I remember seeing studies that said people do enjoy movies more if they're told any twists/spoilers in advance. I think it was to avoid being pulled out of the experience by having to process unexpected information. But personally I want those chances to make up my mind; even if I enjoy the movie less the total experience feels like a net gain.

Edit: Finished Shana S3. They really stretched a lot of episodes out of it.

Recent revelation: The reason I can adopt older women as my younger sisters is that in reality, older women are really just elderly imoutos. How brilliant!

FMP is an anime I wish I liked, it looks like so much fun.

I'm a little curious about the general existence of Tekkaman Blade. It came out in 1992 but it's the most 80s anime you can imagine so I guess it was kind of a last hurrah? Mostly speeding through it to see if anything interesting develops, and to get to the OVAs. Most of it hasn't been too eye-catching but occasionally there are cuts with richer details.

Though I bet the secret is one of the animation studios just dunked all their finished cels in vats of Maybelline.

As somewhat said, I was meaning the TTGL spoiler dropped in the 2018 Character Contest. I'm not gonna push TTGL on you anymore, but some day Auroraloose will whip out on the table her fat document and show just how pregnant of thought TTGL can be and you might actually read that. (Hopefully it won't take too much outside reading for most to understand all of it.)

I see I missed a few things.

Man, there are too many directions to go with this, if that's the game we're playing. Though I prefer to be more natural about it, if you know what I mean.

But oh: you're right, Shenseiken — I'd likely ease people into it instead of giving it to them all at once. There's no point in sharing something like that if people can't understand it. Gurren Lagann needs several essays, so the way I have it envisioned is that the first post would be an easier-to-absorb survey of what I'm about: having fun using anime to philosophize and talk about how we absorb art. So I'd touch on a few anime I hold dear (Gurren Lagann among them), throw in a dash of Kierkegaard, and tease the rest.

I am interested in reading it. Thanks for originally recommending Tenga Toppa Langan Gurren earlier, Aurora-san. It helped with a particularly bad part of my recent depression. I really appreciate it.

And.... it's Valentine's Day tomorrow, my imoutos! Who has plans? I had to call out on going to Katsucon due to the debilitating condition of post tuition poverty. Oh, the regrets.

I am just going to stay home, pour a cup of tea...watch some romance anime to cheer me up, maybe some hentai and doujinshi. All after work.

If you wonder if there's any romantic anime this season. For Valentine's Day, I recommend Domestic No Kanojo for a feel good romance.

I had thought over what I said and felt I didn't like it. I joke around with some of my friends and at times can be quite crude. While I had intended to be humorous and hopeful over your review's dominance, I believe I was probably too familiar, and at the very least I think I got too explicit for a message board standard concerning another member - specially in the explanation to PV. You've said that at times you may debase yourself, but it's quite another thing for someone else to do it for you. I hope I didn't offend or make you or anyone else as uncomfortable as I made myself. Whether you found it funny or not, I apologize. I fixed the links and I'll try to follow this Shimo/Hajimete topic to relate.

It felt only slightly uncomfortable — not enough to concern me at all. I was happy just to roll with it myself; as you can see, I also enjoy this kind of humor. But you're right: it probably went a little far, and I'm glad you walked it back because I likely need to be more careful in the exact same ways.

And dang, it's hard to take what I said in that Index thread seriously now that we've seen the third season.

School, then coming home to get Valentines gifts from waifus in mobages, crack open Re:Zero Part 2 for Rem goodness, while having my Rem figures and body pillows around me. Probably gonna enjoy some VR too. Gonna send this expected last Valentine's Day single out full-weeb.

I'm getting back to S;G0 in commemoration of Rintarou's brutal assassination at the hands of fanatical campers.
