Big Mistake The old layout was perfect, why couldn't you just add HD. Its just a look alike of the Xbox's app. Very Disappointed....

After a few days with the new Roku app I feel I have gotten used to it.I'm still adjusting to how the Que works but like the updated section.

So, to keep flogging this dead equine...

Yes, the new app is pretty. Thanks for that, I guess... however, it's also pretty broken, compared to the old app, as many others in this thread have detailed. If you want happy customers, rolling back to the old app would be the best/fastest thing... barring that, a front-page announcement of "we hear your concerns", with a schedule for releasing a newer app with restored functionality, would be my minimum expectation.

New app has almost no functionality compared to the old app, if I wanted an Xbox I would buy one. It won't fast forward, won't go episode I'm on makes me start over of I do manage to get to an older episode. In general it's really pissing me off. You hired an old Apple store employee or an old microsoft tech assist didn't you?

I absolutely HATE the new app. It's not user friendly at all, and I've been trying to give a chance since Friday and still hate it.

Yes, please give us the old Roku app back, and just make the eps HD.

The new App honestly is not that great at all. It is useful in seeing whatever the next episode of a series on your queue is, but I sometimes rewatch episodes, quite often actually, and the new app requires me to search for the overall anime for it. The new App looks nice, but as far as ease of use goes it has become more of a hindrance. I would at least like the ability to choose between selecting next episode in my queue or just go to the anime episode directory of it.

App update = has only one and a half good points to it, and everything else about it is a detriment to the older version.

Goods: 1 Looks pretty .5 can see next episode of a queued show insignificantly easier. I guess I can argue that the selection of viewing anime and drama is slightly more convenient now, but needing to use the play/pause button for that is not exactly user friendly for that, and even then it is still a bit clunky.

Bad: All the rest, at least IMO, and apparently many others.


Before the update of this App I was honestly quite happy to hear an update was coming... I was not expecting quality to be lowered for the update. The HD is nice, but other than that...

A note the crunchyroll management.

there are many other option out there for us, the paying customers to chose from:

Netflix, Hulu, funimation, etc.

but for the past few year my much prefer method was crunchyroll, because it had by far the superior ROKU app. for watching my favorite videos.

this new app is making me reconsider that decision. the new update has none of the functionality that made the old app great.

I also find it very disappointing that after reading through the entire forum this after noon the there has been little to no response from cruchyroll to address the complaints and concerns of the people the make its service possible (ie. the people that pay the bills).

please quickly fix the issues or return to the old app. or I may no longer be one of your paying customers (as I said there are many other choices)

can you stop advertising this shit every time i visit this site. i pay you money every month. i don't need to be advertised to. can i just pay you money and watch anime without the bullshit? there are plenty of sites i can do it for free.

"I hate it please go back to the old channel" is not really helpful and prolly not gonna happen, peeps. Saying "I'm a paying customer" and using that as some kind of a threat if you don't get your way probably isn't super effective either. But whatever makes you feel better.

I have confidence the issues will be addressed. They'll fix the problems with the queue. In the meantime, I'll be watchin' some simulcasts. The video quality on Roku is now superb! Love it.

You have to hold the fast forward button down, a simple button press like before won't do it.

It also accelerates the pace of fast forwarding the longer the button is held down, so be prepared for that.

Supposedly they are going to read the above thread and listen to our complaints. Hopefully they will also do something about this broken app that they forced us to upgrade to.

O.o to many adds on the videos and also there are double adds in the begging and middle of the video before it starts and wile it is playing please fix this. and also wile playing the video trying to rewind the video to see what you miss it skips to the next EP. and also the previous EP.

the update looks sleek and new looks nice
