't say hi to him properly. Later on, 2 more men walked in through the door, one with honey coloured hair and the other with flaming red hair. Junsu was at the front and Jaejoong trailed behind him… both of them were staring intently at their cell phones. They moved swiftly towards the escalator followed by Yoochun and his manager. The two other fans and I stayed rooted to where we were, still too shocked to react… we were the only fans in the entire lobby… 4 years as a Cassie and it took me that long to realize it was Yoochun.

Either way, my stalking mission was completed. It took me till 4 in the morning to get to sleep that night but all the tossing and turning was well worth it.

But, MIcky YooChun knew all about it, and immediately updated his Twitter with a "JunSu-ya^^", uploading a picture of Xiah JunSu who was in the midst of eating, causing people to laugh.

Netizens who have seen the photos commented with messages like "The two people who are sitting face-to-face with each other are online on Twitter now?" and others, and are obviously very happy.

Furthermore, after the recent successful conclusion of the Shanghai showcase in China, JYJ will start off with their US showcases from the 12th of November onwards, going on to New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Why JYJ Matters to Jrock

If there was one reason for Jrock fans to take JYJ’s venture into America seriously, it should be because JYJ is about to struggle with the same obstacles that Jrock bands are. Asian Americans have won acceptance as athletes, classical musicians, politicians, and writers. However, to date, nobody has managed to crack the top ten on the music charts. They have not won acceptance as pop stars.

It is definitely not because no-one has tried.

Gerry Woo once won a program called Star Search. This show served as that generations version of American Idol. He landed a recording contract and even released a music video. During a performance at the infamous Apollo Theatre in New York, he managed to outperform that night’s main musical guest. The classically antagonistic audience gave him a standing ovation. Yet, somehow, it was all short lived. Once the industry found itself a new novelty, promotions for Gerry moved towards another artist and he faded into an unfortunate obscurity.

Coco Lee is a vocalist who is also the former Ms. Chinese America. Even if you don’t remember who she is it is very doubtful that you wouldn’t remember her hit single, “Do You Want My Love.” She also recorded several tie-in tracks for movies like Disney’s Mulan or Runaway Bride, and also performed at one of Michael Jackson’s charity events. However, her success in America never rivaled that of other countries and she didn’t quite catapult herself into super-stardom.

Utada Hikaru is a superstar over in Japan and she has attempted to break ground in America several times. She did a very popular tie in with the video game Kingdom Hearts, and released two English language albums. She is bilingual because she was raised in the United States, which also means that she has less of a cultural barrier. She doesn’t really have to adjust to being in this country like another artist would because she grew up here. Somehow her American promotion has not managed to push her up towards the top of the charts.

In fact, the only super-stars in the pop industry to be of Asian descent are those who are mixed with another race that has already “made it.” Asian-nation.org notes that, “Many believe that record executives feel multiracial Asian American artists are more “culturally acceptable” or “marketable” to American consumers and therefore are more eager to promote them than mono-racial Asian American artists.” Even so, there are none who could be compared in fame to artists like Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, or Rihanna.

Does this sound familiar? It should. For years Japanese rock bands have been edging towards the United States. Loudness is nearly a household name amongst the previous generation of Metal Heads, and Dir en grey have long since cemented themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the underground scene. Several times a year, bands come to tour here and pack the house with snaking cue lines but never seem to manage to get picked up by more than a local weekly or an Asian focused media outlet. There are no Japanese metal bands being played with regularity on the big radio stations or charting in the top ten. With the exception of a few knowledgeable music fanatics, the general rock loving public may not even know that it exists.

If an Asian pop act were to be able to transcend the barriers into the American music industry it would have a trickle down effect that helps us all. If you think back to the time when artists like Jennifer Lopez and Shakira were first coming out and dominating the scene, you might also remember that this was the time frame in which other Latin origin artists experienced a huge boom. We all remember mega hits from Ricky Martin, Enrique Inglesias, and Mark Anthony.

JYJ has a lot going for them. They have done this before. It wasn’t too long ago that they crossed over towards Japan and had to work hard in order to learn a new language and integrate with a different culture as part of Tohoshinki. They dominated in Japan, while still maintaining a strong following back home. The members were able to make many ties with the top entertainers in Japan. Songstress Ayumi Hamasaki is still an avid supporter. The fan-base that JYJ brings to the table is far larger, and more powerful, than any of the artists to attempt a crossover to date.

If an artist like JYJ is able to successfully step over and navigate to the top of the charts, then it will create a huge demand for other Asian artists. Korea, Japan, and China would finally have that foot in the door to launch more pop acts into the US market. The thriving Asian American hip-hop community would likely also experience a boom, and the rock side of the music industry would start looking for its own version in order not to get left out of the trend.

Jrock fans have to become aware that the issue of helping their artists cross over is a lot more complicated than scheduling a tour or releasing a domestic album. It’s further embedded in changing the way that our country looks at an Asian artist’s ability to compete with our own as sex symbols, award winners, and massive album movers. Japanese artists have to dig themselves out of the pit of segregated geek culture and take their place alongside other minorities who have infiltrated the industry. By the way, that place should be at the top.

So how can Jrock fans help?

Support Asian artists in general and broaden your musical landscape. Not just Japanese, Korean, or Chinese. If shows are booked in your area just go to it. Its not just about supporting a singular artist but supporting the scene as a whole. Chances are you have a friend who likes pop music who wouldn’t mind going with you anyway. Pick up albums if you can afford them in addition to your Jrock purchasing habits. Share artists like JYJ with your friends who are interested in dance music. They sing in English so there’s no longer a language barrier, and you have a backup plan for friends who are curious but don’t like rock music.

If everyone helps each other out, then we can all win in the end. There may come a time when this is all so big and amazing that we are no longer interdependent based off of an artists generalized race. Until that time comes, however, we are all in it together.

'Taltoedol' JYJ, Yoo So Young, Joo Harang Become Internet Stars... Why?

T/N: Taltoedol is idol who withdraws from his/her former group.

JYJ withdrew from TVXQ, Yoo Soyoung withdrew from After School, Jo Min Ah withdrew from Jewelry, and recently Sun Mi withdrew from Wonder Girls, these people have been decorating internet search engines as if they make a comeback and become highly popular internet stars.

These stars are called ‘Taltoedol’ among netizens, even though they’re hardly seen to appear in public, yet they’ve always become hot topic around internet.

In JYJ case, the reason of them to receive a lot of attention from netizens is due to the huge thirst of JYJ fans to see their idols.
Ever since Xiah Junsu, Micky Yoochun, and Youngwoong Jaejoong withdrew from the top Halyu wave group TVXQ and formed JYJ, they have earnestly started activities for their first album ‘The Beginning’ starting last month on the 12th. However, Korean Federation of Pop Culture and Arts Industry (KFPCAI) stated negative opinion about the activities as they sent letters to local broadcasters and cable TV, advised them to refrain from doing distribution of the group’s appearances, generally disrupted all scheduled activities.

Due to this conflict and friction, not only the members are not able to appear on various music chart programs, but they’re also known to have difficulties in proceeding even official activities. Therefore for fans to actually see them is not an easy task at all. Although at least member Micky Yoochun filled the emptiness by appearing on KBS 2TV drama ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’.

The fans of missing JYJ hence try to find any issues about the members from the group’s international activities to members’ daily life all over internet, the only source available since local broadcasters hardly broadcast any news about them.

"Heart and Soul nebulae" in the Cassiopeia Constellation

How appropriate is it that the HEART AND SOUL nebulae is in the Cassiopeia constellation?
Two hearts - theirs and ours <3

NASA's Wide-Infrared Survey Explorer has captured a breathtaking image of the "Heart and Soul nebulae" located in the Cassiopeia constellation.

As the University of California's Ned Wright noted in his presentation of the image at an American Astronomical Society meeting, the nebulae are so-named because of their resemblance to a "Valentine's Day heart" (on the left-hand side of the image) and a " a surgical heart that you have in your body" (on the right-hand side).

The Possibility of TVXQ Trio's Return to Appear on Japan Live Stage?

According to EDGE STYLE magazine December issue that was printed on the 6th, the three TVXQ members Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun whose Japan activities were suddenly suspended a while ago will plan to appear once again and conduct live performance in Japan in around mid-November.

On last October 12th the three members held a showcase performance at Korea University, Seoul. The showcase became a commemorative event that marked the official formation of the three members’ unit ‘JYJ’. Moreover, the group seems to have hidden desire to target the whole world as the goal of their activities. JYJ had traveled to Thailand, Hongkong, and many other countries including several United States regions to hold their worldwide showcase as a thank you event for all fans due to the smooth flow of their first album in market.

EDGE STYLE magazine successfully interviewed a relevant official of JYJ, and the official reported, “We actually have this plan under discussion. In mid-November, the three members will re-establish their status as foreign artists in Japan, and we will conduct several performances as many as possible.” Although the live stage is still under discussion, it looks like the days to finally watch ‘JYJ’ on stage again is not so far away.

EDGE STYLE’s editor in chief Watanabe Rio through his editorial model press stated, “We got this testimony from someone who has close relationship to TVXQ.” There are also other testimonies from the members’ staffs provided in EDGE STYLE December issue, forced us to gradually believe that the event will soon come true.

Hence we have decided to step in on all costs associated with putting on the show to make sure that the events go on as planned."

All venues have been informed on setting up FAQs on how fans can receive a refund on the tickets they bought. In addition, fans who have paid for a ticket will also receive a ticket to the free showcase. The rest of the tickets will be allocated on a first come first serve basis from Ticketmaster.

Not sure why this is news because it's been quite a while... the image above is a screencap from the '3hree Voices' DVD.

JeJung Caused a Craze With a Phone Accessory

As all have known, the members of the group JYJ have been addicted to Twitter recently. JeJung who has been updating frequently had posted an entry on the 30th of October, together with a picture of his mobile phone accessory, an elephant soft toy, with the caption of 'Herd by herd the elephants ♬'. His tone shows a lot of love for the elephant accessory and is obviously very contented with it.

