DramaQueenRF has got me thinking: we should have a topic to udpate news about Chocolat, and what the status is on possible, further releases. So, here it is. ^_^ I will try to keep my eyes peeled for information, and if anyone of you guys has found some dirt on Chocolat, post a link to the article below!

We fangirls of Yo-I .... err, or DDL, XD .... must find out the truth! XD Okay, I'm done being melodramatic. XD

Well I said I would repost it here and now i have, this is a post i did a month or so ago so I don't know if there are any developments
We may have some bad news. I was looking throught the web for info on the series and I found a site, can't remember which one but I'll look, that said that Chocolat had been discontinued in Korea for quite a while now. So I went to the publishers Yen Press and on their Chocolat page they had no info on any plans for a volume 8. It appears tha JiSang Shin and Geo have been working on a new series called Very! Very! Sweet! and from the looks of the publishing dates for this series on Yen Press they may have no intention of coninuting Chocolat.

I've been doing some digging to see if volume 8 even exists, apparently it was printed by Ice Kunion in December 25, 2007. But Ice Kunion went bust, but luckily Yen Press toke over all (as far as I know) Ice Kunion's series and Chocolat was reprinted under Yen. But there has been no word on their front as to v. 8. Now from what I can gather 8 went out of print very soo after release, but there should be a few copies floating around! If there are the people who have them are keeping them close to their chests as I can't even find the cover art! I will do some more digging and keep you updated!

Update! I have been able to get my hands on a few scans from volume 8. They are in Korean and I can't translate them, but if someone would be so kind as to tell me how (as I am still new and don't know how) to put pictures in posts. If not I'll upload them into my pictures on my profile and you can look at them there, I'll tell you when I do.

I have posted my scans of volume 8 (sorry I only have 51 and they're in Korean) and can be found at
If you want the file I have on my computer (for what ever reason) tell me and we can work something out.

Also NEWS!
Wikipedia has said this on its Chocolay page,

This was recently published on YenPress's website, leaving fans with hope for more issues to come:

"Don’t worry, the boys of Yo-I haven’t broken up, but the band is on a brief hiatus. As soon as we hear word of their big comeback, we will let you know!"

I have checked it out and YenPress has indeed said that, this could be promising news!

(I think I deserve a medal for all the info I find out *wink*)

Update: Its been awhile but the thought just struck me that Yen Press is releasing the final volume of JiSang Shin and Geo's other work Very! Very! Sweet! this month, so it is entirely possible that with this out of the way they may get back to Chocolat. Fingers crossed!

Yen Press have announced on their website that the final three volumes of Chocolat will be released in an omnibus this December!
From what I can tell it appears the series was resumed very suddenly last year in April and soon after finished. The three volumes released will be 8-10 and I am so happy! I've waited years for this to happen and it finally is! Now all that's left to worry about is how everything ends
