uh yes - it is kind of important. how did you learn to read and write this post?
school! and if you want a good paying job.. you sorta need post secondary
to get some degree of something. maybe it's cause i'm asian and my
parents told me that without school i'd be living like that hobo in
the streets or serving my friend's working at macdicks or something.

i personally didn't graduate highschool I was all fuck school. I don't have a job but I probably make a lot more money than some people that have went to college and highschool.
i sell marijuana to a lot of people. I make about $350 a day soemtimes up to . I am an honest person I am not harming anyone. I have doctors. lawyers, etc coming to me. The rest of my time goes to training in martial arts.

now thats what im talking about school is for fools.selling drugs and becoming an assassin is where the real money is. and if the police stop by, kick thier ass with that martial art and they will leave u alone. the perfect major right there peace over war

80% of what we learn in school, we don't use it in our later life.

But gaining more knowledge is better. i think? >.>

Education is super important (I love learning), but it is not a guarantee of a successful career.

My thoughts exactly. The current economic recession targets both educated and uneducated alike. Education is the medium for gaining more knowledge and mustn't be pursued by those who find it nominal and unproductive.

yes. education is very important.
otherwise you're going to sound like an ignorant fool.

however, i don't completely agree with the education system... too much stress, and in my opinion, grades are stupid and pointless.

education is a need, not a want
we have a right to get it, and for good reason

"The beginning of knowledge is the discovery of something we do not understand" - Frank Herbert

"Knowledge is like a garden; if it is not cultivated, it cannot be harvested" - African Proverb

"Knowledge is Power" - Sir Francis Bacon

knowing useless things is better than knowing nothing at all

knowledge = education
put it together yourself

Not unless you want to be 30 and working at Mcdonalds ^^

I basically left school at 16 and i regret it till this day, the only options i have left is become a slave for minimum wage in a shit job i dont want or the Military (infantry)

Im gonna go with the military...i prefer to die with honour fighting than living on my knees with my head bowed in shame waiting for scraps to fall down from the rich peoples table

Fuck'em,i wish them the best of luck, because when the next riots are gonna break out were gonna dust off the Guillotine and chop some heads off !

when the right time comes, you will know the answer to your own question, just follow what they say (study for now, particularly) then you will discover things for yourself

there r no such things as inferior martial arts. Fighting depends on the individuals. And foreign and commercialized arts always tend to fail in compirsons to their native and private counter parts. like Americanized muy thai vs thai land muy thai. And Korean combative taekwondo vs american sport taekwondo. and Bruce Lee JKD vs utter crap called jeet kune do. Same arts, just big difference in how they train. peace over war

but there is a clear distinction between education and school. We all need education. like how to eat, walk, fight, work a job, morals, ect.

but do we all need school? which doesnt teach any practicle knowlege applcable to today's world? peace over war

well, in school, we learn all these useless things.. we also learn how apply ourselves
we need to be taught different circumstances, and how to handle them..
with school, kids are taught many useless things, that may or may not be applicable in the future
but we can also generate a way of thinking in school..
i know this teacher who is very pessimistic in my opinion.. he looks at current events and he tells and shows us what is not televised in the media... so he's making us think outside the box, and taught me to read between the lines, .. And by learning these things, we can succeed even further in the future.. There are people who don't go to school, and well that sorta shows that they are lazy, or they cannot take responsibility.. and what motivation would one have to get an education if they don't go to school? what resources would be available to him/her?
in school, there are so many resources available... and if everyone goes to school, we are giving everyone equal opportunity to do something great with their lives.. now if a person does not choose to take advantage of these resources, that is their choice

and u say that education is something we need, but school not so much?
well where are we gonna get education? from tv, parents?
where did the people in tv, and ur parents get their education?
where did ur grandparents, ur community workers get their education?
they went to school..
If a kid doesn't go to school, now, and he learns only what he has to get by.. what is he gonna teach his/her kids?
if a person was a carpenter.. all they know is about carpentry, and walking, eating, fighting, morals, etc.. and the child of that person wants to become a marine biologist... the carpenter parent is of no help there, and the child has learned from the parent, that school is not important.. so his dreams, are out of reach.. the child has not even been given the opportunity to try and grasp his goal.

Yes, Education is important. Civilaztion progresses because of education. You're livelihood is dependant upon your education. Whether you struggle through life or have it relatively easy is depenndant on your education.
