No.

It's not my job to do your work nor is it right for you to tell me off because your boss told you to do a better job on work you're not doing when you should be, anyway.

Thank you.

Have a good day.

I hope you told that coworker who's boss Lio! Fuck that bitch/dick!

I sent him a less-incensed message saying:

I don't always have time to do it, and when I do, there's usually not a lot of it. I'm not sacrificing my break to get more stuff done when it's not on my "To Do" list.

They didn't take it kindly, either, but I don't really care at this point. They can fire me try to find somebody else to do all I do, if they want to.

They aren't because people hate the series.

Don't think it's popular enough.

Though, I dunno how much of an effect it has on translating, though. Hataraku Maou-sama seems pretty popular, and it doesn't have translations, yet.

Eh, it was a fun show, very dumb, but fun. The characters besides miss Tensai Ikkyuu and her adorable trap sidekick Daruku are pretty weak, zany, and inconsistently portrayed. The story is bizarre and nearly incoherent, but it does not matter because the wacky high jinks make up for it. There is a core mystery to be solved, who killed the ghost girl, but the ending never resolves things. So, that's why I said it was a troll end. I gave it a 6 out of 10, and would recommend it if you just want to watch some out there goofiness to relax and laugh at.

LoomyTheBrew wrote:

I wouldn't recommend it, it's a waste of time honestly.

Interesting. I may pass on it then lol. I believe I can blame blonde hair chick for making it going up my backlog rather quickly

Ooooooooooooooooh, Nanana hate talk?

As I said in the show thread:

"
That scene where Jugo mocked everyone was great, like if you take a normal guy and put him in some crazy-ass anime how he'd respond. I did not like the whole "I can't hate him / punch him, because I gave up on dreams waaaaaah" cop-out. That is completely neutering Jugo into the sorta lame-ass Shonen anti-hero / MC the scene was critiquing, and makes him a lesser character, and the story itself something lesser. I never did like the sort of ridiculous premise of the series, or I should say the sort of half-assed explanation behind the premise, and this scene felt like it was addressing that: like the earlier setting of the show was intentionally done that way to setup this great fake-out. So to then undo it all......

That's how I felt about the overall episode in a way. We see what terrible people the characters are, directing was great and showed more character insight in wordless montages than some series do over an entire season, we get that great scene where it's confirmed Jugo is a bastard and his father is a honorable thief, only for Jugo to give up his own ideals, the series to give up it's own direction and story, to revert to the "Magical Girlfriend Teachers Anti-Hero / Villain About Power of Love and Friendship!" with the way that scene and the episode concluded with Nanana.

However, what makes me think the series might avoid that generic route is the foreboding way Nanana avowed her complete faith in Jugo.

I mean, this episode and the previous one has been pretty darkly using Nanana as an emotional punching bag for the viewer (playing the "Pretend Lovers Game" because, oh hey, she's a dead teenage girl who will never know love or have a boyfriend, kinda sinking the idea she's not really dead in a subtle and cruel way), we see repeatedly how everyone (club prez, Jugo, blue-haired former roommate who I assume is now that blue-haired thief) uses her, so it could be that the way the episode concluded was to make the viewer realize, No, Jugo really IS a bastard.

It just sucks when a series has competent directing and writing, but you can't help but wonder it's only going to go so far doing something interesting before backing off just to avoid pissing off the fucking otaku who won't buy anything that puts them outside their comfort zone. "

.................And the series went on to be just that.

Oops, can't have protag be interesting char.

Nope, gotta have him be the same idiot lead like in every other series out there.

Gotta Flanderize all the other chars as well.

The guy who tried to stop me from figuring out who murdered my room mate? My former senpai? My lover? / whatever other excuse the chars had for hating that one dude they fought in Ep. 12?

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah he's a good guy!

Really!

F* Nananana.

..............I mean, I totes would. Chick is hot.
