I think every book in existence is better then the twilight series.

My thoughts exactly

I did just finish reading The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and it was reaally cool. And Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke. I just started reading The Wizard Heir by Cinda Williams Chima too and its a sequel to The Warrior Heir which was simply amazing.

Harry Potter series
Isn't that good, but at least the storyline is interesting, everything is explained and fits into place(unlike *cough*Twilight*cough*), and the movies aren't made of fail.
Jodi Picoult books
Writing style rocks, story lines are interesting, tear-jerkers. Amazing.
Darren Shan saga, Cirque Du Freak
Vocabulary and words/phrases used are not favorable, but the storyline, the way vampires are portrayed. It's all so different and unique. Made me cry hella lot of times, which says something. My favorite series.
The Vampire Lestat
Lestat > Edward. Enough said.
Cornelia Funke books
Personal favorites are The Thief Lord, and Inkdeath.
Amazing. Wonderful plot, and a writing style to remember.

I think these books deserve much more recognition than Twilight.

Okay, so maybe there's a sexy-minus-all-the-abusive-and-over protectiveness vampire. But the rest just screams epic fail.

Amanda Marrone Is Really Good. Plus She Totally Dissed Twilight (BTW, One Of Her Books Is About Vampires In A Sense, And The Other One Mention Them). Look:

"I roll my eyes as I walk past a popular vamp book sitting on an end cap. I tried to read it once, but couldn't get past the whole romantic, misunderstood vamp shtick. And there's just something totally creepy about a thousand-year old vamp seducing a high school freshman --- talk about extreme jailbait."

It's actually a fanfiction that is way better than Twilight and the vampires kick ass. Although it is a bit dark:
