Ok, TWGOK, because it's atypical. He has to work to gain members, and then he doesn't get to keep them...

There's a fetish in that somewhere ><

Seriously though, that's the most interesting part of the show for me. The fact that the girls forget him is both sad and powerful and moves it a bit above the normal harem fare.

But then they start to remember him in this arc and everything he's known so far starts to fall apart!

He has to confront the fact that "CRAP. These are real people, and real people don't behave according to an algorithm." He has to confront his own emotions, deal with regret and the pain of hurting other people.

TWGOK's first two season were fantastic. Fun, lighthearted, with a solid plot. The third season was...disappointing compared to the first two. The change in the series always bothered me. He really had to implement this goddesses plot and a war between new and old demons. Guess the author got tired of the formulaic style of conquering girls using Keima's gaming knowledge, but i loved that. I'm not saying the new plot was bad but even so it wasn't shown that well and was rushed.

I read the manga up to that point, and the author stated a few times that this new/old demons plot was the overarching plot of the series (and that he had the idea in mind the entire time he was writing the manga). And, the way the manga was going, even though it was a series of conquests up to that point, you could kind of tell that's where the series was headed. Makes much more sense when you're given over 50 extra chapters and not just 1 episode to reach the Goddess Arc.

And what I mean is that the development shouldn't have necessarily been a change of pace, but a logical continuation. But yeah, the show did kind of fudge it a little (or a lot).

I did a count and TWGOK is way ahead no matter the exact count and Haganai has lost.

TWGOK - 29 votes (1 I'm unsure of, so maybe 30)

Haganai - 18 votes (2 troll votes would make the count 20 which is still 9 to 10 back of the lead)

Haganai, because their game faces rival even Keima's. And because my vote won't swing a thing

I vote for Chihayafuru 2. I've only seen the first season, but it was awesome, so its second season gets my vote.

Silver Spoon 2

Haven't seen Chihayafuru but I don't think that would change my opinion. SS2 is damn amazing and the only show that could put it in trouble for me is Kill la Kill (and even then, only because KlaK was more entertaining, 'cos Silver Spoon was definitely better writing-wise).

2 of my 5 faves from last year. I almost didn't want this to happen but they were the only two left that had not been paired.

Chihayafuru 2

Well, I wasn't going to vote, but I have seen couple more episodes and I can safely say I will enjoy this a lot more than Silver Spoon. Plus, I dig these types of shows hardcore. Really liking all the characters. This 50 episode climb might just be easy.

As for why I didn't vote Silver Spoon, I really enjoyed the show. There was a incredible educational standpoint to the show as well as a solid theme surrounding our main character. However, it isn't something memorable for me. I went through this thought process in my point of view and asked myself, would I recommend this to people? I realized most likely not since I have lots of other slice of life shows ahead of it. Don't get me wrong, it is still quite enjoyable, but after seeing a pretty good handful of Chihayafuru. This seems to be more up my alley and I don't know why or how I missed out on it.
