Im guessing being a gentlemen just doesn't quite fit in with the world we live in today. Like I bet if a Gentleman wearing Gentlemen-like attire walked into a mall......he would get a bunch of stares thinking hes a weirdo.
As for the personality well......Im almost positive that the amount of....*Grace*...and *Goodwill* has been lowered a lot so being a Gentlemen to anyone wouldnt make them be just as nice to you.

Well in all seriousness, I think its just the current culture that we live in, most people would view someone being "gentlemanly" to a girl around his age would mean that he has a crush on her. |

A very small handful still around among the younger generation, but because of the psychonut mainstream media and hollywood influcing our society into their backwards sick image, guys are told to act like "playas","pimps", whatever in order to be "relevant" to them. A guy who is nice that shows class and respect and REAL personality is considered "irrelevant" to them.
It's because of all this that I no longer chase females and has since given up wanting a female in my life. Yeah I still show respect and all, but I'm always looking over my shoulder to see if a few jackass psychonuts will laugh at me, or if the female will think of me as a creepy perverted bastard.

I was a gentlemen at one time. I dated this one woman and she always asked me why I am being so nice to her. She ended up dumping me a little later down the road because she didn't deserve my kindness. I have branched on from that point and do as I see fit. I am not a gentleman but I am still a nice guy most of the time. I try to follow my own path and if anyone wants to date me then that is cool. If they don't it is there loss. I got better things to do than to worry about being someone I am not just to please someone. They either take me as a whole or leave. You know what is funny she ended up going to some other guy and he treated her like crap. Well I guess she knows better know. It is true women want to date assholes. I found out from a women why. She told me because they want the challenge of changing them. They want to make them to whatever they want them to be. They don't want gentlemen because they don't want to ruin a good thing so therefore a gentleman goes lonely through his life. I don't think it makes sense but that is how it goes.
