Pure coincidence

They were all release on the double issue 37/38 or 36/37.

Sometime it just happen that this period is the next cancellation round ( like this year)

If anyone's interested in japanese dramas, you should watch Juhan Shutai It's a pretty great drama that focuses on the editors of a weekly manga department. Throughout the drama, we follow each editor as they deal with new mangakas (how they choose which ones to debut, etc) & also how they deal with old mangas that are not doing so well.

Also is Black Clover really that good? Should I give it a try?

Ooo that show sounds interesting. Will defs check it out.

Honestly Black Clover is bad... The only praise I have for it is its art and setting. BUT, it's still enjoyable, for me anyway. The story is cliche, fights are not well thought out. I don't think you'll find anyone saying it's amazing, but that doesn't mean it's not worth reading. I'm glad I read it, and it's my guilty pleasure, but yeh. It's a bit like Naruto with Fairy Tail's crappy nakama power. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

It was very interesting! & the cast was great too!

Hmmm doesn't sound too appealing, but I may check it out if I run out of things to read or watch lol!

Well, its a Jump Battle Shounen manga so and that's pretty much the trademark of them.
Nakama power, usage of tropes etc.

That comic-con ranking, actually got people talking about Black Clover in the west more than before.

Just waiting for that anime announcment, A bit eager to see how it will be handled i expect Pierrot or Toei.

Thoughts on The Promised Neverland thus far? I think it's great that Jump has gotten a new series that is a little more dark and twisted. The characters are a little cookie-cutter, but I like the setting thus far, and I think it has a lot of room for development and expanding. The initial plot twist was kind of predictable, but well executed, in my opinion. All in all, I'm enjoying it so far, and am looking forward to what is to come.

Well, the second chapter wasn't as good as the first. But I guess that's the kind of chapter that was necessary so hopefully it still remains good.

Those Straighten Up, Yaiba and Samon rankings are terrible :/.

That was something i found in a jp forum.

Those are placings including colour pages and everything basically counting it like this.

WSJ Cast (Cover)
1.One Piece (Lead CP)
2.My Hero Academia
3.Haikyuu!!
4.Nisekoi (CP, END)
5.Black Clover
6.Gintama
7.The Promised Neverland (CP)
8.Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
9.Hinomaru Zumou
10.Boruto (CP)
11.The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
12.Bleach (CP)
13.Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Souma
14.World Trigger
15.Kochikame
16.Kimetsu no Yaiba
17.Samon the Summoner
18.Straighten Up! Welcome to Shika High's Competitive Dance Club
19.Takuan and Batsu's Daily Demon Diary
20.Toriko
21.Chronicle of Isobe -Life is Hard-

Samon-kun twice in row has been placed at a really low position.

The chapter that was placed this low for Kimetsu no Yaiba(chapter 25) was really great.

I hope that's not a sign of things to come for Kimetsu no Yaiba. But I think this is a real bad sign for Takuan.

As for Promised Neverland, I still can't really gauge it. It hasn't shown me anything to separate itself from the pack yet.

the official JUMP youtube released sorta of PV for Kimetsu no Yaiba and Volume 2 seems to have a good increase.

Takuan and Sesuji are the ones, i think are in really big trouble.

but there is a odd thing with Samon-kun its volume 5 is set for September and its volume 6 is set for October.
it currently has 44 not enough to fill volume 6(normally its 52 chapters needed to fill up to volume 6).
they normally do this stuff for series they cancel, Mononofu also had volume 4 and 5 set in straight months and it didn't have enough chapters to fill volume 5.

But by October it will have enough. I guess they were just really far behind in what chapters were in volumes so they did two in a row? It happens with series quite often Ive found by looking at the release schedule. Maybe once a year a few series will have two consequetive months of releases. they'll get behind and then release volumes right up to the latest chapter. Boruto's a bit different because its monthly, but it's first volume (ch1-3) released at the same time as its 4th chapter did. I can't imagine Samon being cancelled considering it had pretty amazing rankings until the last like 3 weeks and has been promoted quite a bit. I'd think Yaiba is in way more trouble personally because its sales are like half of Samons although its rankings are pretty similar.

To be fair, Mononofu had great ranks until it suddenly didn't either. That, and we don't know how well these new series will do and if they will last. We don't even know how many new series there will be next go around.

At this point, we just don't know. But Toriko and Takuan look to be the most obvious candidates.

38 (22nd august) - 45
39 (29th august) - 46
40(5th of september) - 47
41(12th of sep)- 48
42(19th of sep) - 49
43 (26th of sep)- 50
44 ( 3rd of Oct)- 51
35 (10 of oct)- 52

the necessary chapters manga normally need for volume 6, it won't get them until after the volume is out.
it might be a volume with less chapters but still WSJ rarely ships a volume without 10-15 chapters leftover for said series.
eg - (Black Clover volume 7 came out but it already has filled Volume 8 and has started filling Vol 9)

I guessed Mononofu was going to get axed the moment it had its volume schedule for straight release (they weren't at first, WSJ changed it)

If editors decide the rankings them they were put a lot into Mononofu and it didn't sell well so they axed it by dropping it down.

3 more chapters for Takuan to have filled 2 volumes.

I think the next round will be 2 series (takuan and another one)