Right after the twitter was updated, it has caused a lot of feedback among the fans, as everyone was asking around the source of getting the accessory. It was later found in Lotte website under a shop named "Little Leaf," and the accessory was in high demand just like the shoyu bottle, the bossa nova accessories, and the Smiley T-Shirt from Giordano.

The shop which sold the elephant accessory was surprised and happy over this incident and wrote an entry on their blog:

[I never thought it would be so popular in this way.]

Hi everyone, I am the shop owner of Little Leaf - HAKO! Does anyone know JeJung from the highly popular group - TVXQ?

That all 400 accessories were sold out in 6 hours!!!!

When hearing it, its like a dream, but its actually an actual fact > <

I myself have been doing online sales for 3 years, in counting the minutes to which there would be landslide of orders to purchase a good, to be honest, this is the first time I encounter this (laughs).

This time, after contacting the manufacturers, we have decided to add more stocks.

Through this incident, I have experienced a craze that was caused by an idol star.
Also, I felt the strength of a woman's psychology, 'wanting to have the same things as someone', and just by a simple picture, the whole store has changed, and it had became a legendary history for the store, really... (laughs)
This kind of thing can also happen...
After working hard for 3 years, miracles will also appear ^^;

Group JYJ's Xiah JunSu's (whose real name is Kim JunSu) new hairstyle and airport fashion has become a hot topic.

On the 7th of November, images of Xiah JunSu and the JYJ members were captured as they appeared together at Incheon Airport. It was the first time showing the fans his shocking hairstyle, with his hair dyed red. On that day, a particular cause of attention was the color of his clothes, which was an especially good match with the color of his hair. He wore a hooded jacket which the color was matching with the color of his hair, completing the so-called 'color-blending' outfit.

Internet users all commented with messages, like "Did JunSu quarrel with the stylist?", "The 'airport JunSu' series will still continue next time even. Always~!" and others. Xiah JunSu is completely different from other artistes with their succint airport clothings and has acquired another name: 'Airport JunSu'.

Park Yoochun's "Jealous of Lee Seonjun who has many Friends" 5:1 Dreamy Interview

Even grandma fans are shocked that kindergarden children called Yoochun "Lee Seonjun!"
Park Yoochun felt new about this change. Singer Micky Yoochun is an idol, a figure for the hardcore fans, but he couldn't believe that grandma fans and children would recognize him.

"Is this the power of television dramas?" KBS "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" lead character Lee Seonjun had lived for 6 months, although it's very tiring, his heart is contented. "In TVXQ, JYJ, I'm Micky Yoochun; as an actor, I'm Park Yoochun. This feeling is great"

Due to conflicting schedules between JYJ World Tour and the filming of the drama, Park Yoochun has to organize his day, especially to continue with his overseas performances and the filming. After the filming of the drama, his body was not in good condition too. Although he's unwell, he still wanted to talk to the fans; thus Park Yoochun had joined us in Seoul's Nonhyeon-dong on the 5th.

Through "Sungkyunkwan Scandal," Kim Won-seok PD, as well as colleagues Park Minyoung, Yoo Ahin, Seo Hyorim and Kim Ha-gyoon, we get questions from them for reporter Park Yoochun to go through a 5:1 interview.

Kim Won-seok PD: When will you have time? I couldn't get through to you via phone too. Amongst Seonjun, Yongha and Crazy Horse, who can you portray best?
First, I want to apologize to the director. I didn't avoid him on purpose; I fainted on the broadcast of the last episode (2nd). As for JYJ World Tour, I had to go to America on the 7th, and planned to return to Korea within the month. When I returned to Korea, I would go visit you. As for the characters, I have the most confidence in Seonjun. To be honest, I think all are difficult to portray, but I had already done Seonjun's, but if I want to try to be the charming "Yeorim" Gu Yongha and beastly "Crazy Horse" Moon Jaeshin, I think there goes another overnight shooting.

Park Minyoung (Kim Yunhee): After living as Lee Seonjun for 6 months, which scene left the deepest impression on you?
When I had the determination to enter the school. When father (Kim Kapsoo) congratulated me, I felt like the approved entry to the school was a dream. I felt really good. Also, the scene where I told Kim Yunhee "I like you, Kim Yunhee." When we were shooting this, time was running out since there was a lot of people at the place where we shot the scene, Yongin Village. But I didn't know how to act well, and the feeling that I could digest many scenes at once was very good.

Yoo Ahin (Moon Jaeshin): When you're choosing your next work, you're pleased with the script, but what if you're unhappy with the actress? Or vice versa, the actress is good but the script isn't?
Is this a Yoo Ahin question? Ah, how could you ask this kind of question... Uhm, personally I feel that even if I don't really like the actress, but if there is a something for me to learn, I would go for it. Because I won't change my mind due to my personal emotions. Say what, a actress that I like? Like filming with an actress like Kim Taehee but the script isn't that good? (Laughs) No matter what, I still need to act in it. Using my acting to fill up the incomplete parts, the end product should be interesting.

Seo Hyorim (Ha Hyoeun): When do you feel the most tired while you're acting? To Lee Seonjun are you happy with the character?
It's the weather. When it's summer, the hotness was undescribable. During October, it was so cold that my mouth froze. When we were in Gyeongbuk filming, the temperature was -10 degrees Celsius. After the fourth episode, the script came out abit later, and we had to film it overnight. Whenever I'm free, I'll take out the script to memorize the lines. Almost died. As for Seonjun, I'm quite similar to him since both of us stick to our principles, but the difference is the way we express our thoughts. Seonjun is good. For me, other than Hyunjoong, I don't have much friends in the acting industry and am envious of Seonjun who has a lot of friends.

Kim Ha-gyoon (Teacher who teaches Yoochun acting): Although you're at your peak as a singer, but as an actor, your ability is outstanding. Have you ever thought of concentrating on acting?
I feel so honored. In May, I was learning from teacher about techniques of acting for the whole month. From how the plot started to character anaylsis, I learnt a lot. (Kim ... said that Yoochun was very serious, and he concentrated strongly, like a sponge, he could absorb things very fast) In the beginning, I didn't know what kind of person Lee Seonjun is. I was very irritated, very angry, so I studied about Lee Seonjun everyday, and without me knowing, I was Lee Seonjun. Singer Micky Yoochun will never give up, but to actor Park Yoochun, his ambition is wide.

How To Help JYJ

Since the announcement that JYJ will pay for the US showcases themselves, we have all been very concerned for the boys. There's been much talk about donating to JYJ to support them and thank them.

There is a simple solution.

Buy JYJ's album

Not only will this directly support JYJ, but it will make their album a success.

Want the press to sit up and take notice? Make 'The Beginning' a hit!
Do you want JYJ to return to the United States? This is the way to make it happen!
Are you grateful that tickets that were previously over a hundred dollars are now free? Feeling guilty that JYJ is funding their entire US tour? Buy JYJ's album!

We all want to help JYJ. This is the best way to do it!

Fan Account: JYJ Showcase in New York!

While I wish I could say I’ve literally been waiting all my life for this moment, I’ve only known about TVXQ since July of this year (*hangs head in shame*). So, I’ve been waiting for this moment since I heard about the US leg of the JYJ showcase tour.
After weeks of obsessively checking DBSKnights for ticket information (thanks, guys), I finally got my tickets (expensive though they originally were), and counted down the hours anxiously until today.
Finally, Friday came. I had to work for 8 hours, 9-5, in New Jersey where I live before I could catch the train (which I did immediately after work). I got to NYC/Hammerstein at around 6:15. I asked some security guards, who were very helpful, where I should go. Because of the events surrounding the cancellation of their performance visa and the subsequent announcement of a free show, there were around ten thousand people (10,000) waiting. Security hadn’t separated anyone, the ticket-holders from the non-ticket-holders, for about an hour. Doors were supposed to open at 7 and the show was supposed to start at 8, but the show ended up beginning around 8:30.
I’m not going to give a blow-by-blow account of the showcase. The announcers/interviewers came out to introduce JYJ, and throughout the hour-long show they were very adorable and funny. They interacted a lot with the audience and made us feel welcome at Hammerstein, a concert hall I’ve never been to. JYJ came out and performed three songs, and then the Q&A session took place. After the Q&A they performed three more songs, including their Korean song off the soundtrack for Yoochun’s drama. The show itself, their performances, and especially the audience were very, very high-energy.
Some things I noticed: One, the boys seem very, very tired, but also extremely happy to be performing. They might have been exhausted and maybe even upset over yet another controversy happening with their visa cancellation, but they absolutely performed to 110% of their abilities. I was not at all disappointed with their performance. They smiled throughout the entire thing, but took their dancing and singing very seriously.

Two, during the Q&A session, Yoochun answered most of the questions that weren’t directed at all three members individually. He speaks the best English, or at least amongst themselves they think he speaks the best English, so he answered quite a few of the questions himself, even though the female host and another man besides the male host were there to translate. Despite the fact that they are all studying English (or trying to), Junsu and Jaejoong seemed very uncomfortable when Yoochun tried to pass questions off to them. They would give one-word answers in English, and even seem uncomfortable speaking in Korean and then having the translators tell us what they said. I don’t mind at all what language they speak; it’s all beautiful, and we would have gotten to know what they said regardless. But I guess it’s just a matter of comfort.
Three, and this is the most important thing of the entire evening: the audience was out of control. I don’t mean screaming, I don’t mean crying, I don’t mean shouting and clapping and jumping up and down. That’s normal. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts in my life, and never have I ever been pushed so hard, bruised so much, and almost knocked down so many times. I’m not a tiny girl, and I had to steady myself from falling over many times. I know everyone’s excited to see the boys. I know you all want to get closer to them; I did myself. But the distance between the stage at Hammerstein and the first row of the audience was too wide for anyone to touch the boys, so I don’t know why everyone was pushing so hard. I know it’s exciting that they’re here; trust me, even though I am a new fan, I still wanted to be close, but I have to think realistically about the situation, especially everyone’s safety. There was a girl in front of me who was very tiny and I was practically holding her up and keeping her from getting crushed the entire show. When it was finished, she turned around and thanked me. I want everyone to enjoy themselves, but I also want everyone to be safe. I don’t know how the seating arrangements are at the other venues for the rest of the US tour dates, but please, don’t push. We don’t want anyone to get hurt, or to sue the venue or the boys because he or she got hurt at one of the shows.
And, in typical fangirl fashion, I absolutely could not take my eyes off Jaejoong, although Junsu and Yoochun are eye-catching enough in their own right. The boys’ smiles… I cannot tell you how much I wanted to cry and laugh at the same time, their smiles are like the most precious diamonds in the world, every one of them. They all looked amazing, maybe a little too skinny and tired, but still, as amazing as I’d hoped and imagined they would look.
All in all, I would do this day over and over again a thousand times, in a heartbeat. I hope whoever’s lucky enough to experience them in other cities has just as good a time as I did.

