Now I know all types of Engineering are useful, but which in your opinion is the most useful.

List types of engineering you know, give us a few facts to help understand what its about and say how you think this will help.

I'll start.

Clinical Engineering.
X-rays, non-harmful scans, medical equipment.

This is a useful engineering type as it saves lives.

Structural Engineering
Will the building crumble and fall? They try to keep it up.

We take buildings for granted now days, when its their job to keep them standing, also fire regulations I think.

Structural Engineer may lead the design of hospital building which the clinical engineers will work in:)
People complete each other, I think the 2 fields are useful.

The focus should be on:
How much you love your specialization?,

The world needs the perfect workers in any field, those who're enjoying their jobs.

When u like what u do, all difficulties u may face will just increase ur determination and advance ur performance.

so: Love what u do to do what u love.

I prefer to be architect!

*not dead yet (computer problems fixed.. so I return to thread)*

I understand that many forms of engineering do link together and that is the whole point I think, but I guess I didn't really word myself clear before so I'll rephrase what I'm trying to ask.

List different types of engineering
This is so I can broaden my ideas of what other types of engineering are out there and what I can actually look at.

Me personally, I'm doing general engineering. At some point I'll have to branch out to some field and I wanted ideas and to see what other fields there are.

Here's some more from me. (I know some tie in with others, but despite that.. there is a role given for each of them)

Mechanical Engineering - Pipes, machinery in factories, maintenance..

Tribology - Understanding of oil, lubricants and extraction?
