Ive just started watching Da Capo III after getting a twitter notification from Crunchyroll and Im currently on episode 3...

I noticed one of the comments said that its best to watch the other 2 episodes before watching this one so I did a google search and found out that there has been more than a few seasons...

On each Wiki page they have something different written down...

Are there in fact 3 series or more than 3? The ones listed on Wiki are;

Da Capo: Second Season
Da Capo: If
Da Capo II: Second Season
Da Capo III

There is one on the II page that just states that there are 13 episodes and then a second season of the Da Capo II...

Am I missing something here?

Is it best to watch the other seasons before Da Capo III or is it safe to watch the only season available on here?
If its best to watch the other seasons... Where can I watch/buy them from? Amazon doesnt sell them...

If I recall, the first Da Capo had 2 seasons, and both had 26 episodes each.

Da Capo II also had 2 seasons, but they were only 13 episodes each. I think this story takes place 57 years after the first show concludes, and has the main male character from the first Da Capo as an old grandfather by this point, although he's not seen much nor does he play much of a role until the second season.

Da Capo 3 from what I hear is 13 episodes. From what they've said in the show, its about 20 years after Da Capo 2.

You may want to watch them to get some background info on characters in Da Capo 3, but from what I've watched, it's not critical if you don't see them. And I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to watch it, as that's 78 episodes you'd have to catch up on. There is some continuity between them, namely the cherry blossoms, a girl named Sakura, and a guy named Suginami, who looks and sounds exactly the same in each version (yeah yeah, they used the same voice actor, but it's still unusual to see him/his descendants virtually unchanged in 70+ years lol).

As for where to see them, google is your friend, that's all I'll comment on

in my oppinion just watch them in the order you want. look at ff7. the events before ff7 are on the psp yet appeared later. plus there is the movie and the spinoffs like durge ceribrus. since its in the same universe, just different timelines, it doesnt really matter. now if it had the same timeline then watch them in order. sorry for using an over used game guys its just the only example i can think of.

De capo is a popular Visual Novel in Japan that has (so far) Released Da Capo, Da Capo II & Da capo III (The latest installment).

De Capo I: Had two anime adaptations as well as a rumored OVA coming.
The First aired in Japan between July 11 December 27, 2003, and spanned 26 episodes. (24 minutes)
The second anime series Da Capo: Second Season, was produced by the animation studio Feel and directed by Masanori Nayoshi. The series also spanned 26 episodes and aired in Japan between July 2 December 24, 2005

De Capo II: On May 10, 2007, the magazine Comptiq revealed that a Da Capo II anime adaptation would be produced. The anime aired in Japan between October 1, 2007 and December 24, 2007 on TV Aichi, and was broadcasted on other networks soon after, including Chiba TV and TV Kanagawa. A second season aired in Japan between April 5, 2008 and June 28, 2008 on the same networks as the first season. Each season was produced by the animation studio Feel, and contains thirteen episodes.

Hope that helps. If you're interested in the series I strongly suggest playing all three Visual Novels.
