I have an addiction. I can not stop playing online poker. I am in a game at this very second. Does that count?

In most countries internet addiction (or addiction to any online activity) is not considered a disorder yet, but I think Japan and some parts of Europe do think of it as a disorder. It depends on where you live I guess.

Addiction in general, when it goes to an extent of obstructing normal functioning of the individual, is a disorder though. Or if you do it in a ritual fashion due to disturbing, uncontrollable thoughts it might be Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. You need to say a little bit more before I can play at being a psychologist and give you a diagnosis.

Oh I do have OCD. I have to wash my hands like every 5 minutes, and when someone touches my face I drink water, and spit it out. I do all sorts of things like that which I admit make no sense, but I feel like I have to do them. I was diagnosed with OCD, but its not really that bad. I like to think of it as something that makes me seem weird.

I see. Yup, classic case of OCD. I was thinking about in relation to your addiction but yeah. I wonder if OCD is co-morbid with addictive disorders though. Don't remember off-hand since it was something I took a year ago.

I had depression for about 4 months and it sucked considering that it's my last year in school and i had to study hard, which i didnt and it made things worse.. I got over it with a help of a psychologist, not drugs, but i'm afraid that it will happen again since my self confidence is pretty low and I cannot easily plan my future... these two can cause depression easily...

Anxiety Disorder and Manic Depressive. yaaay. okie no. the anti-depressants were no fun...maybe in the beginning i was okay, no suicidal thoughts,no self-inflicting pain, it was all 'la la la' for a bit, then i started feeling empty, neutral...so i stopped them on my own accord...which made things worse for a while...but i am seriously trying my best to control myself, without the help of doctors or meds...i regret stopping the meds sometimes, but then again i stopped the pain killers and the sleeping pills too. sigh. i don't like listening to doctors anymore.one ting gets better while something else goes wrong. c'est la vie. but it was mostly a few close friends that pulled me through a;; these years...i seriously wish everyone the best on here...it's hard...and everyone has there own issues and problems to deal with in their own way. so i have to hand it to you for not giving up. with or without medication. kudos!

cheers!

All I can say about psychological disorders is that I'm sick as hell of all these attention whoring teenagers on the internet/their myspace/their livejournal/whatever else being all like DERR HERR I HAVE ASPERGERS AND IM AUTISTIC AND IM BIPOLAR AND I HAV CLINICAL DEPRESSION AND DYSLEXIA AND ________<-- add about 6 other conditions there.
No you fucking don't, you're just an attention seeking 16 year old, now get off the internet.
ALSO. Just because you have ONE OR TWO annoying habits, doesn't mean you have OCD you goddamn retards.

I have diagnosed borderline Aspergers, and undiagnosed OCPD and a mild form of Bipolar Disorder. I'm not just saying that for attention. I am equally annoyed that people are too quick to diagnose themselves with whatever the latest thing is. I also know people with alcohol addiction, Asperger's, ADHD, OCPD, and depression.

I think that society is able to accept people with these disorders, but it's also generally unwilling to. The human species in general has problems acknowledging its flaws.

Also, if you're including trichtillomania, you may as well include dermatillomania.

I suffer from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar disorder, and Anexiety disorder.
Unfortunatly I only found one medication to help me after trying several, and its 300 mg of wellbutrin, and as for certain stages of my bipolar I came to control my actions. I had to start meditating for the anexiety disorder since I hated the medication. Paxel and zanax just made me sick. Then as for the Obsessive compulsive disorder I just organize everything when the time comes.

Society doesn't too much find me a bother.

That's very interesting. Do you think you're subconsciously associating the sickness with the movie? Or do you think that the vampire in the movie stressed you out so much that you physically made yourself sick?

Could you describe this particular vampire? And what is it that makes you fear this vampire?
