(The reasons for everything in the ratings are explained in the review section at the end of the article)

* Visuals: At best: mediocre - okayish
* Music: Can get a bit annoying
* Plot: Executed about as well as the eggs my sister tried making this morning... The fire alarm went off...
* Overall rating:2/10(I think this rating is being generous)

* Genre: Comedy/Romance

* Company: Studio Barcelona/Geneon Entertainment

* Format: 12 episodes

* Dates: 4 Jul 2008 – 26 Sep 2008

*Synopsis: Nogizaka Haruka is like her school’s princess. She’s beautiful, rich, academically and musically gifted, and idolized by her fellow students. Ayase Yuuto, on the other hand, is fairly normal, not terribly popular, and has a close friend, Nobunaga Asakura who’s an open (and raging) otaku. However, one day Yuuto finds out that Haruka has a secret and that she too has a fascination with Akiba culture. Haruka is mortified by what would happen if this ever gets out, but Yuuto promises that he’ll protect her secret.

While watching this anime I probably had an expression sort of like this one on my face

"Nogizaka haruka no himitsu" basically means "Haruka's secret"... Nogizaka can have any secret she wants... But I wont make it a secret how repulsive I think this anime is...

This anime is shallow, predictable, and basically an insult to human intelligence... Insult to human intelligence is actually overestimating this piece of junk... A more appropriate phrase would be to state this anime is even an insult to a plankton's intelligence... Forget that... A bricks intelligence.

The story line is extremely cliche... But don't get me wrong... An anime can be cliche and still be entertaining enough to be worth watching... But the fact everything in this anime has been done a thousand times is not the worst part... It's that everything in this anime has been done a thousand times, and everyone of those one thousand times it was done one thousand times better.

The characters are extremely unoriginal and typical... Not to mention they are developed to about the extentent of a fetus... And the side characters are utterly insulting... They are nothing but obnoxious, lifeless, plot devices.

The music is cheesy J-Pop, which after a few episodes can get quite agrivating... And the visuals are nothing special.

"Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu" is suppossed to be a romantic comedy... But the romance is transparent/typical and the comedy, (Although contains a couple of funny moments), is, on the most part, stale and lacking any sense of wit. Basically, there isn't really anything that marvelous about "Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu." I mean, I would say an anime is worth watching if atleast it's entertaining and descent enough that you wouldn't rather be banging your head with a toaster than watching it. But the only reason I would recommend anyone to watch "Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu" Is to appreciate life and realize that, no matter how tough life gets, it could be worse... You could be strapped to a chair being forced to watch this junk.
