Thx!
While it doesn't help much right now (as I'm Norwegian), I'll bookmark it and check it occasionally in case they add other countries later.

Aniplex had it dubbed http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2018/04/24-1/fatestay-night-heavens-feel-anime-film-heads-to-us-theaters so you can bet it will come out on home media eventually. But it might be like $50-$100 and limited time.

I had reservations because I figured it was probably almost the same team that did UBW so my expectations were low, ...... wow its on par with fate /zero in terms of adaptation ( but /zero as a story is perhaps better suited to the anime medium ) . Maybe now people can see where UBW went wrong because the characters shown in this one are very accurate to the VN as a whole whereas in UBW they were misportrayed.

I know they said they wouldn't do route one but I hope they do remake it in this style, I like the original 2006 anime but its a pale imitation of the original story and the graphics are just naff.

I really don't think the Fate route can hold up to HF. Like, the points of Fate & UBW were to culminate into HF. All that character development and intrigue reaching a climax with the darkest, and best written route in F/SN. Fate was to introduce the magic, characters, and lore of the series to an extent. UBW was delving into Shirou's past, present, and future condition as a hero of justice, and battling his ideals. And HF... Well. I won't say. But it concludes everything, and tells the FSN story in a way that could only be done with the first two serving as an intro and segue into HF.

I don't see it like that exactly, I think HF ended up being badass as a consequence of what you said, not an intention, the reader / viewer has more information and less exposition is needed so more drama and action could be put in, but each route holds up on its own and has its own vision and intention.

The route I really like is 2 ( UBW ) because in the 2006 anime archer is sort of portrayed as a good character but hes also quite enigmatic,
you don't find out much about him until route 2, but also because in route 1 and 3 shiros internal conflicts are relatively easily resolved compared to route 2. I like the philosophical and moral quandaries that the series presents and more focus is put on that in route 1 and 2. Emotionally though 3 is probably the most intense which might be why people like it.

The import Blu-Ray (available starting tomorrow, according to Play Asia) has English subtitles, and you guessed the price range correctly. There is a special edition ($99.99 U.S.), plus the standard Blu-Ray ($49.99 U.S.) and DVD ($41.99 U.S.; not playable in U.S. players) versions. ... With any luck, the English dub version will get a separate, cheaper release at a later date, but I doubt it, since this is Aniplex we are talking about here.

Hopefully Aniplex announces US blu-ray release date at their panel at AX. I know FGO NA 1-year anniversary is one of the big things they’ll talk about.

EDIT: Actually... Rightstuf has listed it for preorder. For those of y'all that want it like me. Better hop on it.

Off topic but still related to the Nasuverse, the limited edition for The Garden of Sinners is back. For those of you who missed on out buying it couple years ago, better hop on this as well. I know this will sell out fast.

It’s the same limited edition with the same content that was released couple years ago here on rightstuf. I think it’s still sub-only unless Aniplex announces that they’ve dubbed it and will include it at their panel. I don’t think it’s dubbed but it’s something to think about. They did promote this a lot during the Garden of Sinners collaboration event on FGO (same time when CR acquired it).

The only minor difference I see in this upcoming release vs. the limited release couple years ago is that the earlier limited edition was listed as and titled as “The Garden of Sinners (Import)”. I think this a limited legimate Aniplex USA official release as oppose to the “import”.

Looking at the wikipedia article for Garden of Sinners, it also doesn't appear to contain everything.

It says it comes with 7 movies, according to wikipedia, there were 8 movies. A remix movie, an OVA a short film and a 13 episode anime series.

I also see these are available on Crunchyroll....hmm

I already pre-ordered, guess I need to watch them on CR and see if I want to continue with the pre-order

The 8th movie about Void Shiki is the bonus movie the product description is talking about.

Here's the description for the upcoming limited release:

The Garden of Sinners contains movies 1-7 and Bonus: Final Chapter "The Garden of Sinners" all housed in a rigid box illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi along with a Deluxe 32-page Booklet.

“If it’s alive, I can kill even God himself.”

A total of the seven theatrical features that changed the history of Japanese animation film! Based on the hit cult novel created by TYPE-MOON (Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works], Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel]), with breathtaking animation produced by ufotable (God Eater, Katsugeki Touken Ranbu)!

Special Features: Final Chapter: the Garden of sinners on Disc 8 and a"Pre-show Reminder" short video per movie

As for the OVA and the 13 episode series it wasn't included in the limited release years ago. The Recall Summer OVA is actually available for purchase on Rightstuf separately. https://www.rightstufanime.com/Garden-of-Sinners-recalled-out-summer-Blu-ray-S-Limited-Edition The TV series (I think it was 26 episodes total) is more or less just a TV version of the the 8 movie series. I don't think there really is any point for the box set to have the TV series version on it when you have the superior movie version.

As for the pricing... yeah it's Aniplex but I'm willing to shell out $250 for it. I've wanted this ever since I've laid eyes on it many years ago plus I missed out on buying it when Aniplex had it's first limited release.
