I guess you could say the reason is "because respect has to start with someone." Males make up the majority of leaders in this world and along with power comes responsibility -- for instance, the responsibility to set a good example. Not that I'm letting women off the hook. If you want to be treated like a lady you have to act (and dress) like one -- this is where individual responsibility comes into play, the Golden Rule, etc.

Anyways where did the gentlemen go? From what I have observed a lot of women on t.v. are unpolite, bad girl barbies that don't deserve gentlemen and are attracted to the tool (Men observe this). Also where have all the ladies gone? It is just society in general that has become less well mannered though. Everything is going down hill personality wise. EX: The humor of America ranges from Jackass to Family Guy, which is pathetic in my opinion. I hope you and your girl friends can find a gentleman, but the chances are slim to none in today's society. -J
