While Sword Art was the first series I watched start to finish, it didn't get me hooked. It wasn't until one day when out of boredom that I watched Watamote, loled for hours that I started taking the idea of anime seriously. I think what truly made me understand the power of anime was Cowboy Bebop though. I ended up watching from 5 if the afternoon till 3 in the morning to watch the series.

Armitage III and Dominion Tank Police are the ones i started watching and really became a fan of anime. I'd seen a few before that but never really took it as a serious hobby until i saw these and the first Ghost In The shell movie.

This exact AMV, years and years ago: √Bestamvsofalltime ▪ The Last Chapter AMV.

Between hitting play and that AMV ending I went from thinking all anime was kiddie crap vomited onto TV by companies like 4Kids, to realizing that maybe they could actually handle and present memorable characters and epic stories.

Chrno Crusade was kinda meh, but from there I kept looking and started watching Naruto, Bleach, Trinity Blood and Hellsing, although the point of actual commitment was around when I found both Gunslinger Girl and Elfen Lied.

Ghost in the Shell and that animated short Kakurenbo: Hide & Seek.

GiTS because the opening got stuck in my head as a kid watching it late at night on Adult Swim and Kakurenbo because it used to freak out and scare me just by the trailers alone, as well as enthrall me to delve deeper.

Hmm let's see

Trigun, Ruroni Kenshin, Yuyu Hakusho, Shaman King, Gundam Wing, Gundam G, Flame of Recca, Dragon Ball, Chōdenji Machine Voltes V, Tōshō Daimos, Doreamon, Heidi Girl of the Alps, Sayuki, Gate Keepers, Vandread, Love Hina... Oh man so nostalgic I keep remembering stuff.... I know there is more though.

Also keep in mind this are the shows I watched on TV when I was a kid and I don't have a computer back in my old country too ^_^
