Question to the frequent story writers...

Am I the only one.... or when you have a perfect soundtrack playing writing gets hella easier lololol.

Good soundtrack doesn't hurt. When I get an idea, things usually fall into place while I'm doing something else, and then I come back and write it.

Legend of the Mushishi, Strategist, and Assassin

Once upon a time.

There was a legendary tree called Mythos. It was a spectacle to look at. It had bright pink flowers and a beautiful field which was surrounded by a lake. It was also the biggest tree the villagers have ever seen. The vegetable that grew on it were great big pumpkins. The nearby villagers were amazed too see such big pumpkins weighing about 100 pounds each. "A tree that grows pumpkins" they thought to themselves. "Normally they grow on vines." Curiosity got the better of them and after a few bites, they realized this was the best pumpkin they have ever tasted. With this excellent discovery, they grabbed a few of them for a pumpkin pie feast. However, this blessing was also a curse. The next day after the feast. The souls of all the children seemed to have been seeped out of there bodies. The parents and various adults were outraged in the event. After much thinking, they figured out the problem. It had to be that tree Mythos. One of the villagers whose name was Marco yelled out, "Yea, it was that bastard Mythos." They grabbed pitchforks, torches, and shovels to take out this mighty tree in the center of the lake. When they showed up, the tree had grown bigger and they found numerous amounts of Crows on the tree peering into the hearts of the adults. It was a really weird sight to see. A gigantic tree surrounded by crows staring at them. Even though it was daylight, the eyes would glow to make the tree look alive. One brave soul went to attack only to find something move within the lake ready to counter attack. He stepped back and told the villagers, "we will have to leave it to someone else. Something eerie was amiss and waiting." After hearing rumors spread throughout the continent a legendary person with white hair showed up. Someone suitable for the title Best Guy of 2014.

Ginko - The Mushishi - The people of the village look startled as they saw a figure wanting to study the pumpkin tree. The leaders were happy because they have heard of this legendary Mushishi. He is a well-educated, amazing dude who is kind and caring. A person that truly understands the meaning of life and how other lives interact with that of the supernatural. Always making sure the deed is done before he sets foot on more travels. Perhaps, he could find some way for the people of the Village and the nearby Soul stealing tree to be able to interact. This was something not even his mushi-cigar would be able to chase away.

Ginko promised he will look into it and told the people to keep the children in there beds. He will see if he can return the souls to their bodies. He left shortly afterwards. As he started to approach the lake and saw the large tree, he saw the crows instantly staring at him. He then realized he could fall for a trap at any moment. He stood where he was at and looked towards the bottom of the lake. Just like the Villagers said, he found something really eerie move about. He didn't want to get in the water at all. Taking a sample of the waters could also mean bad luck for him. Then, he realized something, for everytime he walked, the Crows on the tree would watch him and move. Then, he realized something. The crows were the trees eyes. With that in mind, he left back to the village to study. He started to study and realized what kind of Mushi he was dealing with. A mushi that would fuse with a tree that had its roots close to a water source. In this case, it was the lake. Mainly because the tree on its back is its life source. Water is a valuable resource for everything in life. He realized then after a few more hours of reading, that it was a gigantic turtle mushi in the middle of the lake. It was not actually an island. The pumpkins it grew would steal the souls of the young because they contained more energy than that of drinking water steadily. The crows were part of this creature as well. For every soul it took, another crow would form on the tree to give it an extra pair of eyes. If you were in the lake, you would risk getting swallowed by the turtle. He then realized at the time, the Mushi turtle had little energy and used the pumpkins to fool people to eat them. Now, it gained sufficient energy to defend itself, and its territory. After figuring out what to do, a adult showed up and asked him if he could join the Mushishi in taking this beast out.

Shiroe - The Iron Strategist - A person who has perfected combat to every second. One that is always a step ahead of his opponents.

Ginko was impressed that a master strategist would come to the aid of the village. Shiroe then explained that the village was close to his kingdom of Proxima. He went to investigate before it got out of hand. For he has never heard a case like this before. Ginko started to trust the strategist and started to explain its weakness.

"In order to beat Mythos we will need beer" Ginko said.
Shiroe scratched his head in confusion, "what?"
"Just like some of us and Mushi, this one is really fond of Beer" he explained.

That night Shiroe (using his expert intellect) started doing the chemical processing of wheat and other materials on Ginkos list. Making sure there was perfect mass/chemical balance in the system to get a the right percentages of a product. It had been awhile since Shiroe had to do Chemical Engineering homework, but it had to be done.

