You would imagine that voting for your best guy is the optimal solution, but no, it is not.

You might also think that forming teams or what not is also optimal, to an extent "together we are strong" is a good concept, and I would say that is a start.

How many fans like AoT only to have their dreams crushed? Or when the devious works of Railgun. See, it is not who you want to win, it is who you want to lose.

Which would you want to bet on? 1 in 64 chance of winning or 63 in 64 chance of losing. I would take the 63.

Man you ruin my mood sometimes

Im not every talking about what you said exactly.

Ulric's Revenge

Chapter 10:

Dimly lit room. Squeaking noises resound at scattered intervals until the sun set and rose a number of times. One last flurry brought it all to an end.
Voice from the Shadows: "Woah...."

Ginko takes a mushi(?) off the floor, rolls it up, lights it with his fiery gaze, then inhales deeply.

VFTS: "Can I stay the night?"

Ginko: "Hmm, I don't know about that, I gotta get up early tomorro-"

The door was knocked down abruptly. A foot had broken the heavy locked door off its hinges.

Killua: "You can smile again~.....blah blah blah, blablablah~......You can fly away~.......nah nuh nnh nananah~.....You just try again~......."

The man in the shadows and Ginko looked at each other. Without even a single word or putting on some clothes, they ran for it in opposite directions. The man in the shadows just jumped through the wall and kept on going. Ginko took the fireman's pole to the lower floor. Neither of them looked back. Neither of them could afford it.

Killua: "....you just GO~ AWAY~!!!!"

VFTS: "Blargh-......"

A short bloodcurdling scream combined with an anguishing splatter. The silence that followed was enough to make a veteran of the world's nightmares like Ginko soil his pants. Ginko continued running in the nude, full speed. Turn after turn, swiveled and veered through the labyrinthian complex. He knew this day was coming. He had prepared for it for weeks. Hunter x Hunter had ended.....

Killua: "you can try!"

It was enough to make someone's hair turn white.

Killua: "you can fly!"

His voice was getting louder.

Killua: "you can CRY!!!"

He was out of time. Ginko started shaking.....
Ginko: "I say~...."

And a T-rex with laser feet showed up too......

-------------------------------------

Killua was reborn as an Chimera T-Rex, the most biologically advanced and powerful species on earth. He was the King of course.

--------------------------------------

Ulric awoke to find blood in his bed.
He tossed his antipsychotic meds in the trash.

Chapter End.

Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Chapter 5
Chapter 6
Chapter 7
Chapter 8
Chapter 9

TL;DR

Epic Story #2

Nice concepts, choice of settings, and method of winning. I'd say more, but I'm very pressed for time at the moment.

I know Killua was like this at one point, but I'm used to him being so sweet now. So, it's a little jarring to think about

The Light of Life

A darkness is breached by a single speck of light. The speck squirms forward, as if crawling out of a hole, and pours out as the front of a thin stream of flowing and glowing light. The stream widens along a straight line until it changes from a stream into a river. A line of the river picks itself up and kicks off into the space above the river, shedding its glow and taking on a teal tint in doing so. One after another, more lines follow the first, each taking on a different shape and shade than those before it, but all maintaining a soft color of nature. The shapes begin gathering together. Each links to one or more others. Some condense themselves to small, barely noticeable forms, while others stretch out and curve or bend at specific angles. Eventually, the shapes are fully linked together in the form of the outline of a human being with no distinguishing features other than a short gathering of white-gray atop its head and two sets of circles where eyes or perhaps eyelids would be, one seemingly filled in and just behind the other. The filling in the second set of circles begins gradually rolling up until it appears completely gone. At this moment, two globs of glowing light shoot out from the river far away from the human outline. The globs split apart into two identical forms: a group of human shapes, one smaller and glowing slightly more than those surrounding it. The larger shapes in each group flatten and spring up and into the smaller one, stretching its form out until it is larger than before, but smaller than its fellows. The two remaining shapes approach each other. A beam emerges from the center of each shape and extends out until it reaches the other halfway between the two shapes. The two beams connect, and a pair of thin lines immediately branch off from the connection. Each line hooks around a wrist of one of the two shapes and pulls it up and toward the other until the two interlock. At this, the glow around each hand intensifies and spreads along, over, and beyond the opposite shape, pulling it up and out, making it larger than before. The human shapes stand there hand in hand even as the glow peels off of them from the bottom up, leaving a grayness behind, and travels in the form of particles toward and into the white-grey gathering. The now gray shapes shrink and subsequently decompose, pieces of them falling back into the river and rejoining the flow. Globs continue to shoot out from the river and repeat the cycle enacted by those before them, but with some subtle differences. Some globs split into animal shapes; some of the shapes (human and animal) remain alone before being connected to a partner, and some remain alone for their entire existence; some are never connected to a partner. But all eventually experience their glow peeling off of them and flowing over to the human outline, and all become gray, decompose, and return to the river beneath them. The glowing particles within the human outline accumulate until they fill it in its entirety. Upon doing this, the particles begin changing color and taking on different textures until the outline becomes a pale man with white-gray hair wearing slacks and a button-down shirt. A glimmer catches the man’s eye. He turns to see a glowing human shape scooping a handful of light from the river. The shape carefully molds the shape into the form of a human boy with silver spiky hair wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes, but with chunks missing from various parts of his body. The man bends down, reaches into the river, and pulls out a bundle of light that immediately wraps into the thin shape of a cigar. He raises the cigar to his lips and blows several threads of light out to the boy. The threads weave themselves into the missing chunks of the boy’s body and take on the appropriate colors to make him appear whole. The man turns and sets foot down an unseen path. As he walks, particles of light continue to travel over to him and merge with the glow that surrounds him.

Ginko wins because he has gained and continues to gain incredible knowledge and understanding of people and the world.

*shrugs* I would say in a way that's not disrespectful, but I know you could counter that.

THIS IS MY VOTE

Ginko - smart and scholarly, but also not a man of inaction or unfamiliar with conflict.

Killua - accustomed to fighting, but also clever and capable of solid thought.

A tough match. What intellectual task shall I challenge them with? While they stand there patiently, I consider some vague possibilities, but nothing seems quite right.

Aha! I think, after hours of consideration. "Ginko, Killua..."

But wait, where's Killua? He's taken off using Godspeed. For all of how trained and special he is, he is still a kid, so he's run off to play.

Ginko wins by default, by simply sticking around long enough. (Of course now, after waiting for so long in a "No smoking please" room he's got a serious mushi infection...looks like he might need Killua's goodwill wishing to survive long enough to face another battle.)

Now I know you did not read my stories. He has digested what is known as the OP-OP Fruit (you do not watch One piece I think.....do you get the reference?), and he has a new car. He is friends with Dio Brando, and has saved the lives of countless people so far in my stories.

OP-OP is a real fruit. Have you met Law yet? He uses it. It basically makes someone OP in a set area. Kind of like Moral's "God" power in Hamatora.
