I went to a Muslim college because it was one of the only colleges that taught philosophy in my city. On my first day I remember finding my tutor class room and on the door was a list of pupils in the class, I saw four people that were named the same thing: Muhammad Muhammad. A very popular name but this was the first time I had seen it being used as forename and sir name. In the end they said that they only go by one Muhammad instead of being called out on the register as both, so the name was singular and they said "Like Madonna". Strange comparison but hey it made me chuckle and ponder a little. I couldn't imagine having the same first and sir name and having to take a singular name roll basis.

Job wise I sometimes pack jewellery orders for people and from time to time I find funny sir names such as:
Whitecock
Blackcock
Pooping
Susan Swallows

Earthell. Ok I'll admit I haven't met the guy but my taxi-driver uncle (R.I.P.) did and he said that's the weirdest name he had encountered in his 10+ years driving taxis.

My name is Desiree and I used to think it was strange because it took about 15 years of my life before I met another Desiree, and rarely after. After reading the thread I guess it's pretty normal- just too many ways to spell it and on paper it looks like "Des-a-ree" to most folks but it's "Dez-a-ray". I don't blame them though.

I knew three girls who's names were Alerika, Christiana, and Amaya. No idea if I'm spelling those right.

My mom knew a woman named Chan Deleer.
