Well I went full Saitama. I abandoned the rest of my hair, I look a lot younger fully bald so I’m happy with it. The way I was balding made me look like 15 years older. The only thing is I have to wear a hat on chilly days because I really feel the cold in my head now.

Good decision. It barely ever looks good when men you're age who are balding rather fast or in an unflattering way cling on to their hair. Even I, someone who really loves long hair, think that most of them should go completely bald (and maybe grow a beard instead).

Tomorrow I add crenelations and some timber framing then I can mod podge this sucker.

Edit: Woot done. Let that dry overnight and touch it up in the morning. Or like, in a few hours since it's still early.

Oh, you're actually building something in real life. I thought you were building something inside a game .
I'm almost envious right now. I want to start sewing all the dresses I've planned throughout the last few months but I have to waste 13 more days learning stuff I'll never need in my professional life (which doesn't mean that I think the knowledge itself is useless. Everybody should know why the Weimar Republic failed but I have to learn it in such great detail that it's starting to annoy me).

When Srlan's post is nowhere to be found, and you are left thinking if Crunchyroll broke again.

No need to worry. The mods deleted a few spam posts. I'm pretty sure that's why my post didn't show up.

I wonder if there is an anime about a female otaku who claims that 2-D men in anime are superior to men in real life, before a 2-D character of one of her favourite series comes to life?

Man, what one Cell of a woman!

It’s funny because Shojo series very often have like the perfect guy as the love interest. Tall, handsome, and perfect at everything. Yet with like harems, the only real requirements for the female characters is that they be kinda cute and not into other guys.

I’d say male nerds are much less demanding than female nerds are lol.

Without sounding too incel-y, isn't that pretty much true for all women, not just women nerds? Guys generally just need a girl that's cute to them and is loyal (some are a bit pickier, like wanting one that can cook too). Women generally though (at least in modern America) have a bit more of a checklist. Looks, income, coolness, wardrobe, hobbies, etc. In general, women want the "perfect man" a lot more while guys don't need perfection, but just want something nice to look at. I guess there's a reason dogs are a man's best friend... They're usually cute (albeit in a different way) and loyal

And to clarify, these are generalizations, there's always gonna be plenty of exceptions when talking about groups on such a large scale.

Heck, I know with my last relationship, I just wanted for my ex to take care of herself halfway decently, be honest with me about stuff, and not be psycho. Meanwhile, she wanted me to share the same exact political beliefs, go into a specific field for money rather than for what I loved, follow her wherever she wanted to go even if it took me away from my family, believe in her no matter what (even though her art skills are honestly crap)... Yeah, I had to live up to a lot more, which is why I'm glad I broke it off And now I'm travelling further than she ever wanted me to, but for myself instead of someone else. It's always nice when your dreams allow you to simultaneously spite people

One of the things I use to say is that as a male, our standards for female beauty is a lot lower than the ones females have towards other females.

It is seemingly true though, the average male doesn't absolutely need a supermodel.

I do not believe I could vouch for the rest. I have been asked out by plenty of women. Many of them were people I was more than attracted to. The reason I turned most of my suitors down was that I had extremely high standards in many other areas as I was growing up, foremost among them being intelligence and high social standing.

I was very much looking for someone who would make me look good, who I thought I deserve. Needless to say, I was a huge prick if someone did not come very close to my absurdly high standards.

This is an ongoing point of addressment in my therapy sessions. That and my homicidally mass murdery and stalkery urges.

Good luck!

This is the first time I've done anything artsy-craftsy in probably 15 years, it's been a fun adventure. The tower is ready to paint but my heart isn't, so I'm making a little test piece to practice dry brushing on before I do anything else.

I'd like more ideas of fantasy-type buildings to build, been playing Skyrim again to look for architectural inspirations.

You need to be more specific than that. Make sure she likes Saitama. Otherwise you'll just run into girls who say that Genos is their husbando.

Dry brushing seems like it should be easier than I'm finding it to be.

Edit: Stonework is done, will paint the doors and timbers tomorrow then blackwash everything.

Two of the news story bits from the Cox and Crendor podcast were also on The Late Show that night.

Watching Umaru S2, for some reason she doesn’t annoy me nearly as much as she did in S1. I even think her VA has a very pretty voice when not in the chibi form.

Finished painting all the wood parts. If I could roll back time I definitely wouldn't have assembled a lot of the different pieces before painting, makes getting paint on the wrong parts difficult. I think I can dry brush gray over the little bit of escaped brown though with a paper or something so the gray doesn't touch the timber and then I can darkwash it.

I've also learned today to soak brushes in hot vinegar to soften them back up.

Edit: Ah nope, think there's just going to be blotches of brown on some of the stonework if you look closely.

Tower update, I'm part way up the third of five tiers. It's actually taking a lot less brick cutting than I expected.

Just slow figuring out how to do everything.
