Am I the only one having issues with the new update? The image is frozen in place, then I have to go back and it will happen again. I have to exit the whole application and start over again. It is really frustrating....

Have all the really bad issues with the app been fixed yet? I've been pondering about getting a roku.

Nope! Roku app is still a mess! And CR has gone silence and I don't think it's ever gonna fix the problem. You can get Roku for Funimation or Netflix, but forget about CR. On top of that CR has the worse and most arrogant customer service I've ever experienced in my whole life.

I had zero problems until thus week. Now it's not playing on my phone, either, so I wonder if the problem isn't much larger than just a buggy app.

Do you have your Roku linked to your CR account?

If so, you may want to try deactivating it on this page and re-linking it.

I am unable to stream CR on my Roku 3 since last night. It keeps getting stuck at 33% buffering or I get the error message "cannot load video" or it will play 10 seconds and then crash. Funimation, Netflix, Hulu Plus all stream fine on my Roku. I'm also unable to get CR to stream on my iPad Air.

Which model Roku do you have? I'm not getting any commercials on my Roku 3 (and I assume most people aren't on their systems, else we would see a rash of complaints).

Assuming you haven't tried it, the only other suggestions I can come up with are to power cycle the Roku, and if that doesn't work, remove and re-install the app.

I'm not sure what's going on. My episodes keep stopping in the middle of playing and I keep getting an error message saying there's a problem with my connection or account. Sometimes I only get audio and the video stops, then the whole thing stops. All my other Roku 3 applications play perfectly fine without interruptions, no problems with Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, etc. When I try to resume an episode I get stuck at 33% and then I get the error message. I've rebooted/power cycled all my devices, unlinked and relinked my account. I sent an email to support, but we'll see if they even get back to me. I hope someone will address this because I'm actually paying for no commercials.

A "check server status" feature on the website would be nice.
A "known bugs" list would be great too, or even better, visibility to a bug tracking system so, we know what's being worked on and what isn't.
A "report a bug" submission form would be beneficial. This way the developers would have all the information they would need, such as, version of Roku, version of the CR application, steps to reproduce, screenshots, etc. Wouldn't this help the debugging process become more efficient?
A feature request form with the ability for users to vote would be great. Even if it's in the form of a poll or survey.

*sigh*

Still can't figure out navigation within an episode. If I press the wrong button (from years of habit) then it either starts the episode over or goes to the next one. But since it has commercials (I'm not subscribing) then it takes like 2 minutes to figure out where I am, and then I try to go to where I wanted, the commercials start up and I still don't know where I'm at.

I just wanted to watch Fist of the North Star.

These would all require CR to actually care about the current state of the app and their customers. They don't. They think they've got gold on their hands (here's a hint guys: sniff that "gold" and see what it really smells like), and they couldn't give a "gold" what their customer base actually thinks about it. They've gone totally silent, they are not going to fix it, and when my subscription runs out this week, I doubt I'm renewing it. Netflix keeps adding new anime, after all, and their app is actually usable.

I got a reminder in my inbox to renew my subscription. My first reaction was "LMAO!!!" I sent a nice reply saying to go f*** themselves. I don't know if anyone at CR would even care to read the reply. Anyhow, I'm now supporting Funimation. They have some nice titles that CR didn't care to license for north America.

This would be good if it worked. I got it through Roku, but when I accessed it I got commercials. I have contacted Crunchyroll (2-3 months ago and about 3 contacts), but no one has answered. I have nothing but rotten apples for Crunchyroll. The customer services is no where to be found and it is as if customer service ignores our requests. I now have to go through Roku to get this resolved, but you know the pointing finger drill. I would caution others to be aware of the Cruchyroll customer service. It really sucks. I had this problem before. I had to go through my payment people to stop the automatic payments. Of course, Crunchyroll's customer service was non-respondent. After doing this, I got reimbursed. I had hoped they would have improved after a year, but it is the same. Buyer beware.
