Premium user: It would been nice if the old queue interface was in this update because u only have one episode of the anime series it was easier to navigate your queue in the last update. it takes to long to navigate to the anime interface just to get the anime title in alphabetical order to rewatch the series or certain episodes this update is just broken they need to fix the queue interface to the way of last update it was much easier

I watch Crunchyroll on my Roku because my computer does not have a powerful enough graphics card to play streaming videos. It is now unusable; please give me the old interface back, so it actually works again. Just to start, having to go through multiple steps to locate and play the previous episode instead of just scrolling through the list is a serious pain. The help screen is worthless, the only way I found out how to do most of the things that I normally do was by reading other users descriptions in this forum. Are we going to be refunded half of our monthly fees because the app is now twice as hard to use?

This update is a giant disappointment!!!!

Please give us back the old interface. Your paying customer deserve more respect then you've shown with this update.

Does anyone know if there is a way to go back to the previous version? I really prefered d the simpler design of the original.

I am also a paying customer and like many have said before, although this new version looks prettier, it is far less functional. The biggest is not being able to select any episode I want of something in my queue. I often leave a good series in my queue just so I can go back and look at a particular episode. The queue for me is now useless in that respect. Not being able to see what frame I am going to in fast forwarding/ rewinding is also make much more difficult to find a particular scene that I want to review. Adding/removing a series from the queue is also much more difficult.
I would have to say that the change makes the roku channel not much better than the Funimation roku channel (which I always thought was pretty pathetic). An update to a ruku channel that actually removes very useful features makes no sense at all. Bad job Crunchyroll.

Did anybody actually try using this before pushing it live? The queue is completely worthless and impossible to use.

This update is extremely disappointing. It's the exact application on the Playstation network that wouldn't let me choose a genre to search through. Now I have to hop on my laptop to find a show I might be interested in, and then type it into the search. The update may look prettier, but it is not user friendly.

crunchroll roku update now FAIL
25 mins trying to get into roku app to select anime and all I get is something went wrong update connection Netflix works (i only use 2 outside services Netflix and Crunchyroll and I pay a premium for crunchyroll) not happy
when I do get in queue is useless as I generally marathon series and have no way to change episodes even after watching queued episode
Going into anime in main selection screen crashes out to main roku channel screen and leaves roku memory messed up requiring a reboot before crunchyroll app starts again sucessfully
search is a pain as I have to have the computer on to get spelling from queue
will crunchyroll make a zip of the old app available so I can sideload it?
now going into a rant

was this update an attempt to get paying customers to leave crunchyroll?
This is either a management decision to cut costs (by having the same front end on all the apps) or your app developers just dont care
I enjoyed having a legal way to watch anime why are you making it such a frustrating process?
I run a linux desktop machine which is not quiet which is why I run crunchyroll on the roku I have a chromecast but the android app is just as bad but at least it connects when the roku wont which suggests that crunchyroll has a separate network frontend for roku and that the network is under full load or completely misconfigured.
Roku are typically slow to upgrade bad app versions (from plex it generally takes about 2 weeks to make it through roku testing)
I will be having a think about my all access pass If I cant watch what I want to when I want to what the point of paying for it
Also why does SAO2 keep coming up in my history as I have not watched any of this season I prefer to marathon these series

I agree. Having to exit the Crunchyroll app and relaunch the app to see the next episode is unacceptable. Also not being able to use the left/right direction buttons to skip forward/back via thumbnails makes it very hard to skip by the intro and ending credits on each episode. I can no longer access other episodes in my queue other than the current episode.

Please put the old app back or at least make an option to access both Crunchyroll apps. The previous app worked great and it was my favorite experience from an app on the Roku. Now I am investigating other means to watch my anime.

Crunchyroll, please listen to your paying customers.

Press the pause button to get a pop-up menu, then go to the Anime icon. From there you can select by "popular" or "simulcast", or "updated" or "alphabetical". Within Alphabetical, the forward fast and reverse buttons move you a whole letter at a time.
