Aya was starting to get annoyed to all the stares she was getting the whole morning. She could actually conclude that she really was getting tired of it.

She always put into thought that recess would just be in a few more minutes after Algebra. Sadly, recess went worse than Algebra or English. Recess equals more guys hanging around you asking your e-mail, or maybe out for lunch. Girls, on the other hand, all wanted to be her friends. She was actually happy with the warm welcome everybody gave her but it was all too overwhelming to take in one day.

“Give it a rest guys,” called out Kari, “I think Aya’s had enough of you for the moment. Plus we’d have her til we graduate junior high. Am I right Aya-chan?”

“Yeah. Thanks so much for the really warm welcome. I really do appreciate it and I’m pretty much happy that everyone’s my friend, but Kari-chan has a point. Let’s talk again during lunch ne?”


Yuto, on the other hand, was already used to all the attention, the spotlight always on him. He had it ever since he was a kid, being noticed out from the crowd was nothing unusual to him. Not that he hated it. It was sort of tiring at times. He always thought that, that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were getting more of this that they treated the paparazzi as a close friend. ‘So paparazzi, I’m not scared of you.’

He was friendly to everyone of course. Not that he was being superficial he was really close with all of his classmates and schoolmates at that. Sometimes, there’re times that, like Shayne Gray, one would think that they’d only want to meet Nakajima-kun from Hey! Say! JUMP and not Nakajima Yuto. It was hard to decipher who’d be your true friends considering all the outside gossip and fan girls being all malicious if they’d see him talk to a girl and make a big fuss out of it. He was also scared at the fact that the fan girls would attack the girl he was talking to. No, he didn’t want that, he wanted everyone to be his friend. He never wanted to choose his friends, no he didn’t want to become snob, he doesn’t like that.

Situations like these were really hard I should say. He really wanted to know the new student.

‘Maybe I could just talk to her for a few minutes. No harm done She really seems nice. She’s already talked to everyone in class aside from myself.’

For Nakajima Yuto, there was no such term as embarrassment. He wasn’t that overconfident too. The entertainment biz brought him up like that.


Aya was extremely relaxed now. The tension around her seemed to lessen. She was okay again.

“Anou. My name’s Nakajima Yuto. I’d also be your classmate for the whole year. It’s nice to meet you.”

“The pleasure is mine,” Aya replied, already bowing her head “I’m Nakashima Aya. It’s really a pleasure meeting you.”

She just heard someone chuckle lightly in front of her.

“Gomen, gomen. Not that I’m being rude or anything but don’t worry it’s alright. I just went by to say ‘hi’. I think we’d be good friends.” Yuto chuckled.

Aya stared at him as if there was a huge pimple on his nose that suddenly poofed itself there.

“Ehh?! What’s with that look? Do I have something on my face?”

“No. It’s just that I never expected you to be so shallow. I thought guys like you were kinda snob.”

“I guess I just proved you wrong then, huh?” he chuckled lightly again.

Aya was sort of weirded out but she didn’t know why. Maybe it was the uber enthusiastic arua that the boy she just met emitted. She was not the type of person that labeled other people too. But maybe from all the dramas and animes that she watched the bishounens were always the ones who were really cold and stone-like.

“I guess so,” she smiled lightly “I hope that we really do become good friends.”

“Un! So, I’m sorry to have interrupted you. I really am. Don’t worry next time please do tell me if you really are tired from hearing all the chatter ‘cause I think you’d be getting that through out the whole school year from everyone. Just remember to enjoy your stay here then.”

Homeroom was up next. Election of officers was up.

Aya was voted for their class representative. She was quite surprised the fact that she was just knew but everyone put her trust on her already.

“I shall be doing my best for everyone! I won’t make promises since I don’t really know what’s ahead of me. So shall we start the nominations for class secretary?”

Finally, the class was able to choose their new set of officers for the year.

Nakashima Aya – Class Representative
Renji Kyo – Class Secretary
Yamashita Lyn – Class Treasurer
Nakajima Yuto – Public Relations Officer


This was a new, fresh start and Aya was loving everything at the moment. She loved her new found friends, classmates, and basically everything.

‘I guess moving to somewhere different isn’t all that bad,.’ Aya smiled to herself ‘I know that everything’s gonna work out just fine.’
