there's different ways to write for everybody

write when you feel like writing

NEVER force yourself to write something you don't want to, unless it has a due date stamped on it

it doesn't matter if other people don't like it

as long as you like it it's okay

write about anything and everything

write what you want

it doesn't matter if the first few tries aren't as good as you want

keep trying

you'll improve

but my advice is...

if you had a FANTASTIC idea

but when you wrote it down it didn't sound as good as it did in your mind

take a break

drink some lemonade

eat some oreos

wait until you're ready to write again

do NOT write about the same thing

write about something else

something else you have confident in

if it sounds good

take a break, then write about the first topic

if it sounds bad

oh well

take a break, try again tomorrow morning

or tomorrow night

or the day after tomorrow's morning

or next week

or next month

it doesn't matter

if you give yourself time to let the scene flow inside your head until every single color and movement and sound is EXACTLY the same since the last time you saw it...

the writing will come out better
