Independent voter here. I don't care what party you belong to, if your ideas are crap I won't vote for you. I hate when people blindly vote for someone based on political parties.

Used to be a hard line conservative, but the republicans are now as demented as the democrats. Mind you there have always been several factions of over the edge groups within both parties. You have the democrats who idealistically give everything away and conservatives who aren't willing to give up anything. Last election voted green party only because the election only needed a 5% vote for libertarian parties to throw the current bipartisan incubus into a confused mass. Needless to say 5% wasn't achieved and look at today...sequesterer.

Libertarian, the Democrats and Republicans are far too greedy, and the Green party is borderline communist.

I usually end up voting democrat, but I guess I identify with the green party the most. The problem is they have no political sway and the fear of republicans in power tends to result in me countering that potential voting for the lesser of two evils. Either way, I don't really strongly feel attached to any party. I mostly just dislike our political system and feel fairly powerless.

They are all liars who care more for their paychecks than the public, so I don't put my faith in any of them.

Republicans nowadays tend to be mostly spineless and harmless(otherwise they would have defunded Obamacare not just vote to overturn it in the House). Democrats tend to think the answer to everything is yet another government program where they (mis)spend taxpayer money on projects that fail in the real world. i.e. it takes more energy to create biofuels than what you get in the end.

BTW, I'm surprised there are some who checked Republican. I figured it would be mostly Democrats and liberal leaning independents.

Neither. The U.S. is polarized anyways.
