Gargantia

I didn't really like this show that much but a few characters were interesting enough. Honestly I'm voting this because it has 11 boring episodes less than Railgun. That show just wasn't for me. The only part I kinda liked were the confrontations with Number 4 and her gang. I don't know what arc that goes in but it's the only part of the show that was entertaining (until 2 days ago I thought that was what you guys were referring to as the ''Silent Party'' arc). Other parts of the show such as the Index recap (apparently called Sisters arc here), the K-ON episodes with Uihara and Saten, the Silent Loli arc and other fillers were horrible.

Misaka is better has a side character. They should forget about Railgun and alternate between Index and Accelerator anime series.

Railgun S

I was looking forward to the animation of the Sister's arc and it was an awesome adaptation! Shows more character development as well as funny moments

And the vote goes to...

Railgun S

Reason? Because I really like the main character since she is somebody who does not like seeing others get hurt for her sake and is willing to face through anything to make sure her friends are safe. Also Accelerator's appearance made the show turn even darker. I'm hoping there'll be another season!

Railgun S, because of the awesome plot and we get to see things from another persons point of view in Railgun with Misaka and thats pretty good, because I like to see two whole sides to a story.

Hmm...

I think I'll vote Hataraku Maou-sama this round for its glorious comedy and colorful cast of characters. Problem Children is also one of my favorites from the Winter lineup but just not quite there yet in terms of comedy. Hataraku Maou-sama's story does need a bit more work though especially the second half but overall is very enjoyable imo with its characters.

Season 2 when?!

Maou-sama! Not only because I genuinely like it, but because it is going against another one of my hit list shows.

If that's not good enough, I thought Maou-sama was incredibly funny, with my only real complaint being that the show just.....ends......I really dislike sudden endings......should have ended the episode prior........

Also I'd like to point out that you can totally watch the second half of Maou-sama out of order and it still mostly makes sense. I'm not telling a lie, either. Thanks to some whacky hijinks with my Hulu queue, I accidentally skipped two episodes and watched them after the last arc in the show, and aside from a few lines and character details being out of whack, it still made total sense! I did rewatch it in the correct order, though. Just wanted to throw that out there.

This is really tough; I was hoping that both of these would make it far in the tournament.

I vote for Hataraku Maou-sama because I feel like it was more consistent than Problem Children. Every episode of Hataruaku was excellent while Problem Children had a few moments that weren't as good.

So easy...i think this will be an even more concise match.

Hataraku Maou-sama for it's comedy and great characters. Very entertaining first half, but extremely weak second half. Problem Children honestly bored the crap out of me, and i still haven't finished it. They just abused that poor Usagi-chan and flaunted their power. I'll take a weak second half any day over a lame story...still have to finish it soon.

Sorry Problem Children, but my vote goes to Hataraku Maou-sama. I really loved the character interactions and the way everyone reacted to the most trivial of Earth concepts. The concept has been done before, but I've never seen it done like this. It had me laughing most of the time, but managed to spice things up a bit at a couple points. The middle fell a bit flat for me, but that didn't really detract from my overall enjoyment of the series.

Problem Children's world and concepts were really interesting to me, but I felt that they could have been explored in more depth (probably a result of only having 10 episodes). I did like the characters, though, and I definitely liked the approach to them; they didn't become 'good guys' for the sake of being 'good guys' or for respect or anything like that, they only became that way to help out the people who acknowledged their way of life and didn't force them to do things they didn't want to do. I'm pretty sure this will lose, and I will be a little sad to see it go; analyzing it for this thread has made me like it more than I did when I first watched it

Problem Children

Problem Children hands down! This was a very interesting show. I came to it a season later and watched all of it in 1 day. It was really entertaining and I would like to see a 2nd season. The character development was on the weak side, but the entire fantasy premise was awesome. I know this will be a milestone to win against the Juggernaut, but with you fans we can defeat "The Devil is a Part Timer." You see Black Rabbit up there? You guys want that to push through right?!?!?! RIGHT!?!?!?! Learn what you learned from this season, Cuteness makes the world round! My Motivation speech good enough?

EDIT: Well I didn't think it would get beaten this badly, but it did Oh well, it went pretty far and took a show out to get here. /standing ovation LOL

Seriously, Maou-sama needs another season. Saw all the episodes in one sitting despite all the work I had to catch up on and did not regret it.

Problem Children gets my vote.
Not only did I not watch the other one, but Problem Children was one of my favorites of the year.
