Why the actual hell are CR linking to One Piece HD on the European homepage? We can't watch it here, that seems downright misleading...

Having this in the massive scrolling box on the main page is good to get people's attention, but a horrible tease to anyone outside of the U.S. and Canada.

I haven't watched the arc yet, but does the Water 7 arc get an HD remastered edition as well? Or is it already HD?

I wish One Piece (as well as DBZ) would have gotten the same treatment Yu Yu Hakusho did instead of the cropping. I really don't mind 4:3 since that is how it was originally made. I don't know the entire process, but it seems like it should be possible to keep something 4:3 while also enhancing the picture. Basically the tops and bottoms were cut off we are getting a pan and scan presentation that looks really good.

I'll take the good with the bad, I guess. It looks fantastic, but it's obvious how much picture was cut off just by looking, too.

Of course, it's possible, you can even keep the video in 16:9 format without cropping anything.

Basically, you just need to resize the original video to 1440x1080 and add a black border of 240 pixels to the left, and one to the right.

1440 + 240 + 240 = 1920 so you still have your 1920x1080 (16:9) video for compatibility purpose, while keeping the original ratio (4:3) with the added black borders.
