I think I’m just done with Nisekoi style harems. I have enough samples to convince me that it’s a shit idea.

Logical progression > unexpected plot twists

A Wishbone cameo in the live-action segment of Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga would be amazing.

Edit:

The "scientists in love" comedy was actually kind of fun.

Edit:

Runway de Waratte is good! So happy! I'd been preparing myself for weeks for it to be terrible.

There was snow and sheets of ice on the ground yesterday but I walk outside tonight and it's nearly 65F.

I put layers on to take out the garbage and walked into a pleasant late spring evening in January wtf.

Edit:

Just Dorohedoro left now I think.

The year's gone by so fast. It feels like just yesterday that the year started and now we're already in April!

I saw the OP. The OP alone had more cooking animation than Food Wars season 4.

I literally went around and opened the windows for a while cause it was warmer outside than in.

Also reminder Weathering With You is in select theaters today and tomorrow.

It's the first anime movie I've seen come to my local theater so it might be near you as well.

I left 30 minutes in, theater swapped the dubbed/subbed screenings and the projector wasn't sized to the screen anyway, so even if there were subs you couldn't make out half of them. The other edges were off the screen too.

The staff were told as soon as the movie started and I waited half an hour before leaving. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Got a free ticket to come back some other time though I guess.

I'm curious if there's any words about CR Picks: Best Character 2019?

Sorry. I don't plan on hosting it again this year. The forums aren't as active as they once were. CR's site keeps falling apart over time. It was fun playing along and seeing others having fun (and a bit of salt), but it was also a lot of work setting up a tournament of that size.

Ever put something in the microwave but forget what was then get dumbfounded when what you thought was your cup of water turned into two pieces of bread instead?

Life is weird sometimes.

Edit: Made in Abyss sequel confirmed. Unknown format though (could be another movie).

Chapter 32 of Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru went from channeling Toradora to Dark Souls in two pages.

(The one about an angel and demon by Sawayoshi Azuma since I don't think it has much name recognition.)

No...

I always know what I put in the microwave since my training needs me to be vigilant on which microwave is laboratory use versus food.

Well I watched through Nadia the Secret of Blue Water.

It was alright, but the plot is quite template and it’s not even the best way it’s been done. Like you get basically the same story with Eureka 7 and it’s 1000x better. Nadia the character on the other hand has to be the worst main heroine in this type of story. She especially gets so bad between episodes 26 and 34 that I like to pretend those were a fever dream. Like I honestly stopped being concerned for her well being. Her getting kidnapped or threatened with death meant nothing to me eventually. Like if Jean just decided part way through the story to just give up on her and go home, I would have been completely satisfied with that ending.

I can definitely see how this series spawned Evangelion. I especially think that Asuka was created as a second Nadia, and the masturbation scene and choking scene were put in there for catharsis. Because there were definitely times I wanted to choke Nadia.

According to the rumor mill Anno wasn't given any creative control while directing it and he wasn't thrilled with the situation either. It was cool though to go "Oh damn, this is where a metric shit-ton of Evangelion came from, isn't it."

It sucks that Anno has had so many bad experiences with TV anime though as well, it basically rules out us ever seeing a full series adaptation of Nausicaa since he's the only one Miyazaki has said he'd be fine with directing it.