Micky Yoochun dishes on TVXQ, JYJ, and future ambitions

Lyricist, producer, singer, actor – I want to be good at it all.”

“This is the first time since my debut that I have felt a sense of greed. Before, the feeling of getting pulled along was much stronger… But now, I feel like I’m doing things for myself, and I want to become good at them.”

JYJ trio member Micky Yoochun (24) received his first opportunity to successfully debut in the acting scene by by being cast for the drama ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’. In a recent interview with Yeonhap News, the singer was able to reveal his thoughts about his current activities in the entertainment industry.

When asked “How far can your talents reach?”, Micky Yoochun replied, “I can do a lot of things, but there’s nothing that I really excel in. It would be good if I could try everything at once, but since that’s difficult to achieve, I want to slowly develop myself in each field, one by one. I want to excel in all four fields.”

Because the filming for ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ experienced some sudden last minute clashes with his showcase schedules for the JYJ promotions, Yoochun had no other choice but to digest his schedules at a superhuman level. The experience led him to fully understand how difficult it is to be active in both singing and acting at the same time.

“I had no other choice but to practice the showcase choreography at the historical set of ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’. Since I had no time to travel back up to Seoul, the dance team came to me and we practiced during my breaks. It was really difficult. I needed to learn the dance for a new song in just two days. That’s why I barely had confidence when I stood up on stage for the showcase. Phew.. I don’t even know how I got through with it all. If I ever have clashing schedules like that again, I don’t think I could do it. I think I really need to manage my schedules well.”

Micky Yoochun lived in America between 6th grade elementary to 2nd grade middle school before he returned to Korea to become a member of TVXQ and eventually, one of Asia’s biggest stars. Yet, as Yeonhap News revealed, “He decided to give up the name of TVXQ and began a new path with fellow members Hero Jaejoong and Xiah Junsu under a new name, JYJ.” With the new transition came an additional level of stress. Even now, the member claims that he does not feel as free as before.

“It’s better now, but before I suffered so much stress that I could barely sleep; so much stress that I couldn’t even remember when I last felt at rest. However, in the end I think this was for the better. I have absolutely no regrets with my current situation. I may still get stress and worry a lot, but right now I am happy in my state of desire for what I want to do.”

With regards to his group name ‘JYJ’, Yoochun said, “We did have thoughts of promoting with a better and awesome new name, but we didn’t feel the need to live an extravagant life and tell everyone of our new journey.”

JYJ is currently on their worldwide showcase for their new album, “The Beginning“, which contains a total of 8 tracks, including songs by Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins.

“This might sound cliche, but the album contains music that I’ve always wanted to create. During our album production, I was truly able to feel why Kanye West is a worldwide star, and thought how much effort he must put into his work when no one is watching. Meanwhile, Rodney Jerkins did not seem like an American. He definitely has an oriental mindset, and he is well aware of what he’s good at, and what his strong points are.”

The official release of their album was followed up by an official article about JYJ in the US Billboard Magazine. Although they were all advertisements that they had to pay for themselves, it is still not an easy task to achieve nevertheless.

“When I saw us in the Billboard Magazine… It was just so fascinating. It’s a magazine I always bought when I was in America, but to see us on there, and to see our picture on the homepage of their site made me really happy and warm inside.”

Micky Yoochun concluded with, “There are so many things that I still need to do, and things I want to try. I will put in all my effort with an enthusiastic and thankful mindset.”

Fan Account: JYJ Beginning Showcase in New York

Just a warning, I’m a horrible writer.

Ok, so I live in Philadelphia. That’s a 90ish minute train ride to NYC. We left at 4pm so we got there at like 5:20ish and got to the venue at 5:30ish. This is when the chaos begins.

On the block, the door of the venue is kind of more to the right corner of the block. There were four lines. On the left side of the door there was a line for people who had previously bought tickets and a line for people who hadn’t. It was the same from the right side. The lines weren’t really lines but more like giant clumps of people stuck in a baracade. These lines went to the end of the block and around the corner. I’m not sure how far it went back but I heard from others that it stretched around the block. In my spot in line I heard English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, and Arabic being spoken. Lots of people asked us who we were lining up to see and had a confused expression when we responded “JYJ, a Korean band.” A girl behind me then followed up by saying “you’ll know about them in a few years.” The doors opened at 7pm but from where I was in line we didn’t start moving until 7:30ish (yes, the line was that long).

On my side of the block there’s a little driveway for parking so the security guards would let 10 or 20 of us cross every 7 minutes or so. Once it was my turn to cross, I linked arms with my friend and it was like a stampede. At random times people in the front of the line would start screaming so everyone else would start screaming for no reason at all. The people with tickets got to enter first. I got inside the venue at about 8:15ish (I totally made up that time because I honestly wasn’t checking at this point). Once we entered there were people telling us not to run so we speed walked to the right side of the stage. I’d estimate we were about 8-10 yards away from the stage. People started filling in behind us and we were trapped.

Before the show started the light crew did a bunch of stuff to fool us. The lights above would flash, music would turn on, we’d scream then realize it wasn’t starting and continue to talk amongst ourselves. A dude said over the speakers that the show was starting in 15 minutes so that got us all hype. Once the time arrived everything went dark and the lights started shining and we were greeted with….. the two MC’s. They introduced themselves and led some crowd chants (far right would say “J” middle would say “Y” and left would say “J”). There were JYJ and TVXQ signs in the crowd. there were a shocking amount of boys there too, i'd say anywhere from 12-17 or 20% tops. The people there all seemed my age or older (15/16/17 to their 40's for parents who where there)

Once the boys came out everything just lost all order and sanity. There was a magnificent surge of force in the forward direction with another force coming from the side so everyone just kind of tumbled over towards the stage. At this point somewhere deep inside my lungs, pressure built up which resulted in a scream louder and higher pitched than I knew I could produce. After this happened a few times it felt like I was about to throw up because I was screaming so hard and getting my organs squeezed by the people all around me. At first I only saw them on the screen but the first one I saw with my own eyes was Yoochun then shortly after by Jaejoong then Junsu.

Let me just say that all clear pictures and HD video’s you take of these guys don’t do them justice. They are the three most beautiful creatures I’ve ever seen in my life it was like they weren’t even real. Jaejoong wasn’t playin around when he said he was suffering from jet lag and was sick. The makeup didn’t cover up the dark circles under his eyes. Both him and Yoochun coughed during the showcase but nothing terrible. Their voices were all spot on, especially Junsu…. wow.

On a side note, the dancers weren’t the same ones they had during the Asian leg of the tour. They were American dancers, black and white. There were I think two female dancers as well (Chun seemed to be having a little too much fun dancing with one of them lolz).

They began with “Empty” followed up with “Be the One” and then “Be My Girl.” After that was the talk portion of the show. For some reason as the MC’s were talking there was another giant surge that sent us all tumbling towards the stage. The male MC then asked, “is there an earthquake happening in the crowd right now, what was that?” Jaejoong laughed when everyone raised their hands when asked “do you follow JYJ on twitter?” the MC’s then asked us to meow because JYJ likes cats. After that they asked us to purr and the boys got an amused look on their faces. Junsu said that the thing he likes most about the members is Jae’s perfect skin and Chun’s wide forehead. When asked about what they enjoyed the most in NYC, Yoochun said he enjoyed the large amount of taxi’s, Jaejoong said he enjoyed the stage, and Junsu said he enjoyed the skyline and skyscrapers. Then asked about their hobbies, Junsu responded “drive” in English then got a proud look on his face because he spoke English. Jae said he enjoyed working out and Chun said he didn’t have any hobbies. At one point when asked about tattoo’s, Yoochun lifted up the back of his shirt just a little and the crowd died. The then put it back down and got all shy. He said that while in NYC he would be getting another tattoo, probably that very same night. Yoochun looked really surprised and happy when everyone knew about SungKyunKwan Scandal and he acted like Lee Sun Joon.

I forget the order of things but they sang “Chajatta” then “Ayyy Girl” and then closed with the empty remix. White confetti started blasting out towards the audience. My face was pretty close to the thing so I got a face full of paper.

After the show fans rushed outside but the hotel where JYJ was staying was completely guarded with security dudes so me and a bunch of other fans went to the Tick Tock Diner where the boys ate the night they arrived in NYC. I had a burger. During the show the MC’s had said that the venue was filled to the max capacity of 3400 people and that 7000 people did not make it inside. Apparently during the showcase about 3000 fans waited outside. My parents said that they saw a bunch of people crying who didn’t get in. There were a lot of press people there and they interviewed a bunch of different fans.

All in all it was pretty much the best night of my life and I’m pretty sure if I had seen all of DBSK my heart would’ve failed so it’s nice to take baby steps lolz. Among the fans I talked to there was no animosity towards HoMin, just SM. I didn’t talk to anyone who’s bias wasn’t someone from JYJ though so I was the only Changmin wifey in the immediate area of cement. My friend got selected for the MTV K recording for tomorrow afternoon so she is still in NYC so she better tell me everything! She's also staying in the same hotel as JYJ.

Soooo...... JYJ blew up new york. they produced a crowd as massive and crazy as america's top pop stars or perhaps even greater without actually ever promoting actively in the states. they can legit sing, they can legit dance, they's legit sexy, and their personalities are true to the bone.

