Racism is alive and well. Funny thing is most people don't realize when they are being blatantly racist.

Wait, did OP write the smallest organ was the skin?
Racism saddens me. I always see people fighting racism with more racism even though it is probably trolling.

Of course this is biased.

People who are racist, I consider them to be the naturally stupid.

Racism is inherently nonsensical. Racial studies are interesting. The long and short of it.

Most people aren't racist usually, (despite what the media tries to portray) but certainly everyone is capable of it. It's a stupid thing really to fault someone over a mere color. It's immature, childish and just downright ignorant at best. To me people act that way out of fear, even if they don't realize the root of it.

On that same note, I find it very interesting that sometimes someone who isn't racist also wouldn't date another race. Not because of preferences either. (the most prominent pairing being white/black) It makes me wonder. Personally I don't care.

I look at it like coffee. I love me some white chocolate mocha, but I certainly won't turn down straight black.

I hate racism. SO MUCH.

Especially when people accuse you for being racist before they even talk to you or anything. Like being a white blonde conservative girl automatically makes me racist. And actually, they don't even have to know I'm conservative....all they see is a white blondie and they're like "YOU RACIST HO" and that really hurts.

I think it's important to know that racism goes BOTH ways. Like why do we hate people who are different than us? I think it's cool to be different. Like you have darker skin than me? Awesome! You have darker hair than me? Cool! Guess what? My hair literally turns green in a pool! Whoa your hair is pure white!!!! SO COOL! WHOA YOU SPEAK MULTIPLE LANGUAGES!?!? That's such a great talent! You have a different religion? Oh cool! Do you mind telling me a little bit about it?

Racism sucks. Racism is just another word for HATE.

Racism is never going away. I'm inclined to believe that people are lying, in denial, or merely don't understand themselves when they say they aren't even a little racist. Racism is prejudgment or prejudice. People simply don't have the brainpower to stop judging things based on appearance. This is understandable since sight is our main sense and you can't survive in the real world if you do a time-intensive threat analysis of everything that you encounter. That's just how it is.

Usually, the ability to quickly assess things is good. Every day, we make hundreds of choices based on appearance. It just so happens that acting upon racist beliefs is often bad but that's because this method isn't 100% accurate. It's necessary but not always right, so to speak. Racism is merely a dark facet of the valuable gem that is the ability to prejudge. In fact, you are guilty of exercising that ability to prejudge when you condemn racism as being thoroughly bad, since there is often a grain of truth in the core of the belief. You are belittling the ability to prejudge based on one mere flaw.

All we can do is become aware of our prejudices and suppress the desire to act upon them. Knowledge and education also work to reduce this prejudice but it cannot be eliminated. Like it or not, all you can do is refrain from acting by understanding the consequences. Stopping yourself from acting doesn't stop you from thinking. Prejudgment is not the proper tool for every task but it's one we rely heavily on every day, so we naturally attempt to use it. I daresay we can't help but use it.

I can openly and honestly say I am racist. But that is no crime. That is honesty. My thoughts are mine alone and as long as I don't act upon them and try my best to treat people equally, nobody else has any right to point fingers.

Racism and hatred runs in our blood. We are all human, we create judgment in a certain group of people. Is best to say that is better to care only for ourselves. Because you wouldn't create judgments about anyone other than yourself. That's the way I think it should be.

You cannot choose your vessel, but you can choose how you decorate it.

Your hairstyle, your clothes, your swagger, your speech, your actions. They are aspects of yourself that you can choose, and if you choose to associate yourself with attributes that are known to be less than admirable, then people will judge you less than admirably.

People say don't judge a book by its cover. I would say, alter the cover to represent the contents of the book. There isn't enough time in the day to understand everyone's traumatic histories.

After reading the thread and putting a lot of thought into it I've decided that I don't like the racism.
