Hunter x Hunter. It sucks that Togashi is always on hiatus though lol. It's been almost two years since a chapter has been released, and I'm not counting the 2 chapter special for Kurapika that was released to promote the Phantom Rouge movie.

Yoshihiro Togashi seriously needs to pick up the slack, and actually progress the story. It's a shame that such a brilliant series has been left untouched for over a year now.

Being a HunterxHunter fan is an incredibly painful and tragic experience. It's not just that it's been a year, it's that this isn't his first time.

He NEVER writes very much. Then again, he did do Yu Yu Hakusho and Level E, and his wife did Sailor Moon, so he kinda doesn't need to write another page and still live a comfortable life.

Most people posting in this thread are just posting their favorite series instead of actually reading the title :<

It's gotta be full metal alchemist. That is the best shounen manga/anime to date. One piece is also great too.

Too many to list just one! It's like choosing a favorite child. Part of why I'm a fan. I read the comments and find myself saying "Yeah, that one" to each one.

Bakuman probably does the best job of "defying" what Shonen is about simply by giving the best insight into what it IS about.....whatever you can imagine!

(i didn't mean to post this yet oop)

medaka box. it's very self-aware and as such it's able to poke fun at a lot of shounen cliches, exploit them and turn them into something brilliant and thought-provoking. as expected of nisioisin! the cast is has so much diversity, and i love that there are no weak/romantic-interest-only females; in fact, a lot of the roles are reversed, wherein the females are usually the stronger characters and many of the males pine after medaka's attention. it's really a breath of fresh air.
