RSS Feed for Crunchyroll Manga
![]() |
I couldn't find an official RSS feed for manga chapters on the site, and the unofficial one in the forums last updated almost a year ago, so I made one in a few hours.
http://utils.senpai.moe/ It should update every half hour; tweet at me (@Nosgoroth or @SenpaiChart) if it stops updating, or it starts spouting nonsense, and I'll fix it. You can see the code by yourself here. Status: Not working ==================================================== 2018/Oct/17: Feed generation failing, will investigate 2017/Dec/04: Added a link to the Github repository 2017/Nov/30: A fix has been applied and the feed should be updating again. 2017/Nov/03: An automatic server OS update has broken the script, I'll fix it as soon as I can. 2017/Jan/08: 2017 and still alive. This was a triumph. 2016/Mar/10: It keeps chugging along more reliably than I actually expected. Nice. 2015/Sep/11: All systems nominal. 2015/Sep/09: Feed generation failing, probably related to general Manga section downtime. 2015/Jul/09: Initial publish |

Wow thanks so much for this!
I can't believe there's still no official way to queue manga. Glaring omission indeed! Btw, out of curiosity does anyone else use feedly? |

Blessings be upon you, sempai. I'm still voting for Crunchy to actually come up with a real watch list (maybe with a custom RSS feed??), but this will do me for now.

I wonder why Cruchyroll refuses to have any type of bookmark/queue for manga? I know CR isn't Amazon, by why add new content without thinking about basic usability first?

======================================================
ERROR ALERT: Feed generation has been failing since a few hours ago, so the feed is not updating. It appears that the unofficial API is not returning valid JSON or something like that, I'll have a look at it when I get home later today. ====================================================== If I'm understanding you correctly, you don't see item titles for RSS elements? If so, I can't replicate the issue, I'm seeing title tags for all elements in the feed, both in Feedly and in the xml source. What reader are you using? kmaconi wrote: I wonder why Cruchyroll refuses to have any type of bookmark/queue for manga? I can only think of two things: either their developer resources are stretched thin, or they don't expect this feature to help return a profit so it's low priority. Or both. Either way, it sucks. |

There are reports in CR's Help forum of the manga part of CR being down for maintenance, so I imagine that's why there were/are problems with the feed updating. Seems like the server was down. |

(Relevant link: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-918383/500-internal-server-error-when-loading-manga-page ) Yep, I guess that's it then, thanks. I'll wait for that issue to go away and then I'll see if the feed works, which it probably should. |

The updates for the "simulpubs" seem irregular and frequently late. It is always disappointing to see that Crunchyroll is several chapters behind on something. Another thing I feel it is necessary to point out is that the manga lineup page is nearly blank and a year outdated.

Putting the "pro" in procrastinate.

I really like Crunchryoll but many of their manga either aren't up to date or haven't been updated since they launched. Months ago. |

Thanks for this! It's crazy that this isn't available on the site.

I really think Crunchyroll should start thinking about genre searches, I would love to focus more on my favorite genres
