Former SDN48 member Serina to make an appearance on Nakama Yukie’s upcoming drama

It has been revealed that former SDN48 member, Serina, will be making an appearance on NTV’s upcoming drama “Ghost Mama Sousasen ~Boku to Mama no Fushigi na 100 Nichi~” starring Nakama Yukie.

As reported previously, this drama is based on Sato Tomokazu’s manga “Ghost Mama Sousasen”, and it’s a fantasy-comedy drama in which a police woman, “Uehara Choko (Nakama)”, suddenly dies then appears in front of her son “Tonbo” (played by Kimino Yuma) as a ghost due to her worries about her cowardly son. Together with her son, she solves several cases. Sawamura Ikki and Shida Mirai will also make appearances as Choko’s husband and daughter, respectively.

This is the first regular appearance in a drama series for Serina, who will be playing “Yoshizawa Minami”, the homeroom teacher of Tonbo. Serina commented, “Since I love children, I once had a dream to be a teacher when I was in college besides the dream to be in entertainment industry. Through this role, both of my dreams have come true, so I am happy.”

“Ghost Mama Sousasen ~Boku to Mama no Fushigi na 100 Nichi~” is scheduled to start in July (every Saturday at 9:00 pm).

Aqua Timez to sing theme song for Nakama Yukie’s upcoming drama

It’s been revealed that rock band Aqua Timez will be singing the theme song for Nakama Yukie’s upcoming drama, ‘Ghost Mama Sousasen‘!

This is the first time Aqua Timez and Nakama Yukie will be working together since ‘Gokusen‘. After reuniting with the members of the band, Nakama commented, “The theme song, ‘Tsubomi’ (‘Bud’) has very gentle lyrics that are perfect for the drama’s worldview. I know they will liven up the drama!!”

‘Ghost Mama Sousasen’ is a heart-warming comedy based on Sato Tomokazu’s manga of the same title. Nakama plays the role of a capable police officer named ‘Choko’ who suddenly passes away. As a ghost, she appears in front of her son ‘Tonbo’ (played by Kimino Yuma), and solves various cases with him.

The drama also stars Sawamura Ikki as Choko’s husband ‘Kouhei’, Shida Mirai as Choko’s daughter ‘Aoi’, Sanada Yuma as Aoi’s classmate, former SDN48 member Serina, comedian duo Drunk Dragon’s Tsukaji Muga, and Namase Katsuhisa.

Aqua Timez vocalist Futoshi was overjoyed that the drama’s theme corresponded with what he wanted to sing. “I’m very honored that we will be in charge of the theme song for the ‘Gokusen’ team,” he expressed.

Futoshi also shared that out of all the songs he’s worked on so far, he spent the most time arranging this one. “I feel that a bud (tsubomi) holds a message saying that it won’t look up to the sky unless it blossoms. It’s not going to end if you don’t give up. I hope this song will reach those who strive for the best until they blossom.”

NTV will air ‘Ghost Mama Sousasen’ every Saturday night at 9:00 pm starting on July 7th.
