Akira Toriyama has announced in a new Jump Live interview that his current weekly manga short Jaco the Galactic Patrolman

currently running in weekly Shounen Jump will most likely be the last manga series he will draw. The aging great ha drawn numerous shorts and one shots since Dbz

この『銀河パトロール ジャコ』は1年以上前から準備を進めていました。

He mentions that he spent a year preparing the series and originally wanted to release at the same time of the new Dragonball Z movie back in March but was pushed back due to delays via certain circumstances. Goes on to reflect a little about his career mentioning despite being considered one of the all time greats that doesn't necessarily result in strong confidence drawing from the past is a hard thing to to do as it is to physically demanding now for his age. (Hence why he hasnt drawn a Dbz chap his self only supervising spinoffs like Bardock spinoff one would assume)

That's cool. That man needs to retire in peace.