But my body hurts now and it’s 3am so I’m gonna go to bed now!!!!!

JYJ NY Showcase - Great response from local fans, 'the Perfect JYJ'

JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) who are currently having worldwide showcase for their debut album 'The Beginning' attracted great attention from New York local fans. The scenes from showcase were revealed too.

JYJ had their first showcase ever in America at 8pm the local time in Hammerstein, New York on 12th .

The venue which can fit 3000 people was fully packed with passionate American fans. They cheered for JYJ and shouted 'Wonderful! JYJ' continuosly after the showcase.

One American fan who lives in New York said, 'I knew JYJ, their music and performances through billboard by their collaboration with Kanye West, but they only come to America today.' 'After watching JYJ showcase today, the amazing stage will remain as a part of my memories.'

There were local American fans who started to travel from the eastern part of America at 6am that day. When the showcase was about to begin, more than 7000 fans who wanted to have a look at JYJ gathered outside the venue which can only fit 3000 people. This created a spectacular scene.

A staff who is in charged of this showcase said, ' Many fans already gathered before the show started. Although there was a temporarily traffic jam, but fortunately nothing big happened till the end of the showcase.'

JYJ conveyed their thoughts of 'Feeling that all preparations in order to enter the global stage have been fullfilled. Initally we were anticipating for the outcome of Americans' reaction towards the album, now we feel happy.' after having their first showcase in New York.

JYJ IN NYC: MTV K Takes You Into JYJ’s Dressing Room And Soundcheck!

I know everyone’s anxious to see the photos that go along with the live tweeting for JYJ’s NYC Showcase! Sleep is not an option! See all the silly ramblings and blackberry photos by following MTV K on Twitter.

Are you ready for one of the cutest dressing room photo sets ever?! Let’s take a tour. You walk in and you’re greeted by…this smiling face!

When I mentioned that I was live tweeting everything , Yoochun asked to see my phone. Yoochun then spent the next few minutes reading all of your replies to the MTV K twitter account!

He asked what “trending” meant when he came across a tweet that talked about JYJ trending and (hopefully) it was made clear.

Yoochun hijacks our interview. Junsu is amused.

Yoochun: *asks question*

Junsu: *answers with silliness*

Yoochun: *facepalm*

(Cameraman: LOL)

Jaejoong loves his phone(s). He L-O-V-E-S them.

But he loves his fans much much more and granted a request to pose with aegyo.

Does anyone want a wallpaper of this? If you do, leave a comment and I’ll upload it!

Junsu patiently waits for his make-up to be finished. His hair is beautiful!

Now on to soundcheck! Remember I tweeted that Yoochun was wearing a shirt with a fur stripe?

I present evidence…

Forgetting something, Jaejoong?

That’s it for now but stay tuned! We have so much more coming your way including a full showcase review, so many photos and tons of exclusive video footage — we shot “Ayyy Girl” in it’s entirety!

JYJ Brings Down the House in New York City!

They’ve become musical gods in Korea, broken records in Japan, vacationed in Paris, and toured China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan. Their foray into the global market was launched last month with the debut album “The Beginning“, which surpassed the half million mark in pre-orders with the luxury edition easily selling out in less than a week. So it should come as no surprise that the ever-grandeur Hammerstein Ballroom was bursting at the seams tonight as JYJ took the stage in the heart of New York City, launching the JYJ World Tour, their first American showcase tour in front of 3,400 ecstatic fans.

Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu are no strangers when it comes to pleasing a crowd; after all, they’ve been on the music scene for over seven years and have been part of seven tours. And it’s definitely paid off – the turnout for JYJ’s first flesh-and-blood appearance in New York City was overwhelming. It would be an understatement to label the wait outside of the venue to simply be a “line around the block.” Imagine a crowd of human sardines that takes up ten feet of sidewalk in width, barricaded by metal fences on the verge of tipping over in certain places. Extend that image by a few avenue blocks and you get the idea. Some hardcore Cassiopeians reportedly camped out the night before (they were eventually turned away… then eventually returned around 6AM); others traveled from all over the East Coast just to see these three stars in person. And hello, after the hack job by Tinsel PR and Entitled Entertainment, the concert became free and “first come first serve” – who could pass up an opportunity like that?

Unfortunately, the venue reached its maximum capacity before the entire line was let in, so many disappointed fans were left in the cold and turned away at the entrance. Those that were lucky enough to get in began to flood the floor and balcony levels as fans scrambled to get a good view of the stage. With a vibrant pink pattern titillating on the LCD screen onstage, excited chatter mixed with a chorus of Cassiopeians singing along to the background hum of “Ayyy Girl” as the stage crew played with light and sound tests. Finally, the lights clicked on and MC Shane Yoon dramatically introduced the show, only to be humorously interrupted by fellow MC Julie Chang who got the show officially started. allkpop had previously reported that Arden Cho would be the female MC for the show, but the earlier disorganization and mess caused her to miss the New York stop, though she will apparently be at the Las Vegas and Los Angeles shows. Anyway, with no opening acts to prolong the wait, fans were immediately quenched with the live spectacle of three drippingly sexy Korean men slowly rising out of the stage floor onto elevated platforms. Cue the deafening screams of fangirls in blissful vertigo.

With the extreme levels of energy pulsating within the ballroom, “Empty” was the perfect song to kick-start the show: the boys casually walked down the steps from the platform to the slow beginning and suddenly came to life with fast-paced choreography as the percussion beat thrummed from the speakers into the crowd. A few arm pumps and mesmerizing pelvic thrusts later, the music transitioned into the fun, electro-dance beat of “Be The One“, with fanchants ringing loud and clear from beginning to end. I absolutely love the heavy, robotic dance moves that come in after the first chorus, and getting to see it live unquestionably amplified the sex factor tenfold. As the song came to an end, the fog machines at the base of the stage began to pump their goods toward the crowd, casting a complete veil over our vision. While the haze might’ve produced a cool effect for the audience, I couldn’t see anyone around me or even the stage which was less than a foot away from my eyes for the next few minutes. From what I could tell though, the young men had taken their positions with mic stands near the front of the stage. Their voices pierced the fog, so to speak, with the third song of the night, “Be My Girl“, a slow-paced track composed by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. It was nice to see both JYJ’s sexy and sensitive sides in the span of ten minutes!

With half the show already over, the MCs returned to the stage for a special Q&A session with the trio based on questions drawn from the audience before the show. Shane and Julie first began by talking about the sheer volume and power of Cassiopeians around the world. “On Twitter, you guys have been crazy. Who reads allkpop?” Shane asked and, amidst cheers, continued, “allkpop put my Twitter account on their site, and I started getting JYJ-Twitter-bombed, and it was crazy. You guys are crazy!“ After each member adorably introduced himself in a few sparse English words, the MCs got straight to the questions. JYJ has spent the past few days in the Big Apple, and it seems like they’re loving it; when asked what their favorite aspects of NYC were, Junsu admired the endless skyline of buildings, Jaejoong said he favored being on stage performing for their fans, and Yoochun was in awe of the number of taxis in the city. At one point, Yoochun recited a few lines of traditional Korean from his latest drama, “SungKyunKwan Scandal.” Another fan asked whether the members read all the tweets posted to them on Twitter. Yoochun estimated that he read around 50% of his Twitter replies, and Junsu said, “I won’t lie and say I’ve read all of them, but I really do try.”

After the break, the stools were briskly whisked away and the threesome performed a Korean song from Yoochun’s drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal” titled “Chajatta (Found)”, an optimistic track about someone finally meeting the love of his life. JYJ returned to the pop ambiance afterwards with their big Kanye West collab track “Ayyy Girl”; just as they did earlier that night, the audience sang along to the lyrics, word for word. Finally, JYJ wrapped up the night with a remixed version of “Empty”, which added a layer of electronica pop to the original track. With the members shouting at the audience to jump, it felt like the entire venue was experiencing a mini earthquake. As the song climaxed and neared its end, Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu stepped back onto the platform they started on and disappeared for a dramatic close to the night.

White confetti cannons exploded into the air and the ”Ayyy Girl” music video was broadcast on the LCD screen as if to console any members of the audience who were already experiencing JYJ withdrawal symptoms. Dazed fans filtered out of the entrance doors, with little cliques dotting the lobby as friends took final photos together and others reminisced about the highlights of the concert. Many fans also ended up lingering in the area, hoping to catch a glimpse of the trio leaving the venue for their hotel which was located just down the block.

This was my first time seeing JYJ perform live, and the trio ultimately lived up to the hype that they’ve constructed over the past seven years. One of the keys to TVXQ’s international success lay in the members’ exceptional vocal ability, and it was delightful to discover firsthand that they were just as talented live as in studio. Furthermore, the members put on a great show despite the logistical mess that has recently plagued the tour.

Later this week, JYJ’s schedule includes two more tour stops in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. For those of you that are planning to attend, you’re in for a hell of a concert!

JYJ World Tour: New York Showcase Recap + Photos

Fans began lining up for the JYJ NYC showcase as early as 6:00AM. Many fans wanted to stay overnight, but the police would not let them. By 7PM, the line had grown exponentially.

Fans with tickets were allowed in starting at 7PM. No seating rules were enforced and fans who wanted to stand ran up to the stage as fast as they could. The stage and the venue itself was a lot more intimate than TVXQ's usual stage. However, the standing area was not packed to maximum capacity and there were a few empty seats as well.

In any case, while the fans waited for the hall to be filled, the staff kept teasing the crowd with flashy lights, tricking the fans into thinking JYJ would walk onto the stage. Finally, they announced they would be starting the concert in fifteen minutes, which worked all the fans up to a frenzy.

During these fifteen minutes, the cameras zoomed in on the fans. There were many fans doing their best to get noticed, such as waving Canadian flags and their fan-signs. One fan managed to get noticed by dancing crazily when the camera zoomed up on him, prompting other fans to do the same.

