yeah, but u can easily cancel it online anytime in like 5 seconds with like 2 mouse clicks. the free trial starts immediately when u get it.

i dont get it, if its a free trial why would you even have to give your credit card? its like if someone forgets they will get stuck and have to pay the full membership? I kinda feel like its scamming people?

If someone is clearly informed of the conditions before taking the free trial (as Shinji has done), the possibility of the free trial holder forgetting what they signed up for isn't Shinji's fault at all. Labeling this gift to the community as a form of scamming just because that person forgot to cancel the trial - would be really unfair to Shinji.

The whole idea of the verification process is meant to prevent abuse....you know...making sure you "don't bite the hand that feeds you". =)

If there wasnt the varification, using credit card (or whatever) then it would be easy to take advantage of it and just create new accounts every time the free trail runs out and add it to the new account... creating a loop hole in the payment
