I've only have seen the red rings twice. The 1st was my older bros xbox, one of the 1st just after the launch but he never really went online much. He had it refurbished under the warranty and then there's my little bro, he had the rings too. Thankfully he got that fixed within the day.

I've had xbox for over 5 years, 3 models in that time and not a single ring. I thin it's just luck.

I still not sure what each ring means.

Never. I removed the X-clamps on my xbox which prevents the problem from happening.

I had my white XBOX 360 for just about 4 years. It did not get the red ring of death...but the equally poisonous E74 error code. Instead of shelling out $120 to ship it Microsoft wait 2 weeks to get it fixed, and possibly a month to get it back, I pooled together as many gift cards as i could and paid $80 out of pocket for a band new XBOX Slim.

Still on my first console, although it was one of the newer models. The 60gb pro bundle from '09, still alive and kicking!

I've played my xbox 360 for 3 years I believe and have never experienced anything relatively close to the red ring.

My old one red ringed twice, so I dropped that one and got an elite. I haven't parted with my elite in three years :'D

Well One as its the same console. Microsoft went out of their way to repair it past warranty though. Not even mad.

My first Xbox red ringed within days of it's purchase, so did my second. my third lasted for a year before it's first red ring, but since I kept using the overheat trick, I managed to squeeze out about 3 more months out of that system.
My fourth one is a X360 S, Which I've had for a year and a half strong.

I'm on my 5th Xbox since 2007... They all died for different reasons. I've dealt with X-clamp issues, motherboard failure, and one was DOA out of the box! I currently have a slim that's made it through its first year! *knocks on wood* Here's to hoping everyone here has better luck than I've had!

Well lets see technicly i only had one die on me with a Red ring of Deeeeaaath!!
But that one was already damaged before i ever got it. You see, some asshole returned it to wal-mart after beating his pregnant girlfriend to death with it,(How was i supposed to know the xbox was supposed to run better than this?) and i happened to be the lucky Sob to buy this half dead, glitchy machina. It was my first xbox and i payed 350$ to 400$ for a [potential] murder weapon. many years down the road it finally choked on its own Driver, and when i called to see if warranty still covered it, It! was already registered to #GhettoSmuck93. and in my disdain i contacted Wal-mart about their Blunder, who promptly stated they have changed their return policy for the 360 systems, and they were thus immune by the grace of [god] from replacing and or compensating me for the faulty, bloodstained, piece of shit they sold me. (To my suprise there was ALOT of dried blood/coffee under the face plate) I eventually saved up enough money to buy the "Final fantasy XIII special edition and [overpriced] Xbox" only to find that a week later Microsoft released the new xbox 360 slim at a much [cheaper] pricetag

So basicly if you dont count the murder weapon, i never have had a RROD xbox Ever!
I appreciate your time reading my story.
With love, Avarice <3
