Do you read fanfiction?

I just want to know if how many people read fanfiction and if you do they why do you read them.

Personally I love to read fanfics, the fandoms that I read from are Naruto, Saiyuki, Death Note and a few Final Fantasy fanfics. I read fanfiction because they are really addicting to read, and they give me my fix for those animes that have finished, like Death Note. It's interesting to see how different people explain stuff, like L's way of sitting or why he never wears shoes
