Big Bang T.O.P's new movie sets cast, to begin shooting next month

Big Bang T.O.P's new film has finished its cast lineup and is about to go into production soon, according to &credit's press release on Monday. "The Classmates" (tentative title), which will feature T.O.P as a North Korean spy that illegally crosses the Korean boarder to save his sister, has finalized the cast and will begin its shooting in July.

While Big Bang plays the spy named Myeong-hoon, a young high-school student whose job is to assassinate apostates living in South Korea, actress Han Yeri will play one of his classmates named Hye-in, whom Myeong-hoon falls in love with. In addition to the pair's cast, child actress Kim You-jung has been set to portray Myeong-hoon's younger sister in the melodramatic action film.

Previously, the rapper showed his excitement about doing the project, saying that he was drawn into the role of a North Korean spy who holds both characters of a cold-blooded killer and an innocent high school kid.

Meanwhile, Kim, best known for her role in MBC's "The Moon Embracing the Sun," expressed her joy in Monday's statement for joining the cast, saying, "I'm so Happy and nervous about being part of such a great movie and I'll do my best to do my role."

With director Park Shin-woo of the Korean film "White Night" behind the screen, "The Classmates" promoters said they will reveal the film's approximate opening period on a later date.