At 8:30 PM, the lights shut off and fans started to chant JYJ's names. The MCs introduced the show as the "greatest show ever seen in your life" and walked onto the stage. The two MCs were Shane Yoon and Julie Chan, who did an incredible job in getting the crowd fired up and excited.

JYJ came onto the stage with the song Empty. Jaejoong was wearing a sleeveless shirt, showing us that he hasn't been slacking off even with his busy schedule. Yoochun's shirt was semi-see-through, and Junsu was the only one fully covered with a jacket. During the stage, the zipper on Micky's shirt slipped down and he hurried to cover it back up, but not before fans noticed and saw a bit more skin than he meant to show.

The follow song to Empty was Be the One. Junsu took the center stage whenever there was a dance break, proving that none of his skills were rusty. Junsu didn't forget his trademark dolphin screams, making the crowd go crazy. He ran around the stage doing lots of fanservice, such as a series of little waves.

The third song was Be My Girl. This song was introduced with a short video clip of the boys writing on glass with markers. They wrote things like "I love you", "Thank you for being there" and "Come here right now," all directed to their fans. Jaejoong and Junsu seemed to have a lot of energy, as they were jumping all around the stage. During the song, Yoochun picked one girl to sing to in the front. At the end of the song, Micky spoke his first phase of the concert - "Thank you, guys," which was enough to send fans reeling again.

After the three songs, there was a small video break. It was titled The Beginning: For The Fans and was a behind-the-scenes of the making of their album. The producers had a little shout out to JYJ praising how professional they were. After the clip, the MCs walked back on stage. We were told 7000 people could not make it into the venue, but from the looks of it, not even 7000 people were waiting in line and there was plenty of room for more people to come in. Julie Chan made little jokes, and Shane Yoon asked which member was the fans' favorite - to which, of course, the fans could not decide.

After this little interlude, the JYJ boys walked back onto the stage for questions from the fans. They were asked to introduce themselves. The members were reluctant to introduce themselves in English, but in the end Junsu went first with a "Hello. My name is Junsu Kim. Thank you." Jaejoong followed with "Um. Thank you. Hey. You guys having a great time?" And Micky followed with "So good to see you guys!" Their not-too-perfect pronunciation and hesitant English made the fans go wild yet again.

The MCs then asked the fans to meow and purr, which seemed to make the boys half amused and half uncomfortable. Even though Julie Chan was doubling as MC and translator, it seemed like Junsu and Jaejoong were more comfortable with Yoochun translating, as they would look to him for an explanation in between questions.

The first question was how they were enjoying NY and how everything is going. Micky answered, "Our first album, The Beginning, starts with you guys. It's all about you guys." The second question had to do with how Kanye West is such a prolific producer and what it felt like being with him. The boys answered in Korean this time, replying that they were burdened at first. However, since Kanye treated them so warmly, they became comfortable with him quickly. The next one asked what they enjoy doing during their free time. Junsu was extremely hesitant, probably because of his English limitations, but he answered with "Driving!" Jaejoong answered with "training," which the translator guessed to mean working out. The topic suddenly changed to fans wanting to see Yoochun's tattoo. Yoochun refused to be the only one, and dragged Jaejoong into it. The MC managed to get Yoochun to lift his shirt up to show his fans his back tattoo. Micky finally answered the question with, "I have no hobbies," but that he wants to get a tattoo in the city tonight.

The next question had to do with Yoochun's acting. He replied that he wasn't that great, but he wanted to say something for the fans as his character in Sung Kyun Kwan Scandal. He told his fans, "I missed you."

The following question was, "What do you guys like about each other?" The boys were again hesitant. The MC read that as them not liking anything, but it was probably because they could not express what they wanted to in English. Finally, Jaejoong replied that he liked Yoochun because of his English. Junsu took some time in replying and finally said that he liked Jaejoong because of his perfect skin and Yoochun because of his broad forehead.

The questions then went back to Yoochun's tattoo. The MC asked him what he wanted, perhaps a symbol of NY, and he answered "No." right away. He wanted to get something related to his family, which made the crowd coo collectively.

Shane Yoon then proceeded to take a picture with them that he would tweet so all the fans could edit themselves on top of him. You can check out his twitter at @shaneyoon.

The next question asked if the guys were all single. Of course, they answered that they were all single, and proceeded to the next question. The next question asked them what they were enjoying about New York. There was a bit of mistranslation here, and Julie Chan translated it as, "What do you guys find most amazing in New York?" Junsu understood it and answered that he liked the skyline, but Jaejoong answered that he found the stage amazing. Micky, however, answered the original question and said he liked the many taxis in the city.

They were asked what part of English they liked the most and Junsu answered that the pronunciation was the hardest part. Then they were asked if they read all the tweets sent to them on Twitter. All three said that they would be honest, saying they could not read all of them, but always tried to read as many as they could.

The song that followed the Q&A session was the only Korean song in the showcase - the Sung Kyun Kwan Scandal OST, Found You. Before the concert, OneTVXQ asked fans to turn off their red glowsticks and turn their cellphone on to make the red ocean a white one. This didn't succeed, but many fans did remember and turned their cell phones on instead of their glow sticks.

After Found You, the boys showed another video clip where they talked about dreams. The intro said, "I want to become someone's dream. I want to be a person who speaks about dreams. The three of us dreamt together." Junsu said, "My dream is standing on stage and singing. I guess I've already fulfilled my dream. I just never want this dream to end." Jaejoong's video was next and he said, "It must be the same for everyone, but when I think about music, I have a goal for it. I want to try so hard that we may die to give our fans good music. I want to give people who have other dreams hope through my music." Yoochun's video continued the clip and he said, "For me, my dream is to stand on a stage where I can be free. I'm so happy I can express this dream. I'm so happy I can stand in front of people who support us."

Junsu came back on to the clip and said, "I want to be satisfied on stage so I don't regret what I do. I think that's part of completing our dreams. I want to share our dreams." The video ended with "I want to start with you. Thank you and I love you."

The song that followed the short video was Ayy Girl, their title song. A female dancer went around gyrating with Jaejoong, then Junsu, then Yoochun, buying the jealousy of all fans that were in the hall. Junsu seemed to have the most energy on this stage, as he was bouncing from side to side and doing bits of fanservice for the crowd.

Before their last song, the JYJ boys gave a final greeting. Junsu was grateful for the loud responses and he said he was happy and thanked the fans. Jaejoong mumbled something that was completely drowned by the fans' cheers, and Micky ended it with, "I had a really great time. I'm happy I got to see you guys. Thank you for your support. Thank you very much, New York!"

The last song was the Empty remix. The whole concert ended with white confetti spraying out on everyone from the sides of the hall. Throughout the whole showcase, Yoochun didn't seem as high on energy as the other two were, but many speculated that he was tired - Jaejoong tweeted a photo of him sleeping right after the concert. However, Jaejoong and Junsu had enough energy to cover for them, as they were totally into the showcase.

The showcase ended with a screening of the Ayy Girl music video, and there was no encore stage. So if you were thinking of sticking around for an encore stage, now you know there won't be one!

We hope you enjoyed the concert as much as we do and look forward to seeing the rest of our readers at the Las Vegas and Los Angeles shows!

5thsky Project for LA JYJ Showcase

5thsky (TVXQ Mexican Fanclub) plans a project for the LA Showcase.

5thsky is attending JYJ’s concert in L.A. on November 19th and we have a little project in mind to show our support for them.

This is meant for the ones who are attending the L.A. concert:

We made a small banner with a message for JYJ.
The image displays this message in korean:

“We will always support you ♥ JYJ"

We need your support for this since there is not too much time left. We would like you to help us to pass this around to every TVXQ website or blog you know.

Here is what you need to do for this project:

1. Download the full image HERE http://www.mediafire.com/?hvx64hg1mg86roi
2. You can either print it (11×17″) or make it handmade on white fabric (11×17″)
3. Take it out on the concert when they sing their last song (until now their last song has been Empty (Remix)
4. Hold your banners up high with pride and show them your love.

It is THAT simple!

We really want to make this a big project involving all Cassies attending the L.A. concert. We believe our idea is quite simple and easy to do. Plus, it is not expensive and it can be made at home!

All we want to do is show them that we will be there for them even when hard times come. This is the perfect time to do it. The boys would really appreciate it.

Let’s make an everlasting impression on the hearts of our beloved boys!

Thank you in advance,

JYJ MTVK Secret Show Fan Account!

(I can't believe I'm coherent after this)

First of all, I got the call that I won on Friday morning. I was SHOCKED. I wasn't even in New York at the time because I couldn't go to the showcase that day so I was in Boston. I didn't think I'd be able to go because how was I going to get to New York by 1pm tomorrow?! I was so stressed, but I decided to take the bus. It was a torturous 4 and a half hour ride but it was so worth it.

I met my friend who was already in New York for the showcase and invited her as my guest. Luckily her hotel was only a few blocks away from the venue where they were recording! We walked there, and not about two blocks away, we see Jaejoong getting into the car!!! Well, it wasn't us who seen him first, it was my friends mother who was walking there with us! She shouted "Hey! It's Jaejoong!!!" and she started running towards the car. My friend and I didn't believe her at first until we seen the crowed. Then we started running towards them, but it was too late! I missed them! I only seen the back of Junsu's head as they were driving away!

But that was okay, I was going to see them all up close and personal soon~ ^.^

We finally got to the venue and by that time there was only about 16 people in front of us. I was so happy we decided to get there early. They told us to be there at one, but we didn't get let inside until a little after three, I think. But the waiting wasn't so bad. My friend and I got interviewed. We met some really great Cassies. It was so much fun! I was so proud of this group of fans. Everyone was on their best behavior. It was people like them that make me proud to be a fan!

Trust me, the rest of this account will be very relevant to your interests. x)

Once they finally let us in, the room was a lot smaller than i thought! I was wondering how they planned on getting approximately one hundred people in this little room and I was nervous for the boys for when they came out! It was that cramped! But luckily my friend and I were right near the edge, so when they came down the stairs they would be right in front of us! It was another while once we were inside for the boys to come out, but it was okay. The atmosphere was great and you could feel the excitement in the air.