After the village and Shiroe finished making 10 kegs of Beer, Ginko knew they were prepared to fight the beast. Loading the beer onto the cart, both Shiroe and Ginko pulled there way to the lake with the ingredients. Before they made it there however, a boy with white hair showed up wanting to help. He explained to them he was going to help them no matter what for a friend of his named Gon decided to eat one of those pumpkins when he was hungry. He told the story how Gon pretty much knew the wilderness inside out and claimed that nothing bad would happen eating these pumpkins. Ginko looked at the kid with a funny expression and told him if he couldn't stop him. Then, he can help as long as he listens. The boys name was

Killua - The Assassin - Ginko could see the expression on his face that this kid was no pushover. He looked serious and would do anything to help a friend in need.

They arrived at the tree. The Crows staring them in the eye again. All three of them froze in place. Shiroe gave a smiled and lifted his glasses up for the sun to reflect off them and give an epic look. Ginko beside him with the Mushi Cigar in his mouth and Killua with his hands in his pants like always. The stance of an epic trio. Even the Straw Hat Pirates would be impressed with there composure. Ginko gave a smirk and said, "Now the hard part, how are we going to move the island toward the booze. If we throw it in water, it will quickly dilute the mixture." Killua smiled and said, " Leave it to me ." Then sped off like the speed of lightning. Ginko and Shiroe gave a puzzled look at what just happened.

"Oi" Ginko said, "Is this boy human?"

With Killua moving faster than the speed of light. He took the attention of the crows. The crows then decided to follow Killua, but to no avail. Not one of them can catch him with his tremendous speed.

Ginko smiled and said, "well that just leaves us and the Mushi turtle now."
Shiroe smiled and said, "with the crows out of the way. I can use my support magic for you to walk on water Ginko"
"Do what???" Ginko replied

Shiroe didn't listen and immediately started to cast the spell. After it finished, he told Ginko to go ahead and try it. Ginko started to look at Shiroe and thought there was no way possible. Ginko thought to himself, "How can I walk on water now?". He stepped on the lake surrounding the Island Mushi turtle and realized the water felt as if it was concrete. Ginko then started to think that maybe the mushi-cigar is starting to have side affects and couldn't believe what was occuring. Ginko then realized in order to get the turtle out of the lake he would have to risk his own life. Grabbing a keg, he ran out to meet the turtle. Shiroe started to open the rest of the kegs to get the aroma a little bit stronger while Ginko leads the turtle to the kegs on the wagon. After walking a little close, the island started to shift. Ginko worried, started to run away; however, before he started to hightail out of there, he threw the keg he had at the turtle. With some of the drips going into the turtle and reaching the roots of the tree. The mushi got into a rage and started to swim towards Ginko wanting more to drink. Shiroe then cast one last spell to make the aroma a little stronger. Then, he too started to run. Just as he reached the cart, the mushi turtle was about to eat Ginko, but the aroma was too strong. It immediately went towards that and started to drink all the beer.

"Mission Accomplished" Ginko said while huffing and puffing.

Shiroe then decided to watch how the Mushishi would work and noticed the turtle fall asleep due to being drunk. Then, the crows falling Killua all landed into the ground one by one. Also, falling asleep. The trio then had to hike up the huge mushi turtles back to the tree in the middle of it. When they reached it, Ginko pulled out a match and burnt the tree to the ground. Then, the huge island turtle started to shrink to the size of a normal turtle and the crows vanished. Ginko grabbed the turtle and put it in a container where it will do noone anymore trouble. Shiroe asked Ginko, " You are going to keep it? We should dispose of it."

Ginko replied, " No, the turtle was living it's life just like we humans do. It had done nothing wrong in the first place, but try to survive. It still has a few seeds of the tree within its shell and it will try again to reach its full size." At that moment, Shiroe and Killua realized that it would have been wrong indeed to kill the Mushi and just to leave it to the expert. When they returned to the village, the kids all woke up and were playing around again. Killua went to see Gon in a nearby hut and saw him still sleeping, but knew he was ok. The villagers cheered for the three heroes and held a party where wine and cheese were everywhere with the sweet dances accompanied by them.

-First part of the series
-Something short and creative
- Hope you all enjoy. Tried to create a Mushi vibe kind of mixed with other vibes.
Believe I got most of the errors now
- tl;dr This is my Vote - Ginko, Killua, and Shiroe

Okay, 13 minutes is long enough. I'm going to try to get it under 1MB and see if that works.

Yeah, it's happened to me, too. Sucks when it happens.

Mine was out after a storm for a solid two days. ^^;

After much deliberation, I can only agree to sometimes work in coalition with the JLeague.

I'm not sure I can vote for blue-haired characters over everyone else, to this point.
