I'm a gentleman, however, it gets thrown in my face. Girls tell me I care to much when I ask of their problems and try to help them, then I stop doing that and they say I don't care enough x.x I'll stay a gentleman, cause there are still a few females who appreciate it, however, those females have boyfriends or husbands who are total jerks who treat them like property, why they wont leave them is still beyond me.

Vast majority of women would choose the asshole over the gentleman any day of the week. I bet most the time they dont even realize the other one is there. Most the time being an ass will get you laid over being nice. I would think the blame lays on the females but its not like that in every part of the world. Its the culture we've had created for us by past generations and helped create ourselves.

Quite a number of so-called 'gentlemen' do nothing but complain about women,.A lot aren't as nice as they believe themselves to be.
But yes I'd prefer someone whos considerate than a total asshole,arrogance and boys acting like dick-heads piss me off.

I agree completely with you! I have spent most of my life trying to live up to my own standards of being a gentleman and it seems that all my effort has been for naught. Where are all the ladies any more? I don't see any reason to be a gentleman if girls aren't going to be ladies... *sigh* You know what... screw it, I don't care anymore, I'm going to be a gentleman whether or not there are ladies in this world just to prove that there are gentleman left. To all other men out there, join me in my cause to change this sorry world into a more gentle and kind place for everyone, be a gentleman!

I second that, I'm gonna remain who I am, because changing with the world just is not who I am. I've been, and will always be, a gentleman even if it ends up being the reason I remain alone. Cause I'd rather be alone and a gentleman then be with a girl that I had to change who I was just to be with her.

Women lowered their standards for partners , thus thinking with their Vagina.

SIMPLE.
Though there are still a very small majority of Women out their with decent standards and Gentlemen of course.

First of all, what are today's standards for actually being a gentleman? Is chivalry really just about courting a lady into your bed? This is just my opinion and my opinion alone, but during the middle ages, gentlemen and ladies clung to the idea of chivalry because they had given roles in society. It was a common norm. Today however, people are able to express their sexuality without being shunned by society. Ideals change, people change, which means our view on what is "unladylike and ungentlemanly" change mostly due to pop-culture. To put it simply, this topic is trying to take a 600+ year old idea of a man to the present. Being a gentleman in today's culture is considered "awkward" and only gives unwanted stares and alienation from the rest of society.

Gentlemen in our generation are gay people. Majority of gentlemen are in fact gay people and thats going to have to be a accepted. There are few decent guys out there but as you can figure they arent very good looking which is a big deal with women nowadays. In my personal experience i've seen many women make retarded choices and when confronted about it they continue to make them. Women today only think about getting drunk and having sex imo. Men are at fault most because all they think about is bigger breast and having sex which forces women who think they're in love to make horrible choices which end up getting blown back in their face. So really my point is that what women want in gentlemen is just not possible because of there high standards they set out for men.
