The time machine saves or ends lives?Post Reply
Right now on Stein's Gate it is episode 22, where Kurisu and Okabe say their goodbyes and she stitches up his jacket that he doesn't get to keep anyway bah bah.
(ugh this is gonna be long)
My Question is. John Titor the part-time Warrior Suzuha the girl with the braids used a time machine to go back in time to the year 2010 from the year 2036 to see her father in that time as well as save the world from Sern. What shocked me was that, John Titor was alive in 2010, and died in 2010. I know the reason she died in 2010 was because she had time traveled back to the year 1975 and forgot who she was, what her purpose was and then lived till she died in 2010. Suzuha did change the world line a little bit, but she also lived a very long time. I'm rounding about 50 years to 60 years of life. She also time traveled back into the same world line since the divergence point wasn't reached.
Ok now that we have that in. Mayurii is in the same world line. She died a billion times when Okabe went back in time in the same world line to save her because Mayurii was "fated by the world to die" at that specific moment in time within that world line.
Because it was the same World Line
Was John Titor going to die in 2080-2090 and live out her 50-60 years of life after 2036 if she had not gone back in time? Or did John Titor escape an early death by Sern by traveling back in time? What if Mayurii time traveled with John Titor back 8 years? Would Mayurii still have died 2 days after from some random cause? Also, there was an instance where John Titor and Moeka had guns pointed to eachothers heads, if Okabe did not use the Time Leap at that time, would John Titor die 50-60 years early? because Moeka was fated to die at a later date(technically so was John Titors)
so many questions lol
I forgets I can post from crunchyrolls:D baha
[[SPOILER ALERT]] IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN EPISODE 22, DON'T READ THIS POST [[SPOILER ALERT]]
Can't answer your questions, I'm afraid, but I can add more to the list.
Watching the last bit of episode 22, it becomes clear that Okabe haven't crossed the divergence barrier yet, since the counter still says something around 1.2 or something, which means undoing his first d-mail was not enough. I'm thinking that finding the trigger that allows Okabe to travel beyond the actual divergence barrier/point, might allow for both Kurisu and Mayurii to live.
Undoing the first d-mail will lead to Suzuha making a successful landing on top of the building and later to the death of Kurisu. Trying to anticipate coming events; Suzuha said that Kurisu became the leader of SERN (if I remember correctly), so I'm thinking she might want to kill Kurisu before she ever comes into contact with SERN. In the first episode we see someone waving to Okabe on the roof, a person who looks like Suzuha, and Suzuha called Okabe in ep 22, telling him to meet her on the roof. Shortly thereafter we hear a scream from a person who sounds a lot like Okabe, if it isn't in fact coming from him. This is where it gets confusing to me, because so far, nothing has suggested that a person would be able to appear twice in the same time-line, using time-travel, since he doesn't physically travel between time-lines, he moves his consciousness from one line to another. Who kills Kurisu?? Is it Okabe for some, as of yet, unknown reason? Is it Suzuha? Or is it someone else entirely?
When did the first change happen? When was the first time they moved between world-lines? Did they ever move between lines? Have they ever been beyond the divergence point? If not, how would Okabe be able to move to it? Try everything untill something works?
So many many questions x_X
Yes, in fact a lot of questions. I'm not certain of the answers I'm going to give-of course- but i have a few theories.
Was John Titor going to die in 2080-2090 and live out her 50-60 years of life after 2036 if she had not gone back in time? Or did John Titor escape an early death by Sern by traveling back in time?
I think she escaped an early death because in her original time, she was with the rebels fighting and in 2010 she died of natural cause. It could have changed just like what happend to Moeka.
When Okabe stopped time traveling because Moeka came to kill them, she was, obviously, still alive, but when okabe went back in time, deleting D-Mails, and arrived to Moeka's D-Mail, she had killed herself and kept dying. So, I belive the worldlines to change, with the exception of Mayuri and Kurisu' death-for some reason-.
What if Mayurii time traveled with John Titor back 8 years? Would Mayurii still have died 2 days after from some random cause?
Maybe she would have lived, because of what I explained before~
Who kills Kurisu?? Is it Okabe for some, as of yet, unknown reason? Is it Suzuha? Or is it someone else entirely?
It was Okabe who killed Kurisu. Or, at least, she did tell him he was very desperate to save Mayuri. Also i noticed that the person in the roof, in the first episode, does look like Suzuha and maybe it really was her.
Then if it was Okabe, how can two Okabes be in the same worldline at the same time?
Im thinking, either he found a way to travel with his body, or he traveled with suzuha in the time machine.
When did the first change happen? When was the first time they moved between world-lines? Did they ever move between lines?
The first time time they moved world lines, if im not mistaken, was when Okabe sent a message to Daru, telling him Makise Kurisu had been stabbed to death.
And as for the other questions, its all about the future =O
I reeeeally hope I helped you guys, if not, I'm sorry i might have confused you more
