I'M NOT SAYING THIS TO BE MEAN, but I've never seen that to be true, every time I see Japanese anime being a lower prices.
Any links to back you claim?

You know what, I did some research and WHOLLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We basically stealing it compared to their prices!!!!!!!!
But I'm seeing that they get a lot more extras I see. This darker thank black vol. 8 I'm looking at gives you poster and I think 3 character figure things.
I'm never complaining about anime prices here again.

Japanese anime dvds are around $50-60+ USD for a 2 episodes disc depending on the current currency. Goods in Japan are very expensive than in the U.S. so people should stop complaining about the cost of anime dvds licensed in the States.

Wow. Really drove a point there.
I didn't know the sheer number of anime that doesn't makes it to the states. That would make fansubs make a lot more sense.
The laws in the US and UK are something I didn't think about when it came to editing, don't know why but I never thought about that.

Yes, catching things that fall through the cracks is the main reason I follow fansubs. If I didn't I would have missed out on about 30 of my favorite series, movies, or OVAs that still remain unlicensed. I'd snap those up on DVD too if somebody released them. I seriously can't believe things like REC, Denoh Coil, Kurenai, Higurashi no Naku Koroni Kai, and Real Drive aren't licensed.

Back to the topic, Funimation has been earning tons of Cool Points from me recently for licensing a whole bunch of formerly unlicensed stuff I liked which only added to my high opinion of them.

Just because they're more expensive some where else doesn't mitigate the fact that they're still expensive here.