The funniest thing happened while all of us were waiting though. Be My Girl started to play and everyone thought it was the cue for the boys to come down so there was a collective gasp and everyone at turned to the staircase at the exact same time! It was a false alarm, but still. It was so synchronized the way it happened that it almost looked rehearsed! XD Cassies are truly amazing~

But soon, it was time for the boys to descend. There was nothing separating us from the three of them when they came through but no one crowded around them or tried to grab them. We all just cheered happily as the boys walked by us. I was so proud. But wow, I can't even begin to describe how gorgeous they are in person!

The three of them took their seats on the stools at the front of the club and we all moved to see better. Once again I was lucky enough to be right near the front! The boys were only about 8 feet away! It was so surreal! It was my first time ever seeing them in person and they looked so beautiful. They looked like dolls! Yoochun was so handsome in person! Jaejoong looked just as beautiful as he does in pictures and Junsu... wow. Seeing him in person was the most surreal. He's so cute!!!

And boy was there a lot of Jaechun! As the crew was setting the camera's up and getting ready to prepare, Jaejoong and Yoochun were quietly whispering and smiling to each other. I couldn't believe I was witnessing such cuteness with my own eyes! Jaejoong's eyes were litterally sparkling in the light as he talked and smiled with Yoochun. He even did his little laugh where he covered his mouth with his hand! I almost died. I couldn't keep my eyes off of him. I couldn't help but think "Wow, how could anyone not fall in love with that?" And he's not even my ultimate bias! lol

But soon the recording started and the first song they sang was Be My Girl. Jaejoong and Yoochun didn't really look at the audience, but I couldn't blame them. We were all so close and it was a very intimate setting so they were probably a bit shy. They either closed their eyes while they were singing or looking in the corner. It was really sweet, actually. But Junsu on the other hand-- just, wow. He was not shy about looking into the crowed. He was constantly making eye contact with the audience. He certainly knows how to entertain! He even looked at me! I swear my heart skipped a beat because he looked at me and kept eye contact for a good three seconds. I thought I was dreaming! What made it even more amazing was the fact that he was singing the "baby, baby, baby," part! Ahhh, what a great man he is. But the time the performance was over, my heart was pounding.

They sang it again for recording purposes and this time is seemed like Yoochun and Jaejoong were getting more comfortable and looking into the crowed. After they sang the song again the boys were sitting quietly for the crew to prepare to the next part again. Poor Yoochun was coughing and then my friends mom shouted "Bless you" from the back of the room, causing the crowed to giggle. Yoochun smiled and said "Thank you" in that sexy voice of his and I almost squealed, but I tried to restrain myself. >.<

The girl to the right of me suddenly screamed "Yunjae!" and I almost died! I didn't even want to look at them! XD But I looked up at the last moment and saw Jaejoong smile and turn away. It was so cute! The girl was worried though because she didn't see his expression, but those who saw reassured her that they all smiled. Such a helpful group of fans.

There was another moment when Junsu was drinking from a water bottle and Jaejoong reached over to take a sip and the crowed went "Ooohh~" XD And I'm not sure who it was, but I think it was Yoochun who teased us and went "Ooohh~" too! xD It was so funny!

The next song they sang was Empty and I was so excited because that was my favorite song from the album! And I must say, Yoochun sounded absolutely amazing in that song despite the fact that he was sick. His voice was absolutely perfect. During this song, I also made eye contact with Junsu again! He was singing the hook "Love won't make you cry or ask why / Oh why" but it was only for a quick moment. >.<

After they sang that though there was another small break in between. During this time I also made brief eye contact with Jaejoong and Yoochun! Oh my, their eye's are almost haunting in a way. *sighs dreamily* They sang the song again and it was great because they all looked so into it this time! Junsu was smiling so cutely in the beginning when the song started that I actually cooed! Jaejoong and Yoochun were swaying along to the music and you could just tell they all enjoy that song. At one point Junsu hit this amazing note, and swear everyone in the entire venue felt shivers.

When that song ended they started to discuss who was going to do the introduction. Of course it would be Yoochun! So first he said "We are JYJ and this is Empty." a;sdlkf;asdkfj;asldk his voice. I swear, it just oozes sex. They made him do it a couple more times and each time was more sexy than the last! Then he had to introduce Be My Girl. He had to redo it like 6 or so times because he kept messing up! One attempt went something like this; "We're JYJ and this the song-- whhhaaaa! Yeah, wait. No. Pfftt" Oh my god, it was the cutest thing I've ever heard. I almost died! XD Once he finally did it correctly the crowed cheered for him and he got so embarrassed! He covered his face with his hands and shook his shoulders cutely. Needless to say, the crowed went CRAZY. He just laughed. And oh, have I mentioned his smile? It's beautiful. *-*<3

But sadly this was the end. The staff told us to push back so the boys could go back upstairs. But when the three came though, they actually shook some of our hands! Yoochun came by first and I managed to shake his hand! His fingers are so long and pretty. Then Junsu came by, but I couldn't touch him because people started to crowed me and grab his arm, (which I felt was kind of rude, but I couldn't blame them. lol) but then I managed to get Jaejoong's hand! And boy, let me tell you his hands are rough! For having such a pretty face, he sure has masculine feeling hands! XD

But all in all, it was an amazing experience. I'm still kind of in shock that I was actually that close to them! Thinking back on it now makes me so sad it's over! The three of them are so great even if they are missing two important pieces. I'll support them always because they deserve the best. Also, one of the camera men told us that JYJ's CD was sold out all over New York! Not one copy was left. Isn't that amazing?

Girls' Generation to appear in court for slave contracts and testify in DBSK lawsuit

Girls' Generation is set to appear in court to attest to the truth behind the slave contract accusations. They were scheduled to appear in November, but because SM Entertainment has requested time to organize papers, the court date has been pushed back to December.

These slave contracts first became a big issue when DBSK's Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun broke away from SM Entertainment because of their contract. Since then, many idols contracts have been looked into.

The interesting thing is that Girls' Generation will not be arguing over their contract - they will be testifying against DBSK. SM Entertainment is being taken court by Cassiopeia, who required the court to look after DBSK's contract because of unfair payment in proportion to the amount of work they do. SM Entertainment has yet to decide if all nine members will appear or if a part of the group will represent that.

Because Girls' Generation is currently one of the top idols, many think this court judging will affect how entertainment contracts are looked at. However, many also think that this is unfair, as whatever the Girls' Generation members attest to during court will be controlled by SM Entertainment.

An official explained, "When many companies make contracts with possible celebrities, they make a contract for 7 years of trainee time and at least 3 years after debut, which means the contract will last for at least 10 years. However, it is judged that a contract time of over 10 years has a problem. Girls' Generation's testimony will either confirm or change this way of thinking."

SNSD will not be testifying against slave trade contracts

There have been many reports claiming that girl group SNSD would be standing before the Fair Trade Commission in court in regards to the SM Entertainment slave contract allegations to testify against JYJ. SM Entertainment has since revealed that these rumors have been groundless.

Representatives of SME spoke with Star News on the morning of November 15th and stated, “Reports of SNSD testifying to slave contracts next month are completely unfounded. We have never heard of anything like that, and nothing is confirmed as well.”

Representatives of the Fair Trade Commission have also denied the reports, stating, “SNSD will not be making an appearance. It is not something for us to decide anyway, as t is up to their agency, SME.”

The rebuttal came after a flurry of media reports earlier today claiming that SNSD will be appearing in the courts to testify against the slave contract accusations.

Contradictory articles state that Girls' Generation will not be testifying in court. However, more than one online Korean news site has published articles confirming they will be. Both the original article and the new article quote SM Entertainment and an official, so as of now no one knows who's telling the truth.

Could this just be SM Entertainment attempting to calm the inevitable problems between fans if SNSD testifies against DBSK? It looks like we'll have to wait until December to see.

Fan Account: JYJ in NY!

This is my first fanaccount so forgive me if it’s confusing or too long winded. I’m going to try to write as much as I can remember! There was a lot of things going on! Ok let’s start!
My two friends and I left Florida at 5am for NY! This is our journey~
My friends and I arrived in NY around 1030am. We flew in at JFK airport in Jamaica, NY which is like an hour from Manhattan so we had to ride the subway to get to our hotel. Our check-in time was 3pm. Once we finally arrived in NY we looked at a map to see exactly where we were and realized that JYJ’s hotel [The New Yorker] was literally RIGHT ABOVE us. So I ran up the stairs and lo and behold there was their hotel looking me in right in the face.

There were about 30 fans waiting outside already; the time was around 12. I was so excited that I could have a chance to see JYJ ALREADY and I hadn’t even been in NY for more than 2 hours! I immediately got out my brand new camera that I bought specifically for this showcase and waited… and waited..and waited…. Their limo was outside and we were all hopeful they would appear but nothing happend.. All their managers were walking around talking and stuff.. It was really suspicious.. like something was definitely going to happen..but nothing did! I ended up talking to a lot of fans waiting outside! You guys were all so nice^^ Some fans had seen Jaejoong coming back to the hotel that morning and got a video and signatures. Lucky fans! My friends went to go check into the hotel cuz it was already around 2:30 I stayed behind at the hotel hoping to get a glimpse of my favorite JJ ^^ [[Jaejoong-bias]] While we were all waiting inside we talked and stuff and then that famous Jaejoong tweet about the fans being outside the hotel happened lol I got it on my cell phone and I replied to it telling him there were only like 18 of us and that it wasn’t scary. Guess he didn’t read it tho lol We waited for about another 40 min before we got shooed out by one of the hotel people. Since we were guests at the hotel we couldn’t loiter inside D< id="fullpost">
Friday, my friends and I wanted to go check out the hotel but there weren’t any fans infront.. We assumed maybe they had already left but it turns out they never really left their hotel o.O Guess the large amount of fans overwhelmed them. Bet they were expecting to be safe lol So, we were worrying about the ticket situation because I got the news about the showcase being free on thursday but we had left out tickets back in Florida by accident. I had my laptop which I saved the tickets on but we couldnt print them because they were in .pdf format ><>

Man was that wait line TERRIBLE. There were already tons of people but as the hours went on it got BIGGER and BIGGER and BIGGER. The security people just kept walking up and down the line telling us to squeeze together even more. We all already couldnt move!!! The only way we survived was talking to other nice fans in near us. Everyone was soo cool, funny and awesome! After being packed together like slaves on a boat the security told us the line would FINALLY start moving. We were told the doors would open at 6:30 but it wasn’t until almost 7:30 that the line started moving really. As the line would move EVERYONE would rush forward in an ambush trying to get a better spot in line. It was SO dangerous. We were all being pushed by the HUGE cluster of people behind us. And the security were threatening to shut down everything if we kept pushing and ambushing. Honestly, there were WAAY more of us than them and we could have rushed the door if we wanted to. The security were WAAAY understaffed, they were also pretty rude to us fans. They treated us like cattle honestly.

