I recently picked up a copy of Bushido Blade for the PS1 at the local game store, and suddenly remembered why it was one of my favorite games growing up. There is nothing more satisfying than breaking the opponents legs, and their arms, and then menacing them with a sledge hammer. For those who have played, which is your favorite? Bushido Blade 1 or 2? I personally liked two more because the characters actually had different aspects about them and it did matter who was picked.

Was such an innovative and new type of fighting game. It really captured the essence of fighting and the adrenaline rush of defending and retaliating. A great system for blocking and parrying and free running. The way they let damage play a role in mobility and stamina was great as well.

I preferred Bushido Blade 2. One of my favorite games of all time, and was the only fighting game I was really good at lol. Played it all the time with my friends but they would all get super pissed because the matches would rarely last over 10 seconds. I loved the look and how the game played, no complicated button sequences, all timing and angles.

I always used Hongou with Broad Sword/Zanbatou and Matsumishi with Katana.
