The only two anime I've watched weekly this season are Mob and Mononokean. I'm going to catch up with at least Neverland and Dororo within the next few days but I doubt either of them will be better than Mob Psycho 100. Season two has been amazing from start to finish.

The buzz for Mob Psycho has been downright intimidating.

Have you seen the second season? If I remember correctly you watched a few episodes once but you didn't like the beginning.

I'll give the recent DAL episode one thing, and that's that for the shortest of split seconds it made me consider that maybe there was a slight, very negligible possibility that Origami could, under certain circumstances be mistaken to be, if viewed in the right way, on par with Kotori.

Best girl:

Miss Eponymous has had a couple good showings recently, but one was only half her. I'm still Chika leaning even if the spotlight seems to be moving away from her. Honorable mention to Endro!'s Mao, Kemurikusa's Ritsu, and Promised Neverland's Krone.

Best show: (that I've seen) Promised Neverland.

I haven't seen Mob 102 yet. Been saving to binge the season and it may likely change my vote. Kemurikusa has been a nice story of wonder and adventure. Kaguya-sama has made me smile the most.

I got far enough to be interested (end of episode 3) but I haven't watched more of it yet.

Why the hell is literally every anime getting a sequel lately?

r/anime is full of new trailers and key visuals. Was there a con in Japan everyone announces at or something?

Re:Zero 2 announcement and key visual, Cells at Work 2 announcement and trailer, Evangelion date for Netflix (June 21), Oregairu 3 trailer, Danmachi 2 trailer and key visual, Re:Zero OVA trailer, Rascal Senpai movie key visual, Saenai Heroine movie trailer, Made in Abyss movie key visual, Euphonium movie trailer, Prisma Illya OVA trailer and release date (June 14), Lord El-Melloi trailer... even more on the second page lol. So much stuff.

I think there was some kind of event this past week (I could be wrong) where they announce a lot of things like new anime and new trailers, but I don't think anybody was expecting this many major announcements.

Edit: Actually it's AnimeJapan that just started today and will last for a few more days so there are probably a couple more announcements coming.

Well cool. I don't remember there being such a blitz like this before.

Also the opening cutscene for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice covers enough material for like 5 novels. It's like oh okay this is the story... no that story is over, ok this will be the story... no that story is over now too, and we're still going, ok this will be the story for sure, ok nope we just skipped 20 years and more stuff happened, ok so this is the story this time...

By the time the video got to gameplay I feel like I'd permanently lost a degree of trust in people.

edit:

Best OP this season is going to be a deathmatch, jeez.

edit:

I shall go out this early morning and purchase a chicken.
It is 26 degrees outside.
Why Earth-chan.

edit:

Should I direct more upsettedness at Netflix's NGE recasting controversy or their music direction for the trailers?

edit:

I return frozen with my frozen chicken hazzah lol.

Sometimes I wonder if the only reason why Netflix is still successful is because of the lack of competition (worldwide). There are so many frustrating things about Netflix that I would happily subscribe to a different streaming service if there was an alternative. But there is no real alternative other than Amazon and Amazon is equally frustrating.

Happy to see that Re:Zero season 2 was finally announced . I even thought about picking up the LN again now that the 9th volume is out (as far as I know it's the last volume that was adapted in season 1) because it took them sooo long to announced it.
I just hope can avoid crucial spoilers. So far I've successfully avoided most spoilers (I read two or three chapters of the WN and came across one detail when I looked something up but I already forgot what it was ) and most fans in this forum used spoiler tags and warnings but when people get emotional over their waifu things might change.
Looking at the visual, with no Rem but Emilia in the center standing very close to Subaru, I should probably prepare for the worst .

Both!

It sucks to hear the whole cast is getting recasted. The old dub wasn't really that good by today's standards and definitely needed some improvements, but the main cast should've stayed. Especially seeing how much they care about these roles and how disappointed they are that they were all turned down when they auditioned. It's going to be weird to have an English dub without Spike Spencer as Shinji or Tiffany Grant as Asuka.

I once spoiled myself in a big way that changed everything about where a show was going before I started it, so I went in waiting for this one big reveal. Except the spoiler wasn't real, so I got to the end and was like "Wait wut?"

The funny part is I think the non-existent spoiler I expected would've made the story better so I was disappointed.

That they weren't even invited to audition seems so weird.

The trailer music also makes me wonder what would happen if they decided to rescore the series itself and cause their own apoplectic internet apocalypse.

Same happened to me once. I spent dozens of episodes waiting for a major plot twist that didn't actually exist.

It looks to me like whoever is in charge of the dub just wants to remake the series entirely in their image by starting from scratch and wants nothing to do with the old VAs.
