But the more important question here is whether or not anime can rationally be categorized as "cartoon porn". What is your enraged opinion on such ignorant heathenism, Hentai-Senpai?

I try to avoid doujins and eroanime that have too much story, so for me, it is lol. One of my favorite artists really just does like over the top silly stuff and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Understandable, especially with NTR and rape. There are some artists who feel the need to produce ero-doujins with the sole intent to leave one with a feeling of emptiness. It is mainly why I stick to vanilla material. Honestly...no matter how heartbreaking Clannad, Air, Your Lie In April or Aoi Bungaku is, they will not at all comparable to the erodoujins I read.

I am discussing the fetishes covered, but the overwhelming sense of despair that permeates once the story is finished. Maybe it is due to my worsening depression, but man, do certain authors like Shindlol know how to make me feel like a piece of crap. It is actually kind of a wonderful thing when pornographic works can do that.

Albeit, the presence of adult material makes it easier to cover a wider range of topics.

My mind is blown, a YouTuber I watch that does video game and Warcraft stuff normally made a hentai review show that’s actually decently high quality and put it up on Vimeo. No April fools. It was the most hilarious thing I’ve seen in a while. I’m still having a hard time believing it’s reality. This is usually the type of thing I dream about after eating left over pizza before bed.

I wish I could say April fools on this but yup. He’s from like New York and somehow ended up achieving his dream of becoming a professional eromanga artist in Japan lol. He even has like a Patreon because he’s working on like an erotic jrpg project. I couldn’t believe it either when I found out. Now that I look at some of his things though, they are a bit more liberal than things by normal Japanese artists. It’s a weird thing to say, but normal artists while they may go extreme on things they keep to a certain theme. He tends to get somewhat more adventurous with his ideas. I guess what I’m trying to say is, his brand of porn is a bit more artsy.

I'd say he isn't quite extreme in terms of fetishes but sure knows how to kick one in the emotional balls at times. If any of you know the works I am referring, then you know how I feel. I'd say it takes a certain amount of talent not to drive a stake through the readers' heart with some fetishistic elements that are naturally offputting, but actually using things akin to actual storytelling to do so.

I mean, to cite a non-pornographic work, anyone can make a grimace-inducing series like Corpse Party's anime adaptation, but another thing to actually make say...Berserk. (Alright, I admit, everyone is citing Berserk as the mecca of well written edgy series.)

I just saw this. Haven't watched it yet but I'll get to it at some point.

I remembered him talking about it a while back but I didn't know they had several episodes out already.

edit:

YU-NO was pretty uneventful.

edit:

So nothing else new until Yatogame-chan on the 4th (and two others that are sequels).

The first Million Arthur is 10 episodes and I probably watched close to half of them, might just knock that out later.

The 5th will be busier for releases but if Fairy Gone is a bomb at least it'll be out of the way early.

edit:

Gigguk is doing a spring chart stream.

edit:

Oh wow we're getting an original Kunihiko Ikuhara this season? Sarazanmai, starts April 11th.

edit:

The new Strike Witches isn't legit Strike Witches, it's like a low budget flash animation thing. Not sure why it exists.

Sarazanmai is my most anticipated spring anime this season ( excluding the sequels). I have no idea what it is about but the visuals look like it could be a lot of fun to watch.
I also have Fairy Gone, Carole & Tuesday and Kimetsu no Yaiba on my list of spring anime that look promising and there a few more titles that could be interesting.
I might actually end up with a packed spring season this year.

I'm surprised I didn't hear any buzz about it before this considering the people I follow on Twitter.

After going through the chart in the Gigguk stream I think the season is kind of weaker than I'd thought initially, but hopefully there's enough to pull it though. Also not sure why I thought Shield Hero had ended, it started in winter not fall.

It's weird when I consider a Winter season to be stronger than the following Spring season. Attack on Titan and Isekai Quartet are the only 2 I'm really forward to. Fair Gone and Carol & Tuesday look interesting. No idea what to expect from Fruits Basket but I'll check it out too. Something about Kimetsu no Yaiba seems off to me for some reason but I'll watch since it's ufotable. I've got low expectations for One Punch Man.

A surprise is Cinderella Nine might actually have pretty high production values.

Trying to learn Spanish for reasons, will say that grammatically, Japanese is much much simpler. Spanish has a shit ton of verb conjugations, like literally probably 30 for each verb. Japanese has like 5 that are very consistent.

Conjugation in Japanese is definitely super easy. It's then tacking on the 1-4 extra bits that change the meaning further that gets confusing
