Lately ive been more into Asian drama than american tv xD
i feel like the amercian tv programs add too much 'sex' and explicit scenes just to drag in more viewers
and in the Korean and Japanese drama's (that ive watched) do not.
The story is fine without all the sex and drug scenes
so what do you think?
Is there one you prefer the most?
Any difference's you take notice?
P.S. I guess it doesn't have to be soap's just shows in general

Dramas= Mini soap operas with better quality.

They actually have writers that listen to their fans!

I love my american soap operas (hardcore fan, literally) but the quality of them has gone down drastically these past 10 years because of the incompetent people put in charge of them. They aren't what they use to be. It's evident in the recycled storylines, ridiculous rewrites, senseless killings, contrived couples, character favoritism, bad casting decisions, senseless firings, etc. TPTB stopped respecting the fans and started insulting them a long time ago.

And as for prime time shows...I don't watch them. I like shows that have an obvious beginning and end. (or ones that don't end at all) You never know when a prime time show is going to get canceled and because of that I don't like getting invested in them. I always feel like I'm wasting my time.

I don't really like to watch the daytime soaps, but I love some of the prime time shows. It really upsets me when they get canceled out of the blue. ABC is especially notorious for having 1 or 2 season only shows, and no decent ending. I really miss Pushing Daisies.

As for drama, well I'm still new to them. I find I love K-drama more than the other types. The J-dramas don't seem to be nearly so intense and intriguing. I can't get into Chinese drama because of the language. It's a tad too foreign for me. I like dramas set in current rather than the historical dramas.
