Do to the abysmal functionality of the "upgrade" I have canceled the renewal of my premium membership.

If you can dramatically improve it in 4 weeks I will renew. If not I am sure other websites would like my money.

Thanks for this, I have a Roku 3 but always watched CR on the PC. Now I have more options for my HD commercial-free viewing.

I can't even get it to link my account-- the site says everything's fine, but the app screen never updates. And yes, I've tried turning it off and turning it back on again.

But now I don't feel in such a rush to get it working, since it doesn't seem like it actually does work. And this is just after cancelling my free trial of Hulu Plus (half-way into a 23 minute episode and I'd already seen 7 ads), so it's really starting to feel like streaming video services are out to get me.

Plus, I'm also getting scan lines-- do I need to get up and fiddle with the ol' rabbit ears?

Even after searching using the cumbersome search function for a series so I could rewatch an old episode, every time I started the episode, it skipped right to the end. Really hoping there's going to be more improvement to this. Right now it just seems like a pain in the blah.

It's a good thing I have more than one option to watch other than the Roku in the bedroom because the loss of functionality in this "update" is inexcusable. The video quality isn't worth it to me since I had no issues with the quality in the old app. First world problems for sure, but that's the world I live in.

New roku app is terrible, its slow the controls do not fit the remote and it handles very poorly. also it is exetremely slow to load need the old one back please

I am very disappointed in this new Roku interface. We have lost most of the functionality that I consider necessary. This new interface cannot play previous episodes. You cannot re-watch the current episode from the beginning without using the kluge of rewinding it manually. The TV screen icons for your anime queue are a very poor substitute to the "box art" icons in the previous version.

At lest one of my multi-season series is broken. Before my Roku was infected by this interface I re-watched the first season of Sword Art Online. Now the queue for that anime is stuck on the preview and will not advance. With out access to the list of episodes, I do not see how I will be able to watch any more of the series.

While the possibility exists that this new interface was meant to be hawt, new and sexy, (IMHO) its lack of the basic functionality we had in the previous version makes it lame, useless and trash. Please consider rolling back to the previous interface. This version is just bad.

First, thank you for the update to HD. Something to look forward to when I get my first HDTV when money allows, eventually.

I even understand the use of commercials for free users but it seems broken. I backed out of a video (SAO ep7) during a commercial to watch it later and when I did go to re-watch it, the commercials wouldn't stop playing and load the show. Finally after backing out of the app then going back to the video several times with an enormous amounts of commercials, it graced me with loading the program.

I agree with most of the people who already posted here that the interface is not user friendly to say the least. I'm not sure that I could add anything that hasn't already been said. I can only hope that you take the feedback and work out something that would fix most of these issues.

really miss the old app...

The HD upgrade is nice. The app "looks" good. Navigation is a nightmare. Roku has some standards for navigation within the apps, but you've thrown those out and made up your own. It's like designing a windows app where you have to left click on a button to activate it. Simply bad UI design.

Is there a way to make this more user friendly? I loved watching chrunchyroll on my roku before. I could with ease navigate back and forth to find shows and specific episodes. Now, with this new process I can't seem to find a show unless I already know the name of it. Also, I use to be able to find specific points in an episode more easily.

What happened to "Resume Episode"?...Now, I find myself continuously holding the rewind button to find a certain point and then fast forwarding to get to it. It reminds me of when I use to have a freakin walkman and I was using a cassette tape.

I'm not the most tech savvy person in the world...Can somebody help help a sista out? Can I undo the HD option and use the old Roku function?

I agree 100%. The app is a good start, standardize the navigation and look add adding in some of the old functionality.

Oops, only read the first two messages in this post area than I posted. Now I see I'm not the only one having issues.

Please fix these issues so we can continue to enjoy Roku on our TV's with or without HD.

i absolutely hate the new crunchyroll lay out on the roku.
