And.... it's Valentine's Day tomorrow, my fellow forum-goers! Who has plans? I had to call out on going to Katsucon due to the debilitating condition of post tuition poverty. Oh, the regrets.

School, then coming home to get Valentines gifts from waifus in mobages, crack open Re:Zero Part 2 for Rem goodness, while having my Rem figures and body pillows around me. Probably gonna enjoy some VR too. Gonna send this expected last Valentine's Day single out full-weeb.

If you wonder if there's any romantic anime this season. For Valentine's Day, I recommend Domestic No Kanojo for a feel good romance.

And you call yourself an imouto lover...

Ah, are you also partisan to the ending theme of Wataten? One of my favourites! If it were up to me, every ED and OP of cute girls anime would be sung by the voice actresses.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. You can spend the day with friends too! Unless they're busy making out. That's probably not good for either of you (...I think).

I caught up on the season 2's of Rail/Dex, but haven't started the new one yet. I hope they didn't make a mess of Shirai.

I wanted to respond to your other comments too, but I wanted to show some sincerity first. I stand by my KEIJO!!!!!!!! ridiculousness as I was inviting it myself, and I'm certainly no prude. I gave my honest view Aoba. I thought it flew right in line with the spirit of the tail - even if a bit too heavy-handed. :P(<--- I also prefer that version.)

Doing the review in stages sounds like a great idea. Not just because I don't want to feel like an idiot sandwich(something else I want to sit down with) - because I do want to dive more into those ideas too at some point, but I also want to be able to drop your link to those interested without looking like a joker. It seems like you've already thought of it though.

It's great. I think Noa is the stand out in the ED too. I think Asobi Asobase has to be my most favorite recent example of this - even with very different results.

Make out with friends then? I would love to make out with my friends. It feels so transgressive, so wrong, so...taboo.

"But we are friends, unrelated but somehow s big brother like figure PV!"

"We can be more than friends, some female friend who is like a sister to me but unrelated."

"Isn't that slightly wrong in a slightly taboo reeking of incest sort of way unrelated but somehow a big brother like figure PV?!"

"I always loved you, my female who is like a sister to me but unrelated."

"...I love you too, unrelated but somehow...Onii-chan like figure PV! Let's make out!"

I tried clicking on all those links, but some didn't work. I thought you were playing a prank on me by coloring them orange. How could you?!

My reaction .

You think Noa is the standout too?! (Though I am visibly disturbed by my burgeoning attraction to Mya-Nee. She's actually really cute. )

One of the best I heard was likely Satania's VA in the Gabriel Dropout opening. It was both comedic, heartfelt, and perfectly symbolized her role in the series.

Way to take my voyeurism joke and completely reinvent it in PV design.

It doesn't work? It seems to work for me even in your quote. I'll put in the box. There was only one.

I do remember Gabriel Dropout having really fun OP/EDs. I had to go watch it again. I really enjoyed the different bgm themes when the angels and demons were talking. It was so simple, but satisfying and managed to make decent music. I think Satania was everyone's favorite too. Though I can't say I'm surprised with your choice either. Satania felt like the naughty little sister of the show.

Edit: Okay, decent might have been a bit much credit. Still, something that could be understood as musical.

Happy Valentines day. I will be spending it with my favorite harem.

Why choose 1 character to be your girlfriend, when you can have pretty much the entire cast of the show.

And then I'll be sad, not because I spent Valentines Day alone. But because I'm old and it's my birthday right after.

Gendo is never alone, he always has Fuyutsuki to light his candles.

Edit:

There is no God
Wonderful new World

... from the s;g0 opening reminds me of some old OP or ED, but I can't put my finger on it.

More like I've just voluntarily ignored romance and making new relationships for the past couple years since I should be studying abroad in Japan starting in the fall, no unexpected events occurring. I'm not a hit it and quit it person, so not gonna bother with relationships in a country I don't intend on staying in

Apparently there's something going on with the Wataten threads on /a/ where a bunch of people keep calling Noa a slut and prostitute... I'm utterly confused there

Not to third-party this, but Kuroko barely has any focus in all parts of Index 3 so far, and I don't think she really gets much in the World War 3 arc that finished the series up here. Also, be prepared to have to most likely go look up info on what happens in season 3 if you want to understand stuff as they did a big rush job on it this time

New movie supposed to come out sometime. But I'm interested in when they make more show, so we can get to some of the cool stuff I've read in the manga. I wanna finally see Levi's super magus mode

I will be spending V-Day with all my mobage waifus (Unicorn already gave me chocolate in Azur Lane, and was adorable in doing so <3 ) while surrounded by my Rem merch and watching Re:Zero Part 2 that I got today. Alpha male AF

I was planning on staying home with my waifus, but my pitchfork hasn't seen blood in the longest time. Calling a fictional 8 year old a slut and a prostitute...so much hate. Not like Hana or anything is selling their dignity for food.

