One of the first Asian artists to actually make it BIG in America.(Utada Hikaru)

Here's the thing, I never got why people said Utada Hikaru failed to enter the American Market, if anything she succeed better than most, and although there has been one other asian artist who has had an actual #1 on the Billboards main chart, Hikaru is one of few Asian artist to make a #1 hit.

Her first debut all English-album sold around 7,000,when it was released in September of 2004, than 1 month later on October it had sold an estimated 30,000. Also, In Japan it had sold 1,074,000,by it's 12th week on release, with first week sales making it be the best-English language album in Japan.

Not to mention her single Devil Inside became a #1 Hit song in US Billboard Hot Dance/Club Airplay, and another one did as well*Just don't remember which one*

Anyways, with this why do people think she failed miserably? If anything she did really well, and especially since we have to remember the fact that she was literally rarely promoted.

*Remember to buy her 2nd all English-album coming out this year in the winter,or next year*