FINALLY the line was separated into people with tickets [[or proof of purchase]]and those without tickets. People with tickets had to hold up the paper in their hands and we were let through. BUT for those who had receipts how would they have known how many tickets it was for??? THEY DIDN’T so once you got to the door the staff didnt even care. They would just let ANYONE with a piece of paper in. As I walked up to the entrance I held up my receipt expecting to have to explain my situation and he literally said to me “I don’t even know what that means just go in!” My two friends behind me only had one sheet because I bought their 2 tickets at the same time and they just let them in without evne looking at the paper. It was insane! Everyone was just running in trying to get close to the stage. Once everyone was in they stopped letting fans in but they definitely exceed capacity because there absolutely NO room to move or even breathe once that concert started. They were sitll testing the lights when we got in and even the smallest flicker of light made the fans shriek like something was going to happen. The camera people panned across the audience showing the fans and it was amazing the divserity of people there. There were people of all ages, races, ethnicities, nationalities!

The Red Ocean

People from other contienents came! There were even families who came togther! And the ratio of male to female was nearly equal! I will never forget at that guy up the balcony dancing xD And the guy with the “JYJ” light up thing on his iphone and of course those enthusiastic frat looking ups up in the front of the crowd xD Finally the hosts Julie Chang and Shane Yoo came out! They talked a lil and did some stupid comedy then and finally JYJ appeared! Unforunately I have no pics or vids of the showcase of my own because I dropped my camera a couple hours before D: But I do have some vids my friend took…

Ayyy Girl
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gwooppot9k&feature=player_embedded

They. Looked. So. Amazing!!! I was so in shock because they looked EXACTLY like any and every picture, video, gif I’ve EVER seen of them. Every little detail was EXACTLY the same!! They didn’t look real!! They started singing Empty and the crowed rushed up to the front trying to get closer to the stage. Their singing was dancing was FLAWLESS.During the entire concert it was SO crowded that people we trying to leave because they couldnt breathe. I was being pushed around and elbowed and cursed out by the people around me and I also was pushed closer to the stage throughout the showcase. Eventually I was about 3 feet from the people in the very front I had a VERY clear view of Junsu!!! There was even a part where he came to my side and I was screaming his name and he looked at me and he smiled at me!!! I could really see Junsu and Jaejoong more than Yoochun. Junsu’s hair looked SO awesome xD For most of the showcase tho I couldnt see any of the dancing because there were SOOOOO many cameras. It really seemed like most people came to record rather than to enjoy the music and the boys. So many of the hands in the air didn’t have light sticks just cameras. It was really upseting. People were pushing and shoving me out of the way just to get a better view to record. I was actually trying to dance a little and have fun! I was screaming the hardest I could. I lost my voice lol The was a part where Junsu came to my side and he started dancing all sexy OMG it was soooooo hot/awesome xD
During the Q&A I kept yelling out random things in response to what they weere saying xD Quite honestly I was being VERY obnoxious lol The way they hesitated at each question was really funny to me. When the hosts took the picture with JYJ I screamed out “JEJOONG THE BACK OF YO HEAD IS RIDICULOUS!” xD I wonder if he heard me. While they were performing I was trying so hard ot make eye contact with them. In the end I think I did with all the three but JJ and YC seemed to be avoiding looking directly at the audience. I can understand..the audience was VERY unruly.. They were probably afraid of the barricades being knocked down and getting mobbed. The audience kept swaying and pushing back and forth like an earthquake. It was crazy.
Once they performed the Empty remix and made their exit the MV for Ayy girl started playing. Ive already seen it tons of times so I just left. And I knew that the video was used as a distraction so they could exit safely. I went outside and there was a cameraguy from Allkpop who interviewed me about the concert. I don’t know if they used it or not but it was fun . Also I got to scream with a bunch of fans at the cameraguy from MTVK.
All in all the showcase was great!! Even though the management was extremely disorganized and the staff were incompetent and rude but we all had fun and it looked like none of the fans got here and we all got to see JYJ ^^ Afterwards there were 2 white Hummerzines [[Hummer Limos]] outside their hotel and it looked like the dancers got in one and my friends and I assumed JYJ got in the other, but we’re not sure. The thing is tho..about an hour or so later my friend and iwere walking around Times Square and as were crossing the road we saw one of the Hummersines waiting at the light. I totally think it was JYJ.

Ironically while we were crossing some guy walked up to me and told me I had a beautiful forehead and that I should be a forehead model xDDD I totally thought of Micky when he said this lol and the Hummerzine was right in front of us lol Just thought this was funny.
Well that was all for my JYJ/NY experience, I’m sorry it was so long but I really wanted to say a lot because this was a lot of first experiences for me. JYJ was amazing and I will DEFINITELY go see them again!!

JYJ Showcase in New York Draws 6,400 Fans

Trio JYJ held their successful album showcase in New York City on Nov. 12 (Nov. 13 in the Philippines) despite encountering visa problems that nearly cancelled the event.

New York was the K-pop boy band’s first stop in the US to promote their first English album, “The Beginning.”

JYJ performed songs in the album to a crowd of 3,400 people that filled The Hammerstein at Manhattan Center. Unfortunately, about 3,000 more fans were unable to get in as the venue was already full.

“There were 3,000 fans who failed to come inside but waited for us outside. I sincerely thank you for your great love,” JYJ member Xiah Junsu posted on his Twitter account.

Junsu, Micky Yoochun and Youngwoong Jaejoong worked the crowd as they sang “Ayyy Girl,” “Empty,” “Be the One” and “Be My Girl,” and danced to the screams of US fans who were eagerly waiting to see them in the US.

Some fans even lined up and waited for 10 to 15 hours for a chance to see JYJ perform.

On her Facebook account, JYJ fan Bari Kantor from Israel said she waited for 14 hours but that "it was totally worth it.”

“This is a once in a lifetime chance I could not let go of! Finally, my dream came true!” according to her Facebook note.

“Love the showcase! The boys were full of energy and so are the Cassies standing on the floor,” wrote a fan with the username Yeezer on Soompi.com.

The New York leg became a free concert when the trio decided to go on with the show despite failing to get their P1 visas that would have allowed them earn proceeds from the show through ticket sales.

The trio, nevertheless, thanked the fans for their overwhelming support.

“My sorrow turned to happiness today. Thank you,” JYJ member Junsu posted on his Twitter account.

Jaejoong tweeted, “To the 6,000 fans inside and outside the venue today, I'm very thankful to you all.”

MTV K also covered the JYJ showcase. After the event, the boys were whisked to another location where they taped MTV K’s “secret show” together with 50 lucky fans.

After New York, JYJ will hold their showcase in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

JYJ World Tour: Las Vegas Showcase Recap + Photos

The second stop of the JYJ concert in Las Vegas kicked off at around 8:30 p.m. It took place at the Planet Hollywood Theatre of the Arts and was hosted by MCs Arden Cho and Shane Yoon. With a turnout of over 5,000 attendees, many fans, both young and old, came from as far as Europe and Asia just to see the trio perform in Las Vegas. Many of the Cassies awaited eagerly as the sea of red glowsticks waved and chanted to bring the members out.

JYJ first got the crowd going as they arose from the stage and opened with Empty. Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu moved effortlessly with their dancers and put on a stellar performance.

The next song, Be The One, kept the atmosphere going up as the lights and stage moved with every beat of the song. After the second song, a short video intermission displayed on the screen showing the members writing messages of appreciation to the fans on a mirror.

JYJ's slow ballad, Be My Girl, awed the fangirls as everyone waved their glowstick, hand, or cell phone. Soft purple lights covered the stage, creating a luminous and peaceful effect.

The fans were then treated to another video of members during rehearsal and production in LA during the summer in preparation for the tour and closed with the quote, “This is a very special project to us.”

After Be My Girl, JYJ was brought back onto the stage for a brief Q&A session with questions collected from Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube:

The interview below is merely a summary and not a complete transcription.

Question: How has the tour been? How has America been treating you?
Yoochun: Since so many of the fans have been cheering us on, we’ve been having a great time.

Question: Are you guys going to make a music video for Empty?
Yoochun: Of course, yeah. Probably next month we’re going to tape it in the U.S.

Question: Can we get an idea of what the video will be like?
Yoochun: That’s top secret. Actually, that’s a second secret. (His answer drew laughter from the audience as they wondered how many secrets Yoochun has.)

Question: Do you have plans for another tour since so many fans seem to be interested?
Junsu: Hopefully we’ll plan a Europe tour, nothing is set in stone yet. But if there’s enough fan response, we’ll definitely set something up.

Question: What did you do last night in Vegas?
Jaejoong: We, uhhh, actually went to a club with the staff *laughs*
Yoochun: Yeah, we were “practicing” for tonight… (This caused fans to laugh because both members answered the question differently.)

Question: A lot of fans give you guys gifts, what’s the most memorable gift a fan has given you?
Junsu: We get so many gifts, but the ones that stand out the most to me are the drawings.
Jaejoong: Underwear…thongs… (Fans squealed at his response.)
Yoochun: Special gifts like…the fan’s love… (The fans said 'aww' in agreement.)

As JYJ wanted to also sing a Korean song, they incorporated Found You from Yoochun’s Sungkyungwan Scandal OST. The fans also waved along as JYJ’s sultry voices filled the auditorium.

The stage suddenly changed with their title track, Ayyy Girl. Afterwards, JYJ thanked the fans with “We appreciate your support and love. We want to meet you guys more!” which caused the fans to explode with joy and excitement.

The last song had the crowd jumping as red and white streamers exploded from the stage and white confetti fired into the air. Their Empty remix definitely was a great note to end the showcase. Fans screamed for an encore as the three members exited the stage. Then the music video for Ayyy Girl played on the big screen as the last part to the show. Finally, the MCs Arden and Shane walked out to close out the concert.

For those who missed our recap of the showcase on Friday, check out the JYJ World Tour: New York Showcase Recap & Photos article!

Unfortunately, we did not have our photographers for the Las Vegas event. So, to make up for this, we've included some bonus photos that we have not released before from the New York Showcase!

Note: We will have our photographers attending the Los Angeles Showcase!

Cassiopeia - The Journey Never Ends

This turned out quite different from the original only because I wanted to convey the full meaning as opposed to simply giving a literal translation.

These are the sentiments of international fans. You might not ever see this but don't ever forget that we're here.

December 26th. That night the five of you stepped on stage for the first time, you took our breath away with the presence of the Rising Gods of the East.

Barely 18, yet astonishingly graceful.

And from then on we knew. We knew you'd conquer the world with your beautiful red ocean.

He's that boy who fills your heart with an overwhelming warmth. That boy with the face of an angel and a strange air of mystery.

Behind that cold exterior, there's a heart burning with passion. He'll cover his mouth when he's chuckling, yet at the same time, he's not afraid to throw his head back and laugh like there's no tomorrow. Sometimes he can look distant, but more often than not, he's like ray of sunshine on a cold winter day. He's that ray of sunshine who'll warm you up from within, from within the very depths of your soul.

Jaejoong is the boy who'll try his very best to smile for us because we know what he's been through. We know how much he suffered and we realize that it's the reason he's become the person he is.

14 years old. Leaving home, traveling to Seoul alone and working to support himself. It was an endless struggle to put himself through school whilst holding on to his dream to become a singer, an artist.

16 years old. Finally in SM as a trainee after taking part in a competition. From your everyday teenager to a true artist with one of the most beautiful voices.

18 years old. Dong Bang Shin Ki debuts. Pressure like he's never know before. Slightly less popular than the 4 other members and caught up in a drink-driving case. The fear of being removed from the group haunting him incessantly.

But he didn't give up, he moved us with his talent and his sincerity. Thousands of fans gathered to voice their oath - Only five, forever five.

Jaejoong remained, Dong Bang Shin Ki survived unscathed.

In 2006, he found himself stuck in a custody battle. More pressure, more injuries, more suffering. He's endured more than one could ever imagine and he's proven time and time that nothing can get in his way of living his dream.

Thank Jaejoong, thank you for everything you've done for us.

The most skilled dancer with a permanent expression of determination and strength fixed on his face, our leader, Jung Yunho. The core of Dong Bang Shin Ki.

He keeps us all transfixed with his hard hitting dance moves and his irresistible charisma. In every move, he exudes an unbearably strong sense of power and stage presence.

Off stage, in what we would know as normality, he could be the same as the rest of us. Despite the persona he adopts on stage, he is, after all, only human.

He's the leader who'll put both hands in the centre to make up for Yoochun's absence. He's the boy who never forgets anybody, who always remembers that Dong Bang Shin Ki consists of 5.

He's always the first to wake up in the morning and the last to get to bed. Even if it means only one hour of sleep, he'll take on the responsibility to wake up every other member in the morning and to make sure they're all fast asleep at night. Despite the exhaustion, there has never been a single word of complaint.

Yunho is the boy who'll request to have his canines removed just so that they wont' get in the way of singing. He's willing to withstand that degree of pain for us, Cassiopeia. He is the boy who'll bear with a searing stomach ache just so that he won't get in the way of filming. And it wasn't just filming either, because he remained after to thank and bow to every member of staff. Every single one of them. 18 times, the fans counted.

When he was poisoned by an anti-fan, fragile and weak as he was, he appeared before us and said 'Dong Bang Shin Ki has antis because we have our weaknesses. Please don't send her to the police, don't blame it a young high school student for her maturity because I have a sister just like her.' At that moment, I was certain there were others around me shedding tears the same way I was, not just out of sadness, but pride, too. Yunho is the leader we can can all be proud of, for his kind, forgiving heart. Some say he seems fake, but for me, there wasn't a moment of doubt in my mind as I watched him plead forgiveness on behalf of the girl who poisoned him through pale, cracked lips.

Yunho, you are God's gift to Cassiopeia. You are our miracle. Don't ever forget that.

Yoochun, our adorable prince with the dazzling smile. He allows for the coexistence of sunshine and rain. He forced himself to grow up for his brother, Yoohwan. He's kind and affectionate towards his fans, and he makes us cry rivers with his piano solos.

He is one in a million, there are no words that could possibly do this boy justice for the person he is.

Yoochun, he ignites flames in our hearts and pains us to the core with his tears.

1998, he moved to the US with his family. To the country where dreams were meant to come true. They didn't. He was broken and left with some of the most painful memories of his life.

The separation of his parents left him vulnerable, that's why he cries the way he does. He cries when he and his brothers walk on stage to accept awards. He cries so hard, his nose runs and he has to stop talking to pull himself together. And yes, he cries when he talks about his brother and when he's sick in hospital and the members don't visit. He doesn't just cry, he cries his heart out.

And even though there's a certain charm in the strong and manly Yunho, Yoochun stole our hearts with his adorable personality, with the way he's unafraid to show who he is to the world. We love Yoochun because we want to protect him. Those tears, they flow in our blood.

Of course, it's not just the tears, his smiles are equally infectious. His smile is brighter than the Californian sun and his heart of gold shines in ways rivaled by no other.

Remember those smiles and tears Yoochun because we'll always hold them dear to our hearts.

Junsu, our angel. He's like a breath of fresh air. He has the most infectious voice, husky, yet powerful. Every syllable that comes out of his lips burns a hole right through your soul. He's like an angel. You fall for him without knowing it and you fall hard.

With a voice like that, it's hard to imagine how he could possibly have had any problems as a trainee in SM. But no, when his voice broke, it broke for a full 3 years. For an aspiring singer, those 3 years must have been an abyss of darkness and misery. So close to living his dream yet so far away all of a sudden. Can you imagine how he must've felt? His teenage years were a nightmare, he was lost, but he found his way. He survived. 7 years as a trainee and at last he was selected to become a member of Dong Bang Shin Ki and so began his journey to become one of the greatest vocalists of present day.

Junsu, our angel, cute and innocent yet unbelievably determined and strong willed. He passed God's test of perseverance, and as time goes on, his name will remain forever etched in our hearts.

Remember who you were and who you are now. You've got a long way ahead of you.

Maknae Changmin. He transformed from everybody's baby into the fine man he is today in what feels like the blink of an eye.

Despite being snarky and a bully to his brothers, we all know they love each other to death. We all know how much leader sshi values his opinion and his presence.

Almost always put in charge of the high notes and what some see to be 'screaming'. So often he's completely overshadowed by his hyungs, but let's face it, nobody belts those high notes the way Min does. His voice is like no other, Changmin is unique.

He used to be the cutest member of the group, but when Junsu stole the position, he became Changmin the cool, sarcastic maknae. And even though it may seem as though he's less popular than the other members, he has never, ever uttered a word of complaint.

As he stood on stage and watched his pale-faced Jaejoong hyung suffer, he told the world 'The gift I want most this year is for Jaejoong hyung to recover as soon as possible'

He loves Jaejoong, Yunho, Junsu and Yoochun in ways we could never imagine. His love for Dong Bang Shin Ki is whole hearted and unconditional. This is the maknae who said 'If Dong Bang Shin Ki ceases to exist, I'll go back to being a normal high school student.'

Honest, serious and sometimes irritatingly straightforward. Changmin has grown into a real man. He's not just Dong Bang Shin Ki's Choikang Changmin, he's Cassiopeia's Changmin.

Remember that one performance? There were technological difficulties with the sound system and perhaps it was the nerves, but Changmin didn't hear when the staff yelled 'Start again!'. As his 4 hyungs filed off stage, he stood alone in the spotlight, his head bowed, ready for the opening of the song. Even as Cassiopeia screamed at him to make him look up, he kept his head down and held still until someone finally dragged him off stage. The adorable look of embarrassment on his face… I could never forget that.

It was him, it was Changmin who counted all ten triangles in 2 seconds on a variety show.
It was him, it was Changmin whose journal exposed to the world his obsessive love for food.
It was him, it was Changmin who gave us the world's most beautiful name - Cassiopeia.

Constantly overshadowed yet always a source of Cassiopeia's pride. Remember that name, Choikang Changmin. Dong Bang Shin Ki's maknae.

A group of people joined by fate and a shared belief. Cassiopeia, we exist for these 5 Rising Gods of the East. The two are interdependent, together we are legendary.

Korea, Japan, China, the UK, the US, Canada, Egypt, Spain, France - the list is endless. We broke the world record. We came together as one despite our many differences. We embody the spirit of equality, faith and unity. Our love for these boys has broken down all other barriers. We are a family and we live for one another.

Cassiopeia is like a guiding light in a storm of darkness. We're like the flickering flame on a cold windy night. We're like the stars in the sky, seemingly small and insignificant, yet beautiful all the same. We're about protecting our boys, we're about acceptance and toleration. These 5 stars, they shine eternally in the dark of the sky.

Cassiopeia is about strength, we are a force to be reckoned with. We are everything and more because of Dong Bang Shin Ki.

Regardless of the controversy and negativity constantly haunting us, we will always remain united as one. The only thing that could break us is the knowledge of the boys suffering, but even then, we'll be by their side, smiling, cheering them on and awaiting their return. The journey never ends.
