The reason I paid for premium+ was specifically for manga and drama access. Now that these are available in premium, I'll be downgrading my membership. A sincere thank you to CR for lowering the cost to access the same content.

Glad to hear, but what about non-premium members tech support. Iv emailed support multiple (over 3 months ago) and never got a single response. My inbox is still messed up and its annoying. I can understand prioritizing your members but 90+ days with no response on multiple messages is pretty bad..

So as most international users I already complained, and I have a question I hope someone can help me clear, I don't know if I'm overthinking or simply showing my lack of knowledge , but is it really a good thing the merging of the membership? what I mean is, is it a good thing to have anime, manga, drama all in one membership at the same price? won't it hurt how much money is going to be available to get content or something like that?

But you have to wait till your paid subscription is over before you can downgrade your membership, right?

Even as a US Resident, it still feels really crappy to be a ''Premium+ member'', because I specifically signed up for the Drama and Manga content, then about 100 dramas' licenses expire and now Premium members can access manga and drama content as well? Which is great, especially for Premium members but, all these ''new'' perks for Premium+ members are mostly superficial.. Should've stayed with my regular anime membership. Well, at least the exclusive contests/raffles sounds interesting.

To all non US subscribers (and some US ones): Premium + is not a particularly good deal unless ones orders frequently from the CR store.
Free shipping on some items is the only real benefit that this level of membership is offering and is being offered only because not that many people will use it. (Amazon loses money on prime but makes it up in volume.). And, if one thinks about it, it was the only thing that CR had to offer and I pretty much expected it.

I work for a company that does a lot of international shipping. It's a hassle and it's not cheap. I would not expect CR to do unless there were regional shipping centers and I doubt that could happen.

While I understand your disappointment, don't make the assumption that this is a big bonus for all US subscribers.

As a company, I'm sure they've thought about this strategically before making the decision to merge memberships. I speculate that if they make anime, manga, and drama all available for Premium members, then theoretically the number of subscriptions would increase. All paid members having drama access probably wouldn't hurt their revenues as much as we may think.

And IMHO, I don't believe that for most people Premium+ membership offers much more to justify the $5USD difference from Premium. But I'm willing to pay for it because: 1) I like consuming content legally when I can, and 2) I'm a huge proponent of Crunchyroll's mission. They took on a considerable feat working with Japanese companies on licensing to bring content to the US.

There's a lot to consider when you're trying to work with foreign companies to bring their "stuff" outside of the native country. Not sure how these Japanese companies handle licensing/rights (if they even offer worldwide rights or if they force CR to negotiate per region/country), but I'd like to think CR is working on it.

Just my two cents. I work in a global publishing company, and even working with different branches in different countries (all in the same company) gets difficult! So there's probably still a lot for CR to do before making content more widely available everywhere.
