Jesus 71 votes.

And sadly I have not seen either of these next ones, nor even know them. So, I'll bow out this round.

I vote for Sunday Without God because it was more interesting. I would die [of laughter] if NNB makes it to the next round... it's done better than it should've.

Let me first say that i respect you and anyone who enjoyed Log Horizon, but for me, that show was insane. In the case of me calling it childish, i understand that the show was aired on a channel predominantly for a younger audience, like a previous commenter said. What i meant by it was "childish" was more so what they presented and not really its demographic. An example of that is when they feigned as if what they were doing intelligent work, when the things they figured out and implemented were, again, childish. You arrive in this new world that your familiar with, still have your in-game skills, levels, and knowledge, but one of your main focuses in the beginning is making food taste good!? There are so many other things to be worried about like, why am i here? Can i get out? If you can give me an example of these rational adult decisions that would be great...maybe i was too focused/distracted by the idiotic interactions between our colorful cast.

Yes, i feel that the death penalty was a major point since it was such an important thing to Shiroe and it was covered in such great detail. It seemed like an important point that Shiroe noted to the others and was also very controversially discussed in their Round Table discussions. The ability to create things and change the world was an important aspect don't get me wrong, but when faced with the ability to lose part of what makes you YOU, i feel that's more important. I can also note that this show, to me at least, is learning about and changing the world they are in, but that is just not shown good to me. Look at the things they do, it's honestly ridiculous man!

I take this show as it was presented. A fantasy show with a surplus of discussions and meager discoveries. I didn't watch this as a standard shounen at all...it's not like i wanted it to have badass fights and a great show of friendship. At least make the discussions fairly involving and intelligent. Shiroe being a badass was my little jab at the way they made him seem with the cast calling him a villain and how great he was. I didn't think he was great, i thought he was the fairly brainy MC surrounded by a less intelligent cast.

I HATE the word deconstructive when talking about something in general aka anime. When using it in the same context aka same show is when it makes sense to me. In the Merriam-Webster dictionary, deconstruct is defined as: to adapt or separate the elements of for use in an ironic or radically new way. If that was the case for the show, the closest things to that is either the new changes in spells Shiroe discovered or the discovery of...tasteful food. To me, an anime should not be compared to others and should be watched for how it is presented. I'm not even thinking about any Kirito's or Ichigo's.

Oh wow, next round lmao

Non Non Biyori because it was one of the best slice of life, girls in the countryside going to school and getting friendly and even a bit more than friendly shows with humor, music, emotional moments, cutesness, sweetness, sadness, everything in a perfect package with beautiful countryside backdrops. It is hard to describe how wonderful this series was.

YESSS!!! MAGI! Woot!

Anyway: I vote for Non Non Biyori. It was cute, funny and in general a really good slice of life anime.

This is tough. First of all because I like both shows. Secondly because they are ENTIRELY different shows that you can't fairly compare to each other, one is a fantasy adventure series, the other an episodic slice of life series.

On one hand Renge was awesome, but aside from maybe Candy Store, the rest of Non Non Biyori's cast is nothing to really write home about.

On the other hand Sunday Without God has a better premise(interesting take on zombie apocalypse vs. slice of life #71827274), a better world, and a better art style.

I would like to see both continue, but since I have to pick one.....Sunday Without God gets my vote. Simply due to SWG being just barely inside my Top 10 for 2013, and NNB would be a few places back.

Since you dislike both of them, maybe vote for the one that you hated the least?

That's what makes it so hard!
SWG had an interesting world, but let me down with forced events, dumb arcs and an annoying lead loli.
Non Non Biyori was just extremely boring with an ugly triangle mouth loli, but was slightly refreshing.

Arghhhh! Who to pick!

Screw it, Sunday Without God because the first arc wasn't completely terrible. That and i actually finished the show.

You win this time...this time.

Sunday without God gets my vote, I enjoyed it. Not much else to say about either show though.