Though I take it you may try the dating scene in Japan? Apologies for assuming your ethnicity, but Caucasian males tend to be quite popular. It may help that I only been told this through the military men stationed there, who comprise most of the long-time foreigner population in some areas.

Fear not; I was referring entirely to the part involving me. Even then, as I said, I wasn't actually bothered myself. Let's just wrap it up by saying what I bring into the world is my business.

Besides, that is precisely the way one should engage KEIJO!!!!!!!!; not to do thus would be borderline blasphemy.

They haven't as of yet. I don't think it'd be possible, because the two things destroying Index III are its obsession with having every girl engage in stereotypical fanservicey interactions with Kamijo and its attempt to shove as much story into as few episodes as possible. As Shirai's character is already solidly established there's little the latter can do to ruin her. And her status as Lesbian Teleporter makes her immune to the former.

Also, she hasn't really shown up, which is a shame.

It's been brewing for a while, but I really don't know when I'll get to it. It might be a while longer. Though talking about it does make it more likely to happen...

So... Alita. It's modestly okay.

I keep writing more and erasing it, then writing more and deleting it again, so I'm done trying to add anything else.

Edit: Oh but there was a scene that I expect might awaken some android chassis fetishists, which is a classification of individual I never considered before this but now that I have I'm sure it definitely must exist.

Edit: Blu-ray. Blue Rei. Lol.

Sakuta is getting ripped apart on the CR Picks... Wow.

Shirase deserves every ounce of credit for her dominance over Sakuta so if that is the sole reason, I can fully understand that. Still, it's weird to see Mai getting support but not Sakuta.

Despite watching Universe and enjoying it immensely, Shirase never stood out to me. I wonder why. Hinata and Mari seemed to be the duo I focused on, so it was probably my lack of awareness that made me overlook the quality of Shirase. I know it was her sole dream that was the catalyst for the show, so it's kind of odd I couldn't really connect with her character. I guess the perk of participating in this tourney, is learning about other peoples' reasons for liking a character. The more you learn, the broader your perspective.

My intention is to live and work in Japan after university, and part of my study abroad time will be trying to make connections to get a job as an English teacher (as in hired by a school, not through an agency like JET). The university I'd be at, Nanzan, is actually a private Catholic university with schools from elementary through university, so if I can make good connections there, I'm hoping that something could maybe blossom from that.

So yeah, gonna try dating in Japan while studying abroad. And yeah, I'm white I'm not expecting that to be a magical pick-up card, though, as just as I don't want a Japanese woman just to have that title, I don't want someone to want me just because they want a white guy. I partly want to find a Japanese woman as I need to introduce some non-white into my bloodline for my future kids' sake, as my ethnic background is purely white (Irish, German, smidge of French-Canadian), and that's starting to take its toll on genetics, and I've had enough medical problems that I'd prefer to lower my kids' chances of getting things that are more common among whites. And since I find the average Japanese girl cuter than the average girl of most other ethnicities (although Korean girls are pretty darn cute too, but my brain can't do their writing system, plus their language is too tongue-twistery for me), it's just a simple choice considering I love the culture too.

From things I've read, most of the "military men" (who also cause a lot of problems, too) pretty much just pick up what amounts to the skanks at the bars where it's known the US military goes to. So it's like how some girls in America have "jungle fever" (crude phrase, but whatever). Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the guys on those bases have ended up running down the same trails once or twice.

I'm also not gonna get hung up on anime and the like for a partner. It'd be cool if they like it, but if she doesn't, it doesn't matter as long as she's accepting that I enjoy it. Probably wouldn't be watching anywhere near as much, as I'll be busy learning a language hardcore while studying abroad, and I'd have a full-time job as a teacher and hopefully a father someday after university. I'm just aiming for a simple life, really, nothing fancy, and just find my prospects better for me, my health, and my future children's health in Japan.

Whoops, forgot about this and am now double posting

For me, Lieselotte and Levi are at the top. Mira used to be at the bottom, but has surprisingly climbed a decent ways due to her role in the manga. She just takes a while to defrost, and the anime didn't give her that time. Arin is probably at the bottom for me, with Akio and Lilith above her, and then Yui and Mira kinda tied in the middle there.

My friend has worked in Japan for the better part of the decade. From his experience and what he tells me about guys he’s worked with, when it comes to dating foreigners Japanese women seem to more likely look for a short time fling than a long time relationship unfortunately. There are of course precedents of successful marriages, but just take that as a cautionary tale.

Korean writing system is easy, I don’t speak or understand Korean but I can read it, I learned it in an hour, like 10 years ago and I haven’t forgotten it to this day. I personally don’t like Korean girls though because they wear a shitton of makeup, the guys occasionally do too.
